I've been a long time patient for Bella Smiles for at least 8 years now. I decided Mid 2022 to get Invisalign through them. My total for that was roughly $3800. I did my first 19 trays that ended in September I believe. At that time my family and I decided after 13 years in Vegas it was time to move back to the mid west. I told Bella Smiles and they ordered more trays because my corrections for my teeth were not even close to being straight yet. After I moved they had my new tray shipped to my new residence. After going to a general dentist and a Orthodontist they both told me the new bottom trays I received did not fit. After several times talking to Bella's smiles about this they decided since I paid the full amount there was nothing they can do for me. Basically leaving me high and dry mid treatment. I wouldn't recommend this place other than cleanings. read more

This was bby far the absolute WORST dental experience in all of my life. Bar none. Not only was I conned into spending much more than I got service for, but also my entire mouth burnt, lip burnt, and gums burnt during a whitening. A service that costs literally hundreds of dollars that did not yield the results they promised; but injured me and they pretended it was "not that bad" so they wouldn't have to rectify their new employees mistake. She made it clear she never performed this whitening procedure before. She not only left us in the room too long, causing burning; but she also had me waiting almost 2 hours before even beginning. i will attach photos to this review. I was treated like i was not welcomed the entire time I did business with them which was about 7-8 visits since they had my money and I had to return for multiple appointments. I got a deep cleaning that did not even feel or look like anything was done that costs me near $1,000 I was going to chop this up as their bad karma for taking full advantage of me after spending THOUSANDS with them and let it go, until the fillings they did have failed and it hasn't even been a year! They charge about $100 more than other dentists per filling, AND IT DIDN'T EVEN LAST A YEAR. I had to fight them tooth and nail about a "flipper" the dental assistant convinced me was needed to wear until my implant. And they MADE IT TOO BIG. Twice they had to remake the flipper until I got so frustrated, I asked to just return my money and it took almost 6 months for them to do that and the only reason why was due to me moving out of the area. If you're BLACK, do not go here. You will feel the tension and it is almost as intense as having a child in the waiting room. I felt like i was a burden who was begging the entire time I was spending literal thousands with these people. I left holding back tears on more than one visit. I have been coming here since 2019, seeing Dr. Chawla initially, then Dr. Chow, and now I am back to seeing Dr. Chawla. I also previously got cleaning from Andy, and will be seeing a new hygienist next week. I have also pleasantly dealt with a lot of the supporting personnel there. My husband is also a patient here. Honestly, this is one of the best dental offices you can go to in Vegas. Everyone here is very pleasant, and the doctors/supporting personnel use great care in the dental services they perform for their patients. The entire office is impeccably clean. They're very busy, which is a good sign because it shows they're good. read more

I was charged over $1000 for a very minor procedure on one attachment. Perhaps the adjustment took less than 5 minutes and was performed by one of the technicians. Even worse, I do not have insurance and was assuming the cost would be $50 because I was charged that amount last time. Perhaps under new management or just ongoing bad mangement ?? read more

