Their wings are good from here too. The last time I was home I ordered the buffalo shrimp basket for the first time. Been going here for years and have always been a big fan of the pizza. They don't hold back on the specialty pizzas, each one packed to the rafters. The big game changer is their addition of vegan cheese which needs to be commended on so many levels. My vegan girlfriend moved to the area in May and one of the great difficulties was knowing that it would be near impossible to get a good vegan pizza in the area. Sure you can order without cheese but who the heck actually wants a pizza without cheese? The Daiya cheese they use paired with their already good crust and sauce is a recipe for success. We have been fans of Rossi's for a long time, ordering almost weekly with no complaints. However, over the last couple of months things have gone seriously downhill. Out of our last four orders, three have been completely wrong. On one occasion, we ordered a cheeseburger sub with all the fixins, and literally got just a burger on bread. I've been eating here for a few months now, and I think it's one of the better pizzarias in the Binghamton area. I usually order online, but the system was down tonight, no big deal, so I just called on the phone. The girl who answered the phone was extremley pleasant to speak with. I recently stayed in Binghamton one night during a road trip and was looking for some good vegan eats. I had heard rumours on happycow.net that Rossi's offered vegan cheese for their pizza. However, their website didn't seem to list any, and it wasn't an option with their online ordering. I almost gave up there, but was really feeling the need for pizza. I called the Johnson City location and they confirmed they had a vegan mozzarella, and I ended up ordering a green pepper/mushroom/vegan cheese pizza. Was not disappointed! Fluffy crust, super tasty and decently priced. They said it would be ready for pickup in 20 minutes, and it was (noted when I got there that there was a Daiya/vegan cheese sign on the front door). Today a fairly serious ice storm hit Binghamton. My workplace decided to keep its employees safe inside and ordered lunch for everyone - five sheet pizzas from Rossi's (plain, garlic, mushroom, pepperoni, and one crazy good kind - see below). It was all solid pizza, but there was a standout. Something I had never heard of before. Pizza with chicken, bacon, and ranch dressing. OMG SO GOOD! I've been coming to Rossi's for years now due to its proximity to my work, and it is probably my favorite pizza in town when fresh (particularly the buffalo chicken). The medium buffalo wing sauce tastes great and there is plenty of chicken in every bite. My problem with this restaurant is how they handle their lunchtime by-the-slice business. They don't seem to understand that people come there around lunchtime EVERY day because they're looking for something to eat for lunch. I can't tell you how many times I've walked in around 11:50-12:00 and the selection is terrible. There have been times when there are more people in line than there are slices available, and nothing's coming out of the oven for another 5-10 minutes. The pizza that is available looks like leather as it's been drying under the heat lamps (when they're on) for what looks like hours. I'm willing to forgive these instances every now and then, but when it happens multiple times over the course of 3-4 visits, I start to get frustrated and usually don't come back for a few weeks. I don't know how they can't ANTICIPATE a lunch crowd when it happens every day! Americans have been eating lunch at midday for decades! So have some pizza available for crying out loud! It was even worse when the cheapskate owner tried getting rid of carry-out boxes and using paper bags with the pizza slid in sideways and the bag completely open! Finally enough people complained that he was forced to go back to the boxes. It's so disappointing that they haven't figured out how to cater to the lunchtime carry-out crowd after all this time. We used to really enjoy Rossi's. Unfortunately over the last year, we had many problems with our orders and service, not to mention the prices have increased dramatically. I know prices are up everywhere, but our total is higher each time we order the same items. Lately our orders have been wrong or undercooked. i've always been told to stay away from rossis because it was gross. i went once about a year and a half ago for lunch, i got a few slices and then by the time i got over to wegmans i had to use the bathroom. i guess you could say rossi's gave me pizza-rhea. so finally i decided to give them a few more shots over the last few weeks. i ordered a pizza and wings one night. i got a half sheet pizza that was half white chicken spiedie and half red sauce with pepperoni. The pizza was just like nirchis except the crust was a little different, it was a little bit more dense. the sauce and cheese was good, as was the pepperoni. i liked the spiedies here better than nirchis because rossis actually still cubes their chicken instead of just using shredded chicken like nirchis does. the wings that i got with the pizza were undercooked though. they were a little rubbery and the skin needed to be crisp, but the medium sauce was good, it had a nice vinegar kick to it and the bleu cheese they served with it was really good. i would be down to order wings again, i will just have to make sure to ask for them extra crisp. i also went in and got some slices and knots. the knots had a good flavor but they were kinda stale. the buffalo chicken slice i had too was also pretty stale. a heat lamp really isn't the way to serve pizza, toss it back into the oven to heat it up! the round slice i got had a good flavor, but the crust was super thin, it kinda reminded me of pizza i've gotten from gas stations before. i tried a ham sub too. i saw that they bake their own sub rolls, and while the bread was good, it didn't taste like their other dough, so i feel like they might get it in frozen and then bake it themselves. the sub had a lot of meat on it, almost too much, but the sub did have a pretty good flavor. when it comes down to it, i think i would rather have nirchis, but i don't think this place is as bad as people say. it's ok food, not great, i probably won't be craving it anytime soon. read more

I used to work for this organization and let me tell you what, it is not good. Not going to disclose which of the three restaurants I worked at, but I'm sure their all the same. Food service protocols are ignored left and right. No latex gloves around food, people not covering their faces when sneezing or coughing, and once I witnessed someone drop a few chicken wings on the floor, pick them up, and place them back into the Styrofoam container for which they were meant for a customer to eat. Also, there are no waiters or waitresses to speak of so customers have to go to the counter, order, sit back down, collect their order, and if the order is eat in, the customers have to collect napkins and silverware themselves, its not preset like other pizzerias. In addition, I was also alerted to the fact that at the newly opened Owego Rossi's, there have already been 2 car accidents in 3 weeks while taking deliveries. They were still ordered to deliver by the managers despite the wintry conditions. So far, neither of these gentlemen have received any compensation for having to undergo these tragedies although they were on the clock. This local franchise is horrible. I'm glad I quit. read more
