Located in a strip mall off of us19 in Palm harbor is this little pizza parlor. Inside resembles those of NY minus the stand and go tables, including the pizza by the slice options which I appreciate. 2 large slices and a can soda for $7.99 isn't bad. The inside is basic and meant to be a pizza parlor vibe. It was awkwardly quiet though, being brand new I'm sure they are working on piping in some fun Italian music. Now comes the hard part. The pizza. As somebody who has spent a lot of time eating pizza in Manhattan, this may look like NYC pizza but it doesn't taste like it. The pizza was very bland and odd. Not very good at all. Unfortunately it ranks very low in pizza taste profile and probably top 10 worst pizza I've had. The quality is similar to papa John's and the taste reminds me of cafeteria pizza. To be fair in my assessment I tried both the cheese and pepperoni. I had high expectations but am left throwing half of it away because it's just not very good. Delicioso! We are temporarily living in Tampa while receiving medical treatment. My husband hasn't been craving anything, but loves pizza. I researched restaurant reviews and health inspections and found Bella Roma. We are so glad we found them! I called to place our takeout order and the person who answered was so incredibly helpful and patient. My husband wanted a pepperoni pizza (out of this world good) and I wanted to taste a Grandma's Pizza since I had it in NY and loved it. I thought I'd have to order the whole pie, but they happened to have slices. Even though I ordered the whole pie, she offered the slices and that was perfect for us. It tasted exactly like the one from NY. As we were looking at the menu prior to ordering, my husband suddenly had an appetite! In addition to the pizza mentioned above, we got a slice of Sicilian, a side of meatballs, bruschetta, a side Caesar salad, and bucatini pasta with Alfredo sauce. The meatballs and the pasta each came with two garlic knots. We had a little party in the car and everything was amazingly delicious. When I went in to pick up, I noticed how clean everything looked. As soon as I took my first bite of meatball, I told my husband they tasted exactly like my nona's! Perfection! The bruschetta was overflowing with the most delicious combination of toppings, yet the bread was still crisp. It's the best bruschetta I've ever had in my life. The Parmesan on the Caesar salad was so generous. I substituted ranch dressing and it was fabulous. Oh, and those croutons!!! The Alfredo sauce was plentiful and simply amazing. Everything was packed with care; the cold items were in one bag and the hot were in another. We really appreciated that thoughtful touch! I'm so thankful for the delicious pizza, the fabulous food, and the sweet employee. My husband even said that when we get to go back home after treatment, it would be fun to drive the two hours back to this restaurant for more of their delicious food. Pizza was excellent. But it's not your typical 15 minutes and it's done. This is the real thing, the dough is risen, then make the Pie and let it rise again. Real ingredients are used, (they make manufactured cheese, sausage and pepperoni some places and you can buy it in 5 gallon buckets). The people are also very nice. My wife and I decided to eat out tonight, my dad recommended them. We ordered: 20 wings, a Philly Cheesesteak, and two 18" pizzas one was the kickin chicken and bacon, the other the Don (basically a meatlovers) and i have to say, this has to be the best pizzas i have ever had the pleasure of consuming. The wings are very meaty, and big, though pricey, they are worth every single penny, i honestly think these could contest some places that specialize in wings. The Philly Cheesesteak was incredible, my wife was born in Pennsylvania so i can confidently say she knows a good philly cheesesteak and she had a bite, she said "now thats a cheesesteak!" My daughter and I had a nice experience at Bella Roma. My family is from NY so our standards for NY style pizza are pretty high and we were not disappointed. You can order pizza by the slice or a custom pie. We ordered a few slices of the sausage and veggie. They were delicious. I ate every bite of the crust, it was so good. The sauces are made in house, the veggies and toppings are cut fresh daily. I was told the chef has 30 years experience, and it shows. I ordered the calamari and wings to start. The calamari was perfectly seasoned and lightly battered. The calamari was fresh, not chewy (I'm somewhat of an octopus/calamari connoisseur) so my standards are high, and again I was impressed with the quality. Definitely order the calamari! The wings were cooked perfectly and the Thai chili sauce was amazing. We had the cheesecake for dessert which was also delicious. The place is very clean having been newly remodeled. You can smell fresh paint and fresh pizza. It's a family friendly environment with good energy and light music playing. We highly recommend Bella Roma and we will definitely be back! read more

There's a new pizza shop in Lutz and these people are legit from New York! We ordered the calamari fried light best. I've had in a long time with a side of marinara sauce. We got a chicken cutlet, Parm, hero, crisp cutlets, good bread, plenty of sauce. The fresh garlic knots we watch them take them out of the oven and then they came onto my plate. Pizza my husband ordered had everything on it sausage mushrooms, black olives, peppers, meatballs . we had a small side plate of just meatballs and sausage. It was delicious. The sauce is freshly homemade not bitter at all. Free refills on fountain drinks. we arrived early about 6 o'clock before the big dinner rush so we were able to snag a table out of the sun. Plenty of people dining in plenty of people to take away. Met the owners. They are the nicest people that deserve our business and since we have a good pizza shop here in Lutz let's all get out there. read more

Fantastic flavor. NY Italian in of all places, lutz! Potions are huge. Prices are better than fair. Service is great. This is classic Italian done to perfection. The family had Pizza. My wife saw a post announcing the opening of this new Italian eatery nearby. We'd been let down with most of the local pizza and figured we'd give Bella Roma a chance - one shot. It was amazing! First off, the service was good. The pizza took only about ten minutes to make and while the chef prepared it I spoke with the folks at the counter. They informed me that their components were homemade and fresh, which was absolutely true. The sauce had no bitterness, the cheese was creamy, the dough was as it should be - like a good bread or one of those big pretzels I used to buy from sidewalk vendors. The pie was perfect. We'd consider eating in sometime, as well, to sample one or two of their dishes. The place was neat and clean and would provide a comfortable setting for a dinner out. If you prefer a real New York style pizza with a crust worthy of eating, I highly recommend Bella Roma. Two thumbs up! read more

I love to see great food come to the Lutz area and the food here was fantastic and so was the service. Excellent pizza and salad was fresh and well done. I'll definitely be carrying out from here for quick dinner nights. The place was also very clean, bright, and in a New York style decor. The only ambiance ding I would give, is to consider the music thats playing. There's one style music coming from the kitchen and that's competing with the 1980's skating rink music playing in the dining area, making me feel anxious. We were so hopeful for Bella, Roma to open and couldn't wait to try it, but we were so disappointed. The crust was tasteless and rubbery.. The vegetables were not fresh cut from a jar or can and were so scant that they could not be placed evenly over the pizza so it was mainly a cheese pizza with a few small gobs of soggy vegetables upon ordering we requested a substitute from feta cheese the mozzarella there was an undisclosed up charge of $3.50 for what turned out to be not mozzarella but some white yellow tasteless maybe cheddar The one good thing was the tomato sauce it tasted like tomatoes not very salty or sweet all in all too similar to a premade frozen pizza for $26.34 and then of course the stress of added adding dreaded tip for a take away we will not be returning another one bites the dust read more