Do not waste your time. Cash patients beware. The office team is unprofessional and not timely. They are understaffed, only have 1 hygienist, just merged with another dental office to fulfill requests, new front office staff because the other employees were awful, and the new front office staff has no idea what they're doing. They're only trying to retain patients, because everyone is leaving due to frustration and irritation we're not getting the assistance or services we're requesting. They will hang up on you, they don't provide a scheduling call for your appointments in a timely manner or as requested, the office staff is unprofessional at all costs, poor follow through, not organized; I've never called a company and had them state, you're only the second person to request a refund so we don't know when you'll get your money back. Blatantly refusing to provide an eta or date or refund, due to "working with a financial company that deals with quote on quote, hundreds of other dental offices." Called at 10am pst, followed up twice throughout the day; 11:30am then following 4:45pm. Both times stating they don't know, then proceeded to state they'll call tomorrow to find out hence insinuating they never called in the first place and they don't have control over their finances, that they're management company does. Pure neglect and refusal to assist me. This is quite concerning, that an office doesn't have control over their own finances for the company. **Services were never rendered and refund is an option to me as the patient. And I know that day/time I waited to go to your office and paid to your office with 0 work done was a waste of time and I didn't make a big deal of it then due to your staff being deceitful of your pricing adjustment and that it had changed by several 100s of dollars for a teeth cleaning! I feel guilty leaving this post. I have been a loyal customer for 8 years and I really loved the dentists working here who started the company. I have referred many friends over the years also. But I'm a big believer in constructive feedback and after leaving my last 3 visits feeling uncomfortable and deflated I feel it's important I say something. Firstly - I can't speak highly enough of Alysia on the front desk - she's a breath of fresh air and very friendly and accommodating. My complaint is about the dental hygienists who have all made me feel like I'm just a walking teller machine. Today, my dental hygienist, Sylvia, was very kind and talkative but I found it inappropriate how much personal information and garbage she was talking to me about other people. I had never met her before and it seemed unprofessional. That aside, the reason why I was mostly upset is because she told me the following - I have some sort of gum and teeth disease, I had bone loss at the back of my mouth and might lose both molars, that I needed my wisdom teeth out (after I have been told by dentists all my life that I don't), that if I don't act upon it I could die because gum disease is linked to 57 fatal diseases including Alzheimer's and Heart Attack, AND that I can't kiss my baby because I could pass it on to him and risk his life too. I mean COME ON!!! That last one just pushed me over the edge, hence my review. If my teeth were that awful, the dentist would have come and seen me. I have always had very healthy teeth and always gotten raving results from my regular exams. To be told all this stuff by JUST a dental hygienist is just so inappropriate and had I have been a more worrying, anxious type, I would have gone home a nervous wreck. I luckily knew better. Regardless of all this, NO dental hygienist should think she has the authority to make such outrageous diagnosis's. That's for the dentist/doctor only. The two visits before this weren't all that much better. I wasn't told I could die... But I was pressured into buying additional services that I knew I did not need. It felt very unauthentic and sales pitchy. That's not how you should feel going to the dentist. I was a patient at Bella Smiles 2 1/2 years ago. When I first went in, I had no pain, but just told them I wanted to take care of any possible issues as it had been over a year since I had seen a dentist. Along with apparently having multiple cavities that needed to be filled, they insisted that 3 of my crowns, which at the time were 3 years old, needed to be replaced. They weren't giving me any issues at all but they were very insistent, that there were going to be future issues. Since they were less than 5 years old, my insurance wouldn't cover them. I spent 5k! on those 3 crowns which they assured me would save me endless problems in the future. They wanted to do the crowns first, so those were done immediately. Fast forward to 2 years later and one of the crowns cracked near the gum line, which caused enough of an infection that by the time I felt any pain, I had to have the entire tooth underneath removed and get an implant which was incredibly expensive. Fast forward to today, and another one of the crowns they replaced has also now cracked and I need another replacement crown at my expense. Keep in mind that on both the new crown issues I went to several different dentists/oral surgeons, so I had multiple opinions which all pointed to terrible work on those crowns. Also, right after Bella Smiles replaced the crowns I ended up switching dentists and the new dentist, as well as the one I switched to after that (after moving) never found any of the "multiple cavities" Bella Smiles said I needed filled. All in all, Bella Smiles shoddy work has cost me 12k!! On crowns that I am absolutely positive now, never actually needed to be replaced. It was just a cash grab. I would absolutely steer clear of this place, or at the very least get a 2nd opinion on anything they say you need done. read more

UPDATE: I was a patient at Bella Smiles for years, no problems. A few months ago I received a bill in the mail for charges owed. I always pay up front as I don't have dental insurance, so I was confused. I called to get more information, and after being on hold for a half hour they told me the charge was from 2020 - FOUR YEARS AGO. I stated my confusion as I always pay in full and their response was, "At the time, the lady gave you the wrong total and didn't charge you the full amount." (Four years ago? And even though it was her mistake I need to pay?) Anyways, I asked for info on what payment they used as it was not on my normal card. She explained they would have to get in contact with the billing department and go back through the files to find that information and then get back to me. That was four months ago. I've been receiving numerous texts and emails from the billing department stating I have an overdue payment, yet when I try to call and get information NO ONE ANSWERS. I got ahold of someone about a month in and she explained it would take awhile. At that point I asked if they could just waive the fee and she stated that would be up to the manager. Since then, zero response. No answering calls. Radio silence. Sad because I really liked this dentist office, but the lack of communication and inability to work with existing patients has made it so that I will never come back. read more

