This might be the best Italian food in North Naples. The food is consistently delicious and well seasoned. Service is excellent and the ambiance is an old school Italian restaurant, like the movies. Loud environment and average food. We had the Bresuelo as an appetizer and Fettuccine Alfredo as a main course. Both were bland. We also ordered a Zinfandel from Napa Valley. On inspection, the wine was not from Napa Valley and the waiter didn't make any offers to exchange the wine or make it right. There was also a sharing charge. When you're paying $150 anyway including wine, waive the $10 share charge. read more

Just ok This is our 3rd time there. Pasta dishes are over cooked. No substitutions even something as simple with a chicken Parm. they are stuck in past times. The dishes are mediocre at best fried Calamari is excellent. I had the veal Sorentino. It was OK nothing special. The eggplant was undercooked ,The prosciutto tasted like old ham. The veal was tender, but had no color on it. I asked can I get pasta no vegetable they told me no so probably won't return as they cannot accommodate very simple substitutions. I've been in a business for 30+ years so I do understand about substitutions, but also customers are limited to what they can eat as well and sometimes I would like to have a change obviously if you have pasta and I didn't want a vegetable what's the big deal just to swap it out. One of our guest ask for plain grilled shrimp on a bed of steamed spinach. The answer was no. Waiter just said whatever is on the menu. I would try to accommodate your customers a little bit better if you want some business and better reviews ambience was fair. Also they have had the same specials every time. read more

The food was genuinely superb and came out quickly and hot. Five people with allergies and they got it all right. Freshest tomato sauce ever! Limited outdoor seating, and it overlooks a parking lot so not very scenic. There were unfortunately quite a few mosquitoes so hopefully they don't stick around. Looks like they had heat lamps too, although we didn't need them. The fresh hot bread at the start was a nice touch (feels like most places don't give free anymore), although would've been better if they gave soft warm butter on a plate instead of cold hard butter packets straight from the fridge. read more

Where have I been? We are from the north east and keep seeking the perfect Italian restaurant. We tried to go here two years ago and they were closed. Finally found the real thing. Home made pasta cooked Al dente. Marinara that is exquisite. I tried chicken cacciatore an old favorite from my nj days. Not chicken with red sauce! Real chicken that melts in your mouth with mushrooms and fresh vegetables in a delicious fresh tomato sauce. Light and tart. Nice wine list without stupid prices and lovely music and tablecloths. I'm a romantic and this place has won my heart. I didn't mention the service because I felt like family here. Unforgettable food and professionals. read more

Food was delicious. However quoted an incorrect price for my meal. When I mentioned to owner and waiter I was rudely dismissed. Waiter who misquoted price by almost $15 stated he would give us difference out of his pocket. We said no but really expected management to verify w staff that wrong price was given and fix bill. Thank you Yelp reviewers for your ratings of this restaurant, It is very close to our winter rental and we made a reservation (highly recommended for any Naples restaurant) for last night, We had a superb experience. The service was attentive and welcoming. The food was outstanding. We shared a Cesare salad and an eggplant rollatini. My husband ordered the osso bucco and I had the housemade ravioli with lobster meat. The wine was excellent as well. Although this is a bit pricy, we felt the value was truly there. It was also apparent that most of the clientele were regulars and we certainly could see why. We will definitely be back! read more

What a disappointment. We were expecting a little gem of a restaurant with food cooked with creativity, inspired flavors and well presented. Instead we were served a mound of heavily sauced -what tasted like overcooked boxed pasta-smothered in bland ,thick, tart tomato sauce with sliced sausage The presentation was not enticing nor flavorful. I have to say this was not northern cuisine, spaghetti and meatballs not a typical dish. My companion loved the meatballs but pasta again was overcooked and overly sauced. The chicken marsala was not seasoned well and was especially disappointing with no big flavor. Pretty awful culinary experience . Sorry to say. Im sure this restaurant has its regulars and Im happy for them. But this Italian girl and friends will not be returning. read more

We recently had the misfortune of dining at Panevino Ristorante. Here's what went wrong: Our reservations were for 7:15 pm. We, along with a dozen or so other customers, waited impatiently for a table in the outside area. An employee indicated we would receive a complimentary glass of wine for the long wait inconvenience. After being told several times that our table was ready (which it was not) we were finally seated an hour later. Our dinners came with a vegetable medley. We asked the owner to substitute this with potatoes or spinach. The owner said this could not, and would not, be done. But we could buy a side for$7.95. While we were being seated another very annoyed customer walked by indicating he was asked to leave as he was taking too long to finish at his table. Our waitress poured our wine and again indicated the first round was on the house. We subsequently ordered a second round (a full bottle). Then came the bill with a substantial charge for the first round of wine. I reminded the waitress that the first round was on the house and to remove the charge. A few minutes later she returned with the owner, who attempted to justify the charge. I indicated that I would not pay the charge. He indicated that since the waitress told us it was on the house he agreed to remove it. In summary, the owner willingly overbooked his restaurant, did not honor his commitment, did not attempt to accommodate his customers, attempted to increase customer cost, and consequently created an overall poor dining experience. One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Florida. Excellent food, great energy, and service was superb.

