I discovered this little gem a few years ago, and have had the pleasure of Denise as my Colorist and Stylist. She takes the time to listen and explain to me all about my specific hair needs. She does not use any harmful products and knows how to get the right shade of blonde on me without destroying my hair. Not to mention, she will give you the BEST BLOW-OUT you have ever had. I have gone from blonde to brown, then back to blonde, and from longer hair to shoulder length to mid-neck length. Denise is truly an ARTIST when it comes to color and cuts. Ever since Bella Donna Salon has been under new management, this place has underwent a total makeover. Beautiful decor, large comfortable leather seating, trendy light fixtures, very upscale and classy. The time I have saved coming here has really been helpful for me because I have two babies at home and my time is extremely valuable. Rather than driving from hair salon to nail salon to esthetician, you can go from having your hair cut/colored to having a Pedicure/No-Chip Manicure, to having your eyebrows done or lashes if you choose all at the same place. I have nothing but good things to say about my appointment with Haya! I was very nervous about getting my hair done. I don't have a good head of hair! Over treated, stress and hormonal changes have changed it! I'm very self conscious! But, Haya made me feel welcomed and I left feeling pretty again!!! She was so knowledgeable and talented. 4/10/2021 Since new management, this place got an overhaul. The place looks nice if you're into gaudy... the chandeliers and sequencing are a bit much. The new owner is the most unfriendly and unprofessional person on the planet, to both the customers and staff. When I first arrived, I wasn't greeted or acknowledged even though the owner was the first person I passed. I wasn't sure I was even in the right place because of the transformation. It's a non-functional salon. The counters were removed so my handbag had to be placed on floor beside me collecting clippings of my fallen hair. The blow drier cord kept getting in my face because of where the outlet is placed. My stylist didn't have sufficient work space for the color trays so I had to hold and hand her stuff. While my stylist was putting color on my hair, the owner rudely interrupted and violated my personal space without saying a word... she began draping garbage bags all over me and the new white upholstery chairs. Although my wonderful stylist was obviously embarrassed for the new management, she was very apologetic to me. Her stress was also quite apparent even after the owner left. She mentioned that we are probably being watched on the CCTV cameras that covers every inch of the salon. Honestly it was the most uncomfortable and excruciating 3 hours of my life. I couldn't wait to leave. I just feel so bad for the workers who don't have the easy choice to not ever go back. I've given my loyal patronage to my Bella Donna stylist for over 30 years, but everyone has a limit. I just hope my stylist is near her limit also and lets me know where she goes. Haya did beyond an amazing job on my blond coloring and my tape in extensions. After going to 4 salons that didn't give me the right color at all she not only fixed it but for an amazing cost as well. I will not let anyone else ever touch my hair after seeing what she can do, I couldn't be happier with my hair and the over all professionalism I had with her. I walked in at approximately 4:20 pm last Thursday (01/09/2012) because I was in the area and was looking for a walk-in appointment for a mani/pedi. I thought the exterior looked clean and upscale so I decided to give it a try. Upon entering, I noticed that there was no one at the receptionist desk-which was fine- at first. A stylist peeked her head around the corner to see me standing there but never greeted me or call out to have anyone meet me. I stood there for several minutes while yet another stylist peeked around to see me idly thumbing through a magazine as I stood at the receptionist desk. Finally, after 10 minutes I had had it and walked out. I called the next day at approximately 5:00 PM hoping to speak to a manager/owner about my experience to let them know they lost a customer for life and never got a call back-go figure. Bella Donna has been my salon for over two years now, so I thought it was time for me to write a review. The best thing about about this salon is that every staff member is a seasoned and highly qualified salon professional. You won't find any newbie stylists, so you can relax and enjoy your experience. Judy is my stylist. She is so good at her craft! One of the reasons I think she has been able to completely satisfy me time-after-time is that she does such a good consultation. But what I appreciate most is that her hairstyles and colors suit me. She creates styles for me that reflect my conservative personality and hair colors that make my skin look more radiant. I look forward to my appointments. A big part of it is the atmosphere. It's obvious that the staff members enjoy working together, which is great. Everybody is warm and friendly. My cousin and I went here to