Went in for a basic manicure and it was awful. They changed people 3 different times. They filed my nails and went directly to paint them and I had to remind them I wanted an actual pedicure with cuticle trim and then yep brought over a bowl of plain water for me to "soak" my nails in for maybe 3 minutes. Then they asked me at least 7 times if I wanted gel and I told them no every time that I just wanted paint. They shaped my nails terribly and then cut my cuticle and it bled. They finally painted my nails with one coat and then put a top coat on and told me to dry them and when I looked at them they looked like a 3rd grader had painted them. It was so messy and there were bubbles and the paint was see thru in some areas and I asked if they were going to add another coat of paint and they looked at me like I was crazy. I told them I could've painted them better myself and they took the polish off so the acetone felt great on my bleeding cuticle. I told them I would pay for the half assed manicure and paint them at home myself. They tried to argue when I went to check out that they were going to clean it up, but it was a French manicure paint job and painting half my nail white and then putting a top coat on and having it dry does not indicate that they would be able to fix the white paint. I paid and left. I've gone here several times for pedicures and dip nails and they've always done a lackluster job but I assumed a basic manicure should be something they couldn't mess up but clearly I was wrong. Will never be going back and will make sure to warn others about the terrible service. Waste of time and money. read more

A few weeks ago I had my nails done here and by the time I was done I wanted to crawl in a hole and die. At first I thought I was really enjoying my time but as I spoke up about the changes I wanted to make, he progressively got so upset that the tech threw his nail file down and walked off when he finished, as if I'd completely inconvenienced him. Then, he humiliated me by speaking in his native language, saying something that made everyone look at me and laugh as they told me I owed nearly $200. I really didn't expect the boss lady to join in laughing in my face, but that sealed the deal for me. He'd been telling people about his frustration with me the entire time, as the boss lady kept walking by and looking down at my nails as he was obviously upset with me. So what was the BIG DEAL? I asked him to make my nails thinner, and shorter, and I didn't like the second coat of polish he added to the base (making it too pink), I wanted nude, and he basically had a cow. I've been pushed around a LOT by nail techs so I know if I'm spending $200, I should speak up. Of course, my nails were crooked and the nail bed at the corner had been filed off so hard and so far that my nail quick was showing and bled by the time I was home. Painful. I stopped even speaking when I realized I hated everything he was doing. I thanked him 4 TIMES and he didn't even look up (I even yelled it so he could hear me, because I felt so awful, and humiliated myself even further). I cried in the car, all the way home. For $200 you humiliated me. I hadn't had my nails done since April, and this was my one splurge after saving up. Thanks a lot. I WISH I would've visited a different nail tech because what I wanted had actually been done the week before and exactly how I wanted it, (with a different color). So I know it's possible and they have incredible nails in the reviews. OH!! AND MY NAIL POPPED OFF LESS THAN A WEEK LATER. I refused to go back so I tore them all off instead. Construction was going on in the salon in various areas, so loud I couldn't even hear what my tech was saying to me while I was seated right in front of me. One week later, my $65 brand-new full set is already chipping, and I've been able to go a month with sets when I can't get to the salon in time with zero chipping or lifting. I recommend finding another salon if you're looking to come here for the first time. They obviously cut corners, and I even had to repeat myself about covering my whole nail with acrylic or filing off areas stuck to my skin or underneath it. The WORST EXPERIENCE AND ITS COST ME ALOT OF MONEY! Been staying down this way for a few weeks and needed my nails done and a pedicure. Told my mom I was going there and the first words out her mouth was "Don't see Jenny" .... I should've listened. To be fair she didn't introduce herself or tell me her name at first Within 2 days I had to go back and have a broken nail fixed. It literally broke at the tip in my sleep. Woke up gone. Got it fixed. 