I ordered a garden salad online from the Water Street store. It was my first time visiting this location but I have come to know NIRCHI'S as a solid choice. The order was bagged and ready when I got there but I'm still questioning how anyone allowed this in the bag or out the door. I got home to find my $10 got me half of a container of brown lettuce, four half-wilted grape tomatoes and three slices of paper thin cucumber. To make matters worse, I added the packet of Ken's Ranch Dressing to it only to find that it was a disgusting consistency, somewhere between old and spoiled. My expectations are not super high for garden salads but c'mon NIRCHI'S put a little effort into it. read more

Ugh another pizza review. Stopped here for lunch. It was right at lunch time and they had tons of flavors of pizza available. They do square pizza in Binghamton and I like it. I tried 2 flavors. Traditional cheese( they have one with American cheese huh?) and a taco square. The taco square was ok. It was worth trying but I probably won't get again. The traditional was really good. Good sauce and good cheese. A bit on the greasy side but it didn't ruin it. Those of you who know this area also know they love there spiedies. They have a spiedie square but I was too full to try. Talk about pizza done the right way. They only do deep dish so for me that's a great foundation for holy matrimony. The crust is extra crunchy the way I like it and the way the cheese and home made sauce marry with one another truly makes it a divine union. You can just taste the difference with each bite. I got a slice of sausage and a slice of honey mustard chicken pizza. I didn't even know such a thing existed but I'm glad I stumbled upon it. I would have like to see anyone try to divorce my taste buds from this pizza. For a city with many lowlights this is one spectacle you don't want to miss out on. We had pizza delivered to our hotel room in Vestal from this pizzeria. The "sheets", cut into substantial squares, are substantial. The food is well-prepared and tastes good, but the style is a somewhat different from my preferences. The slices are deep and covered with sauce. Pick up a piece and it feels like maybe you are picking up a juicy piece of quiche, more than a piece of pizza. I am not really being critical of the quality. I'm just saying that this is different. If you are spending a snowy night in the BInghamton/Vestal area, and you don't want to go out, then by all means consider Nitchi's. Just make sure you are hungry. The atmosphere of this place has recently renovated because of the Ellis Bros fire that took place and wow I was in a huge shock. As I entered the atmosphere of nirchis increased ten fold and was very classy. I then ordered pizza and was delighted by the taste. Crispy crust yet very good distribution of sauce and cheese which meant for a chewy saucy crispy slice. Aside from the taste I did find hair in the pizza YIKES. We had the sheet pizzas from Nirchi's during our camping trip at Chenango State Park. I would actually say it was the best sheet pizza I have had. Not too doughy, not too saucy and cooked perfectly. The sauce leans more towards sweet than acidic. read more

Home of the Sheet-za. One thing I like finding out by accident when I visit towns are the local delicacies. Yes, I know it's pizza, but the culture around the whole "sheet-za" thing was apparent at several parties we attended in Binghamton. This pizza is great. It's not the greatest pizza I've ever had, but it's original, the toppings are plentiful, sauce and crust is great for what it is. I would eat here regularly if I ordered pizza in Binghamton. Note: If you were looking for traditional "New York Style Pizza", this is not it. We got the pizza to go. We were feeding kids while we attended a wedding. They have a "by the slice" option, and I noticed they were in trays. When I was asked if I wanted a half-sheet or whole-sheet, I opted for "whole-sheet". I was surprised when it was nearly $30, but whatever, vacation. We decided to walk around instead of stand and wait for our pizza. We found a Dollar General around the corner and bought some flimsy aluminum foil for $1, figuring we could wrap the pizza and store leftovers in the hotel fridge. Good thing. The "whole-sheet" was as big as 2 of the trays in the by-the-slice rack. We were able to snack on this pizza over the next two days, so I'm not complaining. read more

This is the best damn pizzeria in Binghamton, hands down. Last night me and my girl ordered a 15 slice Pepperoni, onion, and sausage with 20 medium spicy wings. The pizza was cooked thoroughly and the wings were seasoned exceptionally well. The wings actually were the star of the show. They had this sauce on them that was unbelievably satisfying. This locally started Pizza chain is fantastic. Having moved away from there over many yrs ago I still dream about it. Their sauce is the best sauce I've ever had on Pizza and the cheese mix they use has a very unique and fantastic taste. The pizza isn't exactly thin, NY style but it's also not thick like Chicago style. Pizzas come in squares, order the Chicken Spiedie pizza and the regular plain pizza. Nice little place tucked away on a side road. Decent prices for pizza deals. A definite favorite from initial walk-in that it's a place for the local university kids to grab food from. Food was delicious! Great variety of pizza and wing flavors. Garlic knots are HUGE! About the size of a billiard ball, especially considering where I normally get knots from they are lucky to be the size of a golf ball...over all a nice spot for a slice or wings, close to other restaurants and a couple blocks away from the local arena.
