I don't want to write this review in reference to the salon Bella Donna itself, but rather it's Stylist, Renae. I was highly upset by my experience with her. I visited the salon and requested a trim. I was in the process of growing out long layers and specifically asked her to not style the layers and merely give me a trim. When my hair was finished being cut, I was absolutely horrified by the chunky layers that were present in my hair. I returned to the salon and showed the receptionist and requested to see if I could have another stylist correct my hair, or at least have a refund. Unfortunately, each of the stylists are independent contractors and therefore, the salon cannot have another stylist do your hair for free. The receptionist contacted the owner to see what they could do and the receptionist described my hair saying that it looked like it was "hacked into." Since another stylist couldn't do my hair, it was then in the hands of the stylist who did my hair. She called me and offered to re-cut it. I told her after the initial cut, that I really did NOT feel comfortable having her cut my hair again, and asked for a refund, or at least a partial one. I myself am a makeup artist and would gladly give someone a partial reimbursement if they were unhappy, because it's good customer service. Renae refused and I was out $65 for a terrible hair cut that has now taken me 7 months to grow out! Beware - do NOT go to Renae if you are a first timer!!! read more

I have lived two miles from Bella Donna Salon for eleven years never to step inside. Today I hit desperation point with my hair. I stopped using my regular stylist and have gone over six months without a cut. I took my chances and decided to throw caution to the wind. Hey, there must be a reason for the "walk in's welcome" sign right???? The salon is modern, cheerful and accommodating. I needed to wait for about 20 minutes but was introduced to the nicest stylist. I only wish I would have remembered her name. She gave great recommendations for my cut and went to work. Long story short, I could not be more pleased. She did everything perfectly and my hair is beautiful! I kinda like this walk in stuff. No appointments to reschedule on your busy day. I have Evette at the salon do my hair and she is amazing. A couple of years ago I wanted to bleach my hair blonde, but was afraid to go to a salon to do it because I didn't want to pay for a bad job. After Evette did my mom's highlights, I was sold. My mom and I have medium/dark brown hair, so bleaching can go brassy very easily. Both my mom's and my hair look great!