2 days later another one breaks. Jenny told me it's cause they're too thin. I understand you don't wanna take responsibility for shotty work or product. So they fix it but I have to pay for a whole fill in so now I've spend in under a week and a half. Money for a full set and a fill in. Now my nails are thick and horrible and not even the koffin shape I asked for. I had to ask her to clean up acrylic off my fingers and polish. The whole experience was awful. I'm going to include a pic of a full set I spent $80 on that lasted over a month with out one breaking and had to be soaked off. Hers broke in 2 days while I was asleep. My pedicure started to peel with in the first week and now I have this extra dry skin around the cuticle of my toe from her "digging out an ingrown nail". She's like no ones done this before. Not to the point where it looks like extra skin is now growing on my foot. I fell like they feel cause Charlotte Hall is far you have to accept sub par work and service from thei establishment. I get my nails done too much to even begin to believe my nails were just too thin etc. My $55 pedicure looks horrible. My bf is even taking shit about how my feet have never been crusty till now. I went to this other nail shop in Prince Frederick, MD long story short my nails came out busted the next morning I called around asking for the best nail techs in the PF area but all of them were booked. Went to yelp and Bella Nails wasn't too far from me and they had good reviews. Immediately I rushed over there since it was a Saturday. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. For a Saturday morning it wasn't packed as I thought it would be I asked for the best nail tech they had for acrylics. The lady which I think was the owner directed me to Jenny. I love Jenny! She did a 360 on my nails. Ever since then I've been going to her. She does really well with acrylics, shaping, and gives a great pedicure. Jenny does an amazing job, super sweet and attentive. Beware of rude shop owner or manager?! There is 1 nail tech who does really good nails and 1 nail tech who does pedicures good. I won't give this shop my money anymore because when I went last time the owner snatched the nail colors out of my hand without saying anything and it shocked me, I said excuse me! She said "oh you don't need that one" I advised her that it's rude to snatch things out of peoples hands. She didn't seem to get it. The guy who did my nails was rushing what I asked for and talked over me when I advised him he had did the wrong design. The nails were not coffin and the design looked tacky. The owner was very rude when I questioned about the price as it was not discussed before they added gel polish, and I was not happy. I still paid full price and tipped even though I was not happy. The salon I visited prior had messed my nails up pretty bad but Lindsey took her time removing the old nails being sure not to harm my natural nails as they are long too. She has been since I've been going there, but I had an issue with her recently where I decided I will no longer give them my hard earned money! I recently decided to let my natural nails grow and no longer do a powder dip. I have went to Bella since to get pedicures. The time I called to get a manicure, just manicure, NOT Gel, the lady completely changed her manner with me, when trying to make an appointment! She stated they do not take appts for manicures, which I found other places do as well. She did tell me Ha would be available around 11:15, so I showed up a few mins before that. She was standing in the front, smiling at me as I walked in. She isn't that nice usually, so I asked for Ha, she said Ha busy with a huge smile on her face! I have been here several times before. They do a good job on my pedicure, not overly friendly. That's ok, I just need my nails done. But today was a bad experience and I won't return. I had a 10am appt. Three ladies came in ahead of me, no appointment mind you because I overheard the conversation. All three sat down got waited on immediately. I was in the chair at 9:50 and left at 10:30 without my nails being done. I was patient thinking the lady next to me was going to do my nails. Nope she went to another person that came in after me. I asked who was doing my nails and said it would be just a moment. I asked why did I have to wait and what was the purpose of me making an appointment. Went here with 2 of my friends for a girls day. Had an appointment. Everything seemed to be going fine. Until my fingers started hurting due to the file going on my skin. it made them bleed. 