Sal is beyond rude. We were a party of five and when he brought a wrong dish he proceeded to tell all of us that we were wrong... that he had confirmed the dish twice with the person and he was right. This was after he became bothered to need to repeat some of the specials for a lady that does not hear well... and basically laying me out when I asked about gluten free options. There are words to describe him... but I think I would get censored if I use them here. Dinner was good... but the attitude of the server overshadowed everything else. We live right here in PB but doubt we will ever return. read more

I LOVE the puttanesca and the atmosphere at PaneVino! I also love other dishes, but that one is my favorite. To go there and savor some Chianti or Pinot Noir while being served by Benny and other members of the attentive staff is my idea of what a good meal ought to be like. Writing about it right now late at night after having had a good enough dinner is making me hungry. Salvatore, the owner and manager, is fastidious and meticulous when it comes to the details of his restaurant. I hope that this review brings PaneVino more of the clientele it deserves. I've recently been to Lemoncello and another place that people rave about. Fuggetaboutit! PaneVino is neither cheap nor expensive. If you can spend $80 on a good meal, give it a shot. read more

Get this man fired, or better yet booked. positives first: food is pretty good. better than average. not worth the price, small portions and average quality. negatives: the service is a atrocious. first off, as a linguist, i am certain that not all of the staff is actually italian;any of them out on fake cheesy accents that are on the nose and offensive. the wait staff is rude; they think they are being charming but are aggressive, unhelpful, and offensive. the hostess , who has no business being the first face you see upon walking in, was incredibly rude to my 85 year old aunt. her coworker waiter, a man of probably 50-60, was just as rude, aggressive, and rushing. the place was not nearly busy enough for the waiters to be acting like they worked at the most important restaurant in the world. after all, this is a mediocre italian-inspired american restaurant with a cheap and outdated atmosphere with rude and entitled staff. it's just another crappy spot in strip mall. might as well get taco ball and watch a movie at home. read more

So let me begin with the positive. The food was very good. And that's where it ends. The owner ( Maitre 'D) was intrusive, rattling off the daily specials at the speed of light, and had the gall to tell my husband that he should not be putting cheese on his seafood Positano . Explained that you couldn't have too much cheese for my husband, and he reiterated that by adding parmesan, you have ruined the balance of the dish. He said "you turned it into another kind of dish... A cheese dish ". Really quite rude, and we waited and waited and had to finally ask for our check. A one and done for us! read more

We have been here a few times. Tonight we took two guests with us. we waited an hour and fifteen minutes to get our food. People that arrived 20 minutes after us had already eaten, paid and left before we got our food. we told the waiter. No help. We talked to the manager twice. Finally food arrived. Mine was hot my wife's dish was cold. Not warm. Cold. we asked for the manager again and he sent her dish back and microwaved it. Then to add insult to injury, when the bill arrived at full price, they automatically added a 20% tip. We will not return. read more

Felt like being in an episode of Seinfeld. Very busy and crowded small strip mall restaurant. The owner clearly rules the place with an iron fist and is less than welcoming. That said service is good albeit super rushed and again rather cold. The specials as blurted out by the owner were unintelligible and then we were constantly rushed to order as clearly they were trying to turn over tables. The food was merely adequate and uninspiring, caked in over the top sauces. My wild salmon could have been chicken it was so drowned by garlic filled marinara sauce. At the end the owner and waiter hovered around our table glaring, to ensure we paid the bill and got up so that he could seat others. Ordered the Lobster Ravioli and the homemade Fettuccine with mushrooms. The house Chianti was awful and the Sangiovese the waiter was praising ($13 a glass) wasn't much better. The pasta didn't taste homemade at all. Any packet noodles from Publix would have been better. There was no sauce with it, just some lazy chopped up onions and tons of garlic in bad oil. Not even good olive oil was used. The ravioli (5 of them) were 10 times tastier but still mediocre at best. Not worth the $30. All in all this place is overpriced and unfortunately one of the worst places to eat Italian food in Naples. read more

I have to say, the dinner entrees were delicious. Entrees portions were decent, but not abundant. The salad portions were rather meager. There is, however, something a bit odd about the service. I'm not quite sure how to describe the service vibe: definitely aggressive and lacking any personal touch. I felt as though the customers were not "guests," but rather an annoyance to be tended to and then dismissed. A small example (and the least offensive of a few),, our pepper-mill was empty. When I asked the server if he could fill it or replace it, he suggested that I didn't know how to use it. He then proceeded to try to use it, but nothing came out. He returned a few moments late with new pepper-mill. At best, the service was efficient. In sum, I would describe the food (even with the smaller portions) as being quite good (4/5), but the service degraded that rating. read more

Idk how it's still in business. Homemade gnocchi are the frozen kind. 3 tiny pcs of bruschetta are $10...$3.33 each tiny pc of bread with tomatoes...tasted like poop. Wierd vibe in the place too. Gnocchi portions are ok and the sauces tasted just ok but you're paying almost $30 for a plate of pasta. The burrata appetizer is a golf ball sized burrata and 5 cherry tomatoes cut in half drenched in balsamic vinegar. And you have to beg for bread. Never, ever again. read more
