This restaurant is what Italian food should taste like! The portion sizes are generous and delicious. The free garlic bread and family style served salad are tasty. We also got the crab stuffed mushrooms and the creamy seafood Alfredo/marinara sauce that the mushrooms were swimming in was so yummy that we brought the rest of the sauce home! Christmas Eve lunch and not much open so we went to Bella Italia. What a wonderful Christmas gift to ourselves! The chef-owner came out to confer with us about accommodating my wife's IBS dietary restrictions, and ultimately prepared a delicious Veal Piccata without flour. Warned us it'd be "runny" and it was, but my wife said it was delicious. My SIL and I each had the salmon with mushrooms and artichoke hearts in a sherry pink sauce over pasta. I eat a lot of salmon and this was in top 3 all time (I could name the other 2). Large portions. Very nice fresh salad served family style, good bread, nice inexpensive non pretentious glass of Chianti. Service by Abby was pleasant and flawless. Prices are moderate. Beautiful room with exposed brick walls. Will return soon. read more

I had a fantastic experience here. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms, Cajun pasta, and the sauce for the Italian bread, and everything was absolutely delicious. I'm a very pretty picky eater and they were very accommodating to my customization. The portion sizes were generous. Our server was amazing: attentive, kind, and on top of everything. My only small miss was the mixed drink I ordered, but honestly, that's on me for choosing a margarita at an Italian restaurant. It didn't take away from the overall experience at all. I would 100% come back and definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and great service. read more

Two of us went to Bella for dinner tonight. We are in town for one night and hadn't eaten lunch. As we entered the restaurant we were welcomed warmly and seated quickly. Our server was very informative, oh so pleasant and articulate. Initially I was going to have the tortellini with vodka sauce but changed my mind to the combo plate. My friend had the chicken Marsala. Both entrees were very good. The included salad came to the table in a bowl to self serve; the garlic knot bread was soft and warm and plentiful. We each had a glass of ice water and a glass of Chianti. $60 before tip for the two dinners with ambience, cloth napkins and cordial friendly service. read more

Good food, great service. Now, if you're the kind of person who goes out and orders spaghetti with marinara you could've made at home with a jar of sauce and a prayer... don't. Go for the dishes that either take four hours and a pasta roller, or ones that make you pretend you're not consuming a small lake of cream. The pasta? Honey, it's AL DENTE. Not the sad, floppy noodles this town tries to pass off as "Italian." I grew up on my grandmoms cooking, I know Al denté. Now listen, I believe good experiments require repetition and a lack of bias. So for scientific accuracy, I brought a real-life Sicilian with me as backup -- and guess what? We didn't complain once. If you knew us, you'd know that's basically unheard of. Yes, I'm aware this place has great reviews. I've gone several times with friends who like it, but I'm not fond of it. The last time, I ordered the salmon with pink sauce over pasta. The salmon was OK, the first few bites with pink sauce were tasty but then it was "old" and nauseating to me. I brought the remainder home and had with shrimp the next day, but gave most of it to the dog, who liked it, but he likes anything. It would be nice if they had more offerings that didn't feature pasta, such as grilled vegetables with chicken or shrimp. P.S. I also dislike not being served individual salads. UGH! One communal bowl per table is not my idea of being served. I hope this isn't a new trend in fine dining. read more

This Italian restaurant is fairly new to town, and replaced another that was well loved. I am pleased to say that this is even BETTER!! The food was great quality, the service was attentive and fast, and the ambiance is just the right mix of "business casual" yet family friendly. We will definitely visit again. read more

First impressions were elegant, comfortable and great for any occasion. Date night, family meal or a dinner alone, it's perfect! Quality of the service is at the level of truly fine dining establishments around the country. Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The food!! This was the best Italian food I've ever eaten outside of Little Italy in New York! It honestly might have been slightly better. Stuffed mushrooms to start, were delicious and the perfect size. The regular bread was delicious and soft and warm. The garlic bread was absolutely perfect and cheesy. The salad was delicious and just the right size. It had what appeared to be fresh grated cheese on it, with tomatoes, red onion and olives either a delicious Italian dressing. My main dish was the veal forest, perfectly cooked pasta, fork tender and moist veal, mushrooms and a Marsala cream sauce. The tiramisu was the best I've ever eaten! The quality and freshness of the food and ingredients was top notch! The owner was very attentive, informative and friendly! I loved speaking to him! Service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. We were served bread and salad, both were good. The mozzarella sticks were ok. They were out of calamari, which was my first choice. The rest of the food was not good. It's not Italian. I ordered the seafood pasta. It was visually unappetizing and was flooded with yellow-orange colored sauce. Also seemed oh that there was broccoli in it. Husbands spaghetti with meat sauce was not any better than what I make at home. read more