4 of my fingers were bleeding around them and that has never happened to me before. It also happened to my friends. Not only that. But the full set we all got, was very rushed and thick. My fingers are sore due to acrylic being on my skin. I never got introduced to who was doing my manicure and pedicure, and neither did my friends. The shapes were not at all what we wanted. We all wanted long coffin nails, and that is not what we got. My friends pedicure had already started peeling off an hour after we had left. We had spent a ton of money to get these and also got gel which is supposed to last longer then normal polish! BUYER BEWARE!!! There is only 1 Tech who can really do nails! The rest are over charging you and using customers as "practice"! I went to the salon in Charlotte Hall, MD. Not only did my nails look a hot mess when I left, they are rude (they talk about each customer) while smiling in their face. They also wayyyyy over charge and then insist you pay all tips in cash only. It took over 2 hours for a fill?! The tech had no idea what ombré color was and had to keep asking others after she told me she did that style many, many times. She had to start and redo my nails 3 times and it still looked like crap. I just took what she did and left after 2 hours I was done and wanted to get out of there. This place is really great, nice and clean. So far I haven't pinned one esthetician to go to every time, I've been about 4 times and each time have had someone different, and they've each had their own way of doing things (similar to each other, but their own), but I've never left dissatisfied! They're really busy on Friday and Weekends. I try to go Tuesdays/Wednesday's because those seem to be the slower days. They have different pedicure packages, and they'll give you a menu to pick from to see prices and what's included. Color selection is overwhelming, but they have just about every color under the sun! The only downside is wait time on busy days. So if you can avoid busy days, you'll probably do fine! I'll keep going back for more services here! read more

This was my first and will be my last time coming to this nail salon. I came in and asked for dip nails and a pedicure. I picked out a light purple color for my toes and asked the technician if she could match the color in regular polish for my toes and she said yes. The color she picked out was almost identical to the one picked out from their book of dip nails options. As she was doing my pedicure, they placed two other customers on both sides of me. The pedicure chairs are so close together that the arm trays between the two chairs overlap, and they slammed down a tray right on top of my purse. I'm not sure what the purpose of having plexiglass between the technician and customer is when I was practically bumping elbows with the people next to me. (Side note, I picked out a pedicure with callus treatment, and my feet were still feeling rough when I got home that evening). When we finished the pedicure and the technician was doing my manicure, I noticed the color on my nails looked different from what I picked out, but thought maybe after adding a couple of layers it would darken up to what it was supposed to be. It didn't, it was a very pale pink, and though it was a pretty color, it wasn't what I had asked for. I decided not to say anything and just deal with it, but I did speak up and tell the technician that one of my nails was significantly shorter than the rest. They were already shorter than I normally get them, but one nail was completely cut down and looked out of place. She asked if she could just make the rest that short and I told her I really didn't want them any shorter. She then asked if I could just leave the one nail short then so she didn't have to redo it. I told her that I really did not want to have one nail much shorter than the rest, and she begrudgingly fixed it. While waiting for the polish to soak off, she began working on another customer's manicure next to me, using the same tools she used on me without disinfecting any of them. I didn't see ANY disinfecting between customers on seats either. When I went to pay and they told me my total, it was much higher than I anticipated. I knew the price of the pedicure I received was $40, so I asked how much the dip nails cost. There was a $20 difference in the price when I added up the two, and when I inquired about it, the man said it was because I got gel polish on my toes. I told him I asked for regular polish, and he said my technician said I asked for gel. I just paid the full amount and still tipped well, but I will not be returning to this salon ever again. I'm fine with paying extra for a quality product, but I was very disappointed that I didn't even receive what I asked for, the quality and service were subpar, and then I was charged for something I didn't want. read more

Went here today. Very, very disappointed in the service. Arrived and checked in, only to have two other customers who arrived after me (who did not have appointments either), be taken before me. My feet sat in a pedicure bowl, in hot water for 25 minutes, waiting to be acknowledged and serviced...... Nothing. The customers that arrived after me were almost finished. I requested they let the water out so I could take my business elsewhere, and I did. Customers have options. Do not go here for SNS. I had to stop coming here because the technicians just couldn't get it right. My nails would have bumps in them and they cracked after two days. That happened twice in a row.
