Next time, I'll try the Antipasto Caldo with shrimp, stuffed mushrooms and eggplant rollatini. It sounds delicious and speaking of delicious, those garlic knots were so flavorful. This Italian meal was very good and although we ordered takeout, I'd like to enjoy a meal in the dining area. This restaurant isn't cheap, but you get quality food for your money. Even though this dish was not on the menu, the waiter asked the kitchen if it could be prepared for them. The Kitchen was able to accommodate except had to use a different pasta. The music, and meeting others yelpers, as well as the yelp ambassadors (Adela and Ophelia) were an added bonus going to this event. There were a couple of execution issues--two of the items ( onion rings and tomatoes on baguette) we sampled were a little soggy. Also, the event was scheduled until 2:00 PM, but the brisket and rib samples had run out by about 1:30. The event was very well attended, so I'm sure the large turnout contributed to the shortage. Overall, it was a fun experience, and we appreciated the opportunity to sample what HeyDay has to offer. There were definitely some delicious highlights, and the friendly service made it an enjoyable afternoon. We have been to the other restaurant Bicyclette Cookshop, and will definitely come back to HeyDay.
