I'm really disappointed with my experience at this salon. I came in for a gray hair color service, but the results were poorly done -- I still have a lot of visible gray, even after pointing it out to the stylist. I honestly feel misled by all the positive reviews. The service did not match the expectations at all. I didn't feel welcomed, and the stylist seemed disengaged, just going through the motions without checking in or making sure I was satisfied. For $300, this was a very frustrating experience. I asked for a basic haircut nothing fancy showed pictures, hair stylist looked confused! It's 2026 if you aren't staying up to date with how to cut hair how can you justify $100!! This is by far the worst haircut I've ever had. I have considered going back and asking them to fix it, but why would I trust scissors in any one of their hands!! So I'm out $115 and btw your website states that a basic haircut is $85!! You cut my hair for 45 minutes and over charged me for uneven and way too short of hairstyle and I specifically asked not to go too short, a trim!! I highly recommend Cella for Keratin Complex treatment. She did an amazing job with my hair. I requested not to have my hair super flat. She did it in a way that kept the body/ movement and maintained my natural waves without the frizz. 3 days of no wash was a breeze. My hair was not sticky and did not get oily. I had scheduled an appointment for 12/30 at noon with the competent Diana, ensuring my punctuality. However, upon arrival, Angela insisted, that my appointment was mistakenly set for 12/29 at noon, a date I certainly did not agree to. Her dismissive attitude was further exacerbated when she audibly sighed and remarked under her breath, suggesting it was my error with an eye roll. Consequently, I was forced to wait for over 40 minutes due to Angela double-booking my slot with another client, demonstrating a lack of organization and respect for clients' time! It is insane to me that they call themselves a luxury salon. The salon was also incredibly clean and open. The people are a fun vibe. This was my first time going here and I was SO happy! The atmosphere is cute and it feels really open. It's kind of off the beaten track, where the new Target is by Kaleidoscope. Courtney did my hair, and she did a great job!! I told her I wanted to get the gold out of my hair and go blonder. I was so impressed at how close together she did her foils so I could go as blonde as possible. She recommended a toner to get the gold out, as well as a tip out which took so much gold out of my ends. She knew right away what to do to get what I was looking for. The stylist charged by the hour. which included her lunch break and personal phone calls while she left a trainee to do my hair. I had my hair done by Riri Roya and overall it was okay. She was a little late to the appointment, which was okay because I wanted to grab a coffee. She was very positive and seemed pretty knowledgeable about highlighting hair. I wanted subtle, thin weave highlights. I also had extremely long and heavy hair because I just had a baby. Starting off she was kind of all over the place with putting my hair up and seemed a bit disorganized. She mixed up a ton of bleach which always frightens me (lol)! She would take a chunk of hair and would weave through and then teased it. My first reaction was that's going to hurt coming out....and it did! I do have a lot of hair so it takes a while but the back of my hair was already finished before she even started on the sides. It was kind of a mess (but I can't blame her for that, obviously)! 2.5 hours later she dries and starts cutting my hair. She used this method where she trimmed the hair and then was hacking my ends pretty savagely. In the end, my hair looks okay down but in a pony tail I look like Pauly D from the Sopranos and my hair is extremely uneven. It'll grow back and my highlights will eventually fade. I normally do not write bad reviews but this frustrated me a lot. If you want to feel welcomed and treated with respect, don't come here. Customer service here is so bad. Receptionist needs to be replaced or be trained for better customer services. Businesses should not only care about quality of the work but also the customer service because that's where you keep returning clients. First, I've tried calling multiple times when I first booked my first appointment. This was within the hours so they should've had picked up. Second, after finally picking up, I felt like the receptionist was totally rude and assertive when she should've been making me feel welcomed. That was a red flag already but I let it slide because I needed to get my hair done asap. Third, the lady on the phone typed in my number wrong for the personal account and because of that I did not receive a notification for confirmation of the appointment, making me late to my appointment because I didn't remember the time. However during this time I didn't know about the incident of the wrong number until my second booking which I will talked about later in the post. Third, after arriving 30 mins late bc of no confirmation text , when I arrived, she did not even acknowledge me. I was standing right in front of her and she did not care to say hi or look at me. Usually when a client walks in, you have to acknowledge them and greet them or ask them if they had an appointment, she did not do any of that and I know she saw me since I was standing right in front of her. The fact that I had to greet myself after two mins of standing in front of her, it's horrible customer service and she didn't know who I was either so she couldn't have been mad at me for being late because I didn't say who I was when I came in. After getting my hair toned by Sydney. I booked a second appointment for gloss in three weeks and it was supposed to be on the 24 of May. I didn't know anything about the notification of booking during that time so it slipped my mind. I just knew that it was booked but after three weeks I'm not going to remember the date. I then call a few days ago after remembering I had an appointment but wasn't sure what day and they said it was a no show because I didn't come. Understanding that, I apologized for the no show but I also dispute and said I never had a confirmation for the appointment and the girl was arguing with me saying she called me a million times and left me so many voice messages but came to find out after I asked her to repeat the number she got my last 4 digits wrong. It is 7264 but she repeated 7364. Not realizing I caught the slip up as we repeated the number together, she pretends and says " oh I'm going to fix your name because it's a lower j for Jessica" but the truth was she messed up the number and was blaming me for her mistake. Which I also want to expressed the way that she was blaming me was very rude. Let's say the number was correct and it was my fault, she still should've said it nicely. Not like we are friends and blamed me in a tone that was rude. I am the client, not her. Finally , after booking again I suggested I stayed on the phone to make sure I received a text message confirming my appointment before I hung up and the whole time she was still not taking accountability for her mistake. Saying that, she called a million times and all that. Being on a defense mechanism and over explaining ( behaviors of a liar & someone who can't take accountability). I finally got the confirmation text and I hung up. 4. Today comes the appointment, I called at 10:21, two hours before my appointment at 12:15, to ask about my appointment but once again they did not pick up. Frustrated about what happened before and how I felt at the salon and was being treated as a client, I messaged them on their website contact to ask for a cancellation since they did not want to pick up & I also realized that I did not want to give my money to people who do not care about making their client feel welcome but instead blames them for their mistakes so I cancelled. Once again they did not reply to my message, did not even attempt to call and marked me as a no show AGAIN. Honestly I don't even care. This salon needs better customer service. It's a mediocre place, there's tone of other salons who does better work and treats their customers with respect. Go somewhere else to get your hair done. There's ton of other places. Garden Grove has so many good salons. Don't waste your money here because you will feel like you're walking on eggshells, not knowing how they're going to treat you. They give you mean girls vibes. read more
