I don't know what happened. Loved this place tonight we placed an order for antipasto salad and pizza. Never have we had artichoke and zucchini along with smothered in balsamic vinegar. Since I hail from the state of New Jersey, I was quite excited to find this small pizzeria out on route 41. I stopped in on a Sunday night about an hour before they closed and they had some slices available at the counter. Service was very fast, friendly and efficient. Prices are beyond fair. As for the pizza, I have to give it an eight out of 10. Crust has a wonderful flavor and is exactly like the Neapolitan pie. I grew up with in New Jersey. Cheese is good -- more than likely Grande. Slices are served, piping hot and with a smile. The sauce itself is very good slightly more salty than sweet. Considering that it was less than $10 for two slices and a bottle of water, I was happy considering the prices these days! It's a quiet small little place. WOW... So we decided to give the pizza pie a go and we are so glad we did. The food was absolutely perfect. We ordered the large cheese pizza and it was delicious. We ate until we couldn't move, the pizza sauce was amazing and the pizza had the perfect amount of cheese. While I waited for my pizza the owner or manager actually took the time to ask me a couple questions and was looking for feedback. Owner Rosario and regular cashier (I must ask her name) are very friendly. My order was ready quickly and served with a smile. The place is clean. It was slow outside peak dinner hour, during dinner the joint and parking lot are packed. Be sure to order early on a Friday night. Took advantage of their $8 daily pasta special, which included choice of house or Caesar salad, choice of pasta entrée and sauce, and a roll. How could you beat that for eight dollars?! Ordered fettuccine alfredo and Caesar salad. Added a meatball to my order. Everything was still hot when I arrived home. Plated it up and enjoyed a homemade-tasting Italian dinner. Yum! I love pizza pie! I am a big lover of New York and New Jersey pizza and Pizza Pie never disappoints. Such a good place for pizza. The only thing that is a bit disappointing about this place is that the restaurant is very small and very hot inside. I never eat at the location and I always just pick up pizza but to be honest I'm not sure if you can eat inside. There are 2 very small tables that seat 2 people and I never see people eating there just waiting for their pizza pick up to be ready. Overall though, I recommend Pizza Pie for those seeking good New York/ New Jersey Pizza. read more

We were looking for good pizza after we moved here from the Chicago area. Deep dish pizza is for the tourist. Chicagoans eat thin crust cut into squares. Anyway, we ordered via phone a large sausage, 1/2 mushroom and onions, 1/2 pepperoni. It was a short drive so we picked it up. It was ready and hot and the staff was friendly. never again! this is the second time that I have placed an order well in advance. When I arrive to pick up the pizza at the designated time my order hasn't even begun to be made. This time my husband picked up our order, when he arrived home (a 5 minute drive) the pizza was cold and very undercooked. I requested a crispy crust and what I received was the exact opposite. Pizza is full of flavor and freshly made. Service is A+. But for those who must have gluten-free pizza- the cauliflower pizza is not gluten free. Was in the area and a customer told me about this new pizza place that opened. Went in and saw "Jersey style" and thought oh boy here's another one. But wow the pizza is really good and definitely Jersey/New York style. I got a white pizza that had spinach, diced tomatoes and garlic on it and a regular cheese slice and both were good, gonna come back here and try one of their platters. Finally!!! I was able to get to the Pizza Pie. First went there on Wednesday for lunch. Ordered a large pepperoni pizza. Was not sure what to expect, but I was more than happy. Good taste, nice crust, brought me back to Brooklyn. I asked Rosario if he made fried calzones. He said he did, so I returned there today, Friday, to try that out. Again, not disappointed! Happy to have found a new pizza place. A little further than I'd normally drive for a pizza, but in my opinion, worth the trip. Thanks Rosario!
