Had the meat lover pizza it was out of this world. You get great service people are very friendly there.

Their food and prices are good. Service has always been good. I recently went there and they were super busy. An obviously autistic or special needs individual was trying his best to order food and had many questions. The absolute sweetheart of an employee was extremely patient and respectful with this individual. She was also able to politely take care of other customers simultaneously. The seating area is a typical pizza place with standing seating/tables - but it's clean and authentic. read more

Was looking for a quiet place, Italian food, and room to relax and chat with our friends. Bella filled the bill. The food was delicious. All four people in our party were content with their meals. One simple detail seems either overlooked or ignored. we all wanted water with lemon, and three of us asked for iced tea with lemon. we ended up with one tea, and one water. No lemon. "We never have lemons in the house," said the server. An emenity that should not be overlooked. Over all, I'd recommend Bella to friends. I'd tell them about the lemon situation. read more

Bella Pizza is great! Another reviewer calls it New York style, but I'd say it's American style--not thin crust or deep dish, but somewhere in between. It's my favorite pizza in the area. The ingredients are higher quality than those of other pizza places in the area. Stepping into the restaurant is also like a time machine into the small town pizzerias of my youth. They even have the wood paneling, the red gingham tablecloths, and those old 80s plastic cups. A real experience! read more

We love everything about this place. Frim the mom n pop atmosphere to the the menu, they know their customers here. And that pizza..yummy! I'm not good at describing flavors but sweet? Still has tang though. Crust is crispy but doughy with a rich, bready flavor. Probably our favorite local crust! And when you crave a Bella sauce pizza, nothing else will do! Bella Pizza is a quaint little "old school" pizza/Italian place on Chenango St. in Hillcrest. Their pizza is standard "New York" style that is so common in the region, but their version is quite good. Their crust is a bit less floury than most of the NY style pizza you'll find, which is a positive in my opinion. The sauce is their own homemade sauce, and is a nice change of pace from the ultra-sweet tomato sauces in most NY pizza. I haven't had any of their pasta (although I intend to check out their lasagna), but their buffalo wings are pretty solid. What's really cool about Bella's is the decor/ambiance: it seems that nothing has changed there for the past 25 years or so. Wood paneled walls, red and white checked curtains, a set of old Michelob lights and clock, and a TV on in the corner. Plus they have great deals on beer and wine. Domestic bottles are $2, you can get a pitcher of Labatt's or Coors Light for $7, or they have half carafes of wine for $8. There's nothing fancy at all here, but for a cheap night of pizza/wings/beer or pasta and wine, Bella's is worth the trip out to Hillcrest. read more

Bella Pizza has always been my go to place for delicious pizza and hot wings. The crust is crisp and the sauce is delicious. Holly, who runs the dining room, is terrific and soon will treat you like a regular. The pasta and meatballs are also quite good. I was a little disappointed that the wings are now sold in groups of 10 instead of a dozen, but they are still some of the best in town. If you are near Hillcrest, it is time to check it out! read more

I love this place. Pizza, subs are great. Other Italian dishes are tasty and generous. I keep coming back, at least once a month.

September 3rd, 2014 5:24 P.M. I don't know what to say-- Call me spoiled, but I know good New York pizza, and there is nothing special about their pizza. The dough is too thick, and the pizza is very "Eh," very "upstate" and generic. Here's my subjective scale: One Star: Don't touch it with a ten foot pole. Two Stars: Terrible food. Would not go back. Three Stars: It's okay. Not bad. Just okay. Four Stars: This is great food! Five Stars: Best of breed! This place isn't "real" New York pizza, I'm sorry. Making the pizza round and baking it just doesn't qualify. Being the only (?) pizza place in Hillcrest also doesn't qualify. So, if you're hungry, and want dough and cheese and sauce, you can get dough and cheese and sauce here. If those three ingredients, dough and cheese and sauce, are sufficient conditions for "New York pizza" in your book, have at it; enjoy. But no, this isn't New York Pizza in anything but name, and it isn't particularly great pizza either. read more

First I must admit that I grew up on there Pizza and wings. I have been a customer since shortly after they opened in the 80's. Sadly life took me across country to the Pacific Northwest about 15 years ago and I only get home for visits every few years. The first meal I have once I am there has to be a Bella Pizza. It is by far the best pizza I have ever had. It is so good in fact I have to say I would travel over 3000 miles for a slice! All kidding aside if you are thinking of giving them a try I will tell you this you will be in for the best pizza money can buy. They have maintained the quality for there food for as many years as they have been in business! read more

I love their pizza but the old lady who takes the orders ALWAYS screws up the order. ALL the time. The pizza is always good but it's hard to tell if you're going to get what you ordered, or what the lady thinks she may have heard. Good rewards program in place as well. ONLY thing keeping this place from being the best pizza place in town is the consistency of what you order, and that unfortunately falls on the watch of one person - the person answering the phone that seems like she may be the owners mother or something, she's old enough to be retired. read more

pretty good pizza place that often gets overlooked by the people i know who used to live in the CV school district. their round pizza is very good, but unfortunately if you get a slice and eat it there your only option for a topping is pepperoni. i haven't been there in a while but i remember their wings being pretty good but i was not a fan of their sheet pizza. i had a really good canoli there too before. they also serve beer, which i don't see at a lot of pizzerias. the service was good from what i remember, and the decor is a little tacky but i feel it works well for a pizza place. read more

I used to LOVE Bella Pizza, and in fact have been going there for over a decade. However, within the past year the quality of the service has seriously deteriorated with the new waitress that they hired. She is rude and completely incompetent. She once served us salads with NO silverware and it took us ten minutes to get her attention to bring us silverware. When I went to pick up two slices of pizza today she practically threw the pizzas at me as if she was trying to get rid of me asap even though there wasn't another customer anywhere in the restaurant. I fully intend to call up the owner and suggest he find a new waitress or he might just lose me, my friends, and my family as customers. read more