this salon with the intentions to have a nice experience pampering ourselves a bit. We had the worst experience and far from the opposite of a nice experience. This all started with the owner and staff being late to open the doors for our 9am appointment, and opened at 09:15am! Immediately, we felt pressured and unwelcomed when we walked in with our dealster packages. It was very clear that the obnoxious owner's mother/receptionist would not let us start our spa treatment without "upgrading" our services and paying for the tips and other services first! It was made clear several times and on different occassions that if we did not upgrade our packages that we will get a "dry" experience! So after being pressured, we upgraded our packages to a spa mani/pedi, but it seemed like it was not good enough for them. Then my cousin and I started by me getting my nails done, and she got her hair done (hoping that we coordinated this right over the phone when we made our appointment). To my disgust, my nails were being done with a dirty nail filer that was being used over and over and sprayed with a disinfectant in between filing my toenails and fingernails, yuck! I work in the medical field, and know that is not disinfecting at all, there was no time allowed for drying or having the filer be saturated for the alloted time it takes to kill off "flesh" eating bacteria!!! We had to remind the staff what treatments were involved in our package, because they were trying to "short change" us in our spa treatments. After having our nails and hair done, we were ready for our facials and massages. To our dismay, they only had one room available for this with two different employees performing one of each treatment. The owner's mother and employees told us that we are going to have to wait 2 hours for our next service because the clients whom are "paying" for their massages and "UPGRADED" services are going FIRST BEFORE US!!! I was shocked that they were upfront with telling us that. So we left and came back in 2 hours and they still were not ready for us, and this was at 340pm!!! (we have spent over 8hrs already). So when we confronted the staff about when will we be getting our other services done, the owner kept inadvertently saying that she knew when we walked in that we did not want to spend anymore money, and if we UPGRADED our package we would have been out already and taken care of! This by all means did not feel relaxing at all, I was upset and discouraged to never by these packages again. When we finally had to coordinate my facial, the only option was to have me sit in the stylist chair with my neck extended with no support, this was not comfortable at all or safe to have my neck extended for such a long period of time. Then when I got to have my massage, the room was small and very cluttered and dirty! The floors were not mopped in weeks it looked like, not alone the massage table head rest not being properly covered to protect from contaminants from other clients. The individual workers there were good, but the ownership and overall salon were horrible, they kept saying we will treat you like family. But they left us out COLD because we did not UPGRADE our packages to their content!!! This was the worst salon spa experience I had, so much for the spa treatment here. You will not find it! We did not leave until after 7pm! The owner kept getting defensive and double-talking and getting louder with each word. When we kept offering her our comments, she stated..."allright already, what is it that you want for free, cuz that is what you want...that is why you are telling me this right? " I was offended, from the moment I walked in I was offended by here and her "business etiquette", but we were not even close to being offered a refund. My experience with Bella Donna was amazing. I learn that they change to a rental station and everyone there does great work. I receive a pedicure with a no chip manicure and I coming back next week to get a color,cut, and style. If you appreciate friendly customer service and set high standards for quality, do NOT go here! I had a friend buy me a salon package for this salon, but when I went to redeem the services all of the sudden, the terms and conditions changed. The owner told me over the phone that I "HAD" to upgrade at least one of the services the first time that I went in... Since when do you force upgrades on your clients? Anyway, I selected an upgrade on my facial. The day that I went in for my facial and a mani/pedi, they told me that they don't accept American Express. That's fine, so I gave her my debit card. Apparently they don't accept debit cards either. I got dropped off at the salon, so I didn't have a car to go to the bank. She told me that I should walk across the street, in the snow and freezing cold to go to the bank to get cash... I got cash to pay for the upgrades and for the tip. I asked her to break a $20 so I could tip the girls accordingly. She told me that she didn't have any cash- at all!! Interesting. They facial was so so at best, and they didn't even do any extracting. The mani/pedi was ok, but unless you upgrade it, it is really just a polish change. When I went to schedule my remaining services, they were REALLY pushing an upgrade on this stone massage. I told them that I wasn't interested in an upgrade on the massage. They pushed this upgrade so hard that I felt uncomfortable! They were so aggressive and pushy that it was borderline harassment. The place is completely empty for a reason.... read more

