When I asked if he could help me understand why he'd triple his price for such a small repair, he said, "Maybe we used the laser." When I asked what that meant and if that would be the case if the same thing were to happen again, he said, "Cash or card?" I felt dismissed and taken advantage of. David proceeded to tell me "this isn't a sneaker store" and that I can't get the option I wanted, I had to be happy with whatever they had available. When I showed him verification of the price of the ring I wanted at a reputable jeweler downtown, he berated me that the other store was too cheap and not as high quality as them. Not exactly the service and demeanor you'd like to receive when spending a large sum of money. On the contrary, the jeweler downtown gave me a complimentary dinner at Soto and happy hour at Nada for my business - along with a premium ring. Genesis Diamonds has lost my business forever and I have referred many of my friends to the downtown jeweler who have been really happy with them!
