My family and I moved to Naperville over 30 years ago. This office is the only dental office we have seen since we moved here; there has never been a reason to look elsewhere. Dr. Cheung is the "main guy" there (having succeeded the original owner) and has proven himself to be dependable, professional and truly concerned with helping all of his patients. We have also had experience with his associates, Dr. Rafikova and Dr. Regan. These are caring, friendly, professional people who concern themselves with not only being able to do top-notch dental work, but with putting the patient at ease. Example: last week I broke an old crown. They got me in the chair and fixed up with a new crown that afternoon! Maybe I got lucky, but they did it and the crown is great. The professionalism runs through the entire crew as well: hygienists and office staff as well. I never met the janitor, but I'm sure he (or she) is professional also! Seriously, they are all helping me meet my goal of keeping my teeth healthy for my entire life. I can highly recommend Dr.Cheung and his associates with confidence. I've been going to this office for years and have always gotten great service! I recently chipped a tooth and I was in a chair getting it fixed the day after I called - they did great work, as usual! They are a more skilled dental group than many others since, beside the traditional leaning, filling, etc., they can do root canals, crowns and even implants. This can literally save you days and weeks of time. How about a root canal and then a new crown all in one visit? Crazy good and fast! read more

When I say this place is NEXT LEVEL, I genuinely mean it. Dr. Cheung is so thorough and is extremely relatable. He not only focuses on my dental health, but on my overall health. During my most recent visit on July 3rd, I was feeling under the weather due to sinus issues. I told Dr. Cheung that I had just left the allergist and that they said I had to seek treatment and possibly surgery for my severe sinusitis. He immediately explained to me that he wouldn't be able to replace my crown or work in my mouth at all because of my compromised breathing. He also told me about a small, inexpensive device that I could use to see if it helps with my nasal breathing. It was something off of Amazon that he mad no promises of a cure, but just something to try for temporary relief until my follow-up with my ENT. Well, lo and behold, this tiny, medical grade silicone contraption gave me immediate relief. I was able to have my crown replaced and I was able to BREATHE. Also, o sleep eight hours for the first time in over five years. I'm forever grateful. No, he's not a ENT doctor, but he's a doctor, just the same. The fact that he would research options for relief for his patient's conditions not dental related tells me he genuinely cares about his patients. I have referred at least ten people to Dr. Cheung and they have very similar compliments. This is the only dentist you will ever need to see. read more

Its been a few months since seeing this office and I just want to say Dr. Chueng and the staff are great! He made me feel so comfortable and after what I went through somewhere else he made it so easy to get the work done and was just a stand up dentist! They do not take commercial insurance but the work we usually really want hardly ever gets covered and I'm telling you they are great. Simply the best dental office I have ever been to. I'm predisposed to cavities, so with just a little let up in my regimen, I need fillings etc. Needless to say, my beautiful set of teeth have seen many dentists. Honestly, this is the best and most forthright dental office I've ever visited. They are gentle, have multiple options for easing pain, they don't make you feel like "just a number" and have the latest technology. This high quality experience is what made me chose them although they are out of my network of insurance. I'm so grateful for this office. What are you waiting for? Last Saturday I had a piece of my tooth break off . I immediately called Dr Shanahan's office and they were closed . I left a message that I needed to see someone and make an appointment . On Sunday Pat from the dentist office called me . I so appreciate it or call as I know the office is really busy here at the end of the year Pat was able to work me in for Dr Reagan to see what could be done on Monday . Dr Reagan was able to put in a temporary filling. I really appreciated this since they are so busy at this time of year . The whole staff was very helpful and kind . Came in for an initial appointment with Dr. Cheung. I chipped my tooth while I was eating and I didn't have any previous dental work done before except cleanings, so I was very, VERY nervous about Anesthetic (numbing). I don't mind the dentist, but I hate needles! Needless to say, Dr. Cheung understood my concerns. He talked me right through it, and I kid you not, I FELT NOTHING! I was waiting and waiting, and I felt nothing! The most difficult part was calming myself beforehand! I know now that on future appointments, I won't have to prepare myself because it was no big deal at all! He is truly gifted in this department! Dr. Cheung presented and showed my problem area with a camera on the tv screen above my head (very nice since you don't have to deal with being positioned up and down on the dental chair) and showed me the dental work after it was complete. He is very informative in giving different options of treatment I am able to get, with the possibilities of where each one may lead. He also presents information with pictures to give a visual on what he is talking about and videos as well. I felt like I was part of the procedure the whole time. Dianna assisted Dr. Cheung the whole time and is very nice! What is nice about their office too is that they are able to offer in house crown restoration. Also! Something to consider if you don't have DENTAL INSURANCE: Their office offers affordable IN HOUSE insurance! You don't have to deal with insurance companies and are able to get the treatment you need at a discounted rate, with most cleanings included in their yearly plan. Sounds pretty amazing to me! The office is very clean, organized, professional, modern, and the staff upfront are very nice! They are a digital office so you complete your paperwork on an iPad: the questions were straight to the point and not long at all. There is a Keurig if you want a drink beforehand. Wait time was less than 10 minutes. Who can say they look forward to dental appointments when they have to schedule them? I can! Thanks Dr. Cheung! read more

That was probably the easiest dental visit I've ever encountered. They checked me in, got me to fill out paperwork that actually makes sense, cleaned my teeth and I was on my way. My hygienist Sheryl was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions easily. She kept me informed the entire time so I never didn't know why we were doing something.