This experience was supposed to be a day when I can pamper myself and not stress or feel pressured. I received the exact opposite. From the beginning when I booked the appt. over the phone I had a gut feeling this place was not going to provide a good experience, but I went against my instinct and went anyways. First, my appt was at 9am and no one was there to open the doors until 9:15. Then we were pressured by the owner to upgrade because what we had bought was so basic that we wouldn't be happy. I'm thinking why would they sell something that they know customers wouldn't be happy with to begin with? So I reluctantly upgraded a service (not the service she recommended to be upgraded which I know annoyed her but was what I wanted) . Then we go to pay (before services were performed, something I usually don't do but this woman was like a used car salesman) so again went against my gut and paid for tips and upgrade. I give her my c.c. and it gets declined twice then I give her another and that one worked fine, later I myself researched what the owner herself didn't even bother to look at was that they don't accept the first type of c.c. she took from me hence the system automatically declined it! How could you not look at the c.c. you are swiping to make sure its one that you accept? Duh! Later I looked at the stickers in the window and when other c.c. emblems were there and not the sticker for american express plus a phone call i made to my c.c. company to find out why, I had to connect the dots and see that all along they don't accept it! This is how they run a business making people feel like there cards are declined when all along you cant admit you don't even know what your doing in the first place by taking and swiping a card that you don't accept! Now all of this occurred within the first 15 minutes of being there. The worst is to come.... I start out with my services fine the girls they have do a good job and are not at fault to what ultimately pushed me to write this review. The salon itself is run extremely bad and I will be surprised if it stays open for too much longer. I received a hair cut and manicure and pedicure and thought ok great all is going well now its just time for my facial and massage but no, I get told that people that had appointments later than me are now somehow in front of me and I have to wait 2 hours! They only have one room that is used for both facials and massages by two different people so because they do not know how to schedule their clients appropriately I had to wait. I made the best out of it and went to lunch. I get back and thought I would get in right away, well no I still had to wait another hour! It was 4:15pm and I was still waiting. I ask the owner how this can happen and for an explanation on how I, who was there at 9am still be there at this time and how other customers with later appt. times be out before? She got really defensive and started saying that because these other people upgraded they were able to get the service first. That was just unfathomable to me that she would even suggest that because I didn't pay as much I basically got pushed to the side. She denied that she was doing so but kept double-talking and back tracking on everything she said throughout the day and getting loud to top it off. Then she was suggesting that I must be complaining just to get something free, which of course was not the case. When I go to a salon I expect to be treated with respect and not pushed to the side for other 'more valuable' customers. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. It summed up to her pointing fingers and blaming me for what had occurred because I wanted too many things done in one day. Of course that just doesn't make sense, why would you book all my appointments then on the phone and tell me that you can do this and have me out by lunch time and then turn around and point the finger at your client? It is just absurd, the way she runs this place. She is very aggressive and pushy and it was an instant turn off from the get-go. This is not how you keep customers. If you are a business and running a promotion to boost business then you need to treat customers as if they will be returning and not just as one-timers. Now that is exactly what I will be a one-timer. Again at no fault to the actual stylists that are there but because of the poor management and customer service that I received. It is unfortunate that due to a big mouthed overly pushy owner the whole place gets a bad wrap. If they can fix their lack of organization and coordination of services this place just might have had a return customer. So to end, my day of pampering and decompressing became a day that ended in tension and stress and a big headache. I did not leave the place until 7pm!