I received a call from the office saying they had spoken with the dentist and he would see me because he didn't want me to be in discomfort from the crown that came off which I appreciated. They scheduled to see me the next day, took some x-rays, and recemented the crown back on. I was a little surprised that they recemented it because I thought a crown had to be remade when it comes off. So I'll have to wait and see if this is going to last and hopefully is now sealed properly. They have a thorough level of new sanitation and health screening procedures since reopening during the pandemic and the staff was friendly which was a pleasant surprise since I left on bad terms with this dental office. I was expecting to walk into a battle yesterday so it's always nice to have things go smoothly. As I was leaving they offered to schedule my next cleaning. Had X-rays done at another dentist, new dentist explained the two fillings done by Bella Smiles are "extremely deep" and "very large" explaining why I have extreme sensitivity and will most likely result in a cap/root canal in the future. I would never recommend anyone to go here. After having the worst toothache, I called for an appointment and couldn't get in for 1 week. (Right then and there it should of shown me how they value their patients with no sense of urgency to help). After getting to my appointment in quite a bit of pain, I'm told to get a root canal but he wasn't able to perform it there. He would recommend me to another location. The location he recommended me to "up the road" (as he says) has moved locations over 10 years ago and is not even there. As I am leaving with no resolution and me doing the work on my own to find a new dentist, he is heading to lunch and asks if I got everything figured out. So let's break it down. You couldn't do the "root canal" or you were more worried about going to lunch? Long story short, I didn't even need a root canal! It was my wisdom teeth that needed to be removed. It shows they really care for the relationship between customer and care provider. The front desk is always so friendly and prompt and they offer extended hours that are not the typical 9-5, so it's great for scheduling with varied schedules. Don't go here!!!! Invisalign is $3000. But they'll tell you you only need a year worth and then you'll have one refinement which is another 4 months of trays than you'll pay an extra $500 for who knows how many trays. I think it's a rip off. My co-worker is going to another doctor that cost her $4000 and she has unlimited aligners until she is completely satisfied. When I asked Dr Chawla about my over bite, he said it was fine because your teeth lines up. Well again my co-workers' dentist is working with her on it. But in my case Dr Chawla refused! Bottom line...NOT WORTH IT AND IM NOT SATISFIED! To top all off....I just had cleaning with no dental insurance. Instead of the front desk girl (which was an Asian looking girl; not Alyssa) telling me I didn't have insurance while she was QUOTE "verifying by phone" (but she was busy on the phone with another customer) so she wasn't verifying, while they called me back to clean my teeth than told me I owed $138. Ummmm...I got irritated and said "why didn't you tell me that before I went back, I know my teeth aren't bothering me and I don't NEED cleaning, I could've waited until Sept 1 when my dental is in effect. STUPID MOVE! She said we try to verify. I said well I wasn't in a rush so I could've waited as long as I needed to. They ended up refunding my cleaning fee, which was a lot compared to other dentist! I ended up years later going to a REAL ORTHO who straightened my teeth of what the fine tuning wouldn't do at this "dentist"! BE AWARE....dentist can all perform Invisalign treatment! But they ARENT an ORTHO!!!! That's where i went wrong. At the end of my treatment the fine tuning couldn't be fixed! I ended up going to pay more on top of this treatment for braces! I DONT recommend Invisalign at all! So please go to an ortho! They may have become an ortho since this treatment! read more

After being a patient at Bella Smiles for nearly 3 years, I've decided to end ties and go to a different dentist. I hate moving around Drs only because I find it so annoying signing new patient paperwork and getting to know your new Dr. So I put up many excuses on why I should stay at Bella Smiles. In the end, it just wasn't worth it. These were my reasons on why I've decided to leave. 1. Dr. Chawla was my dentist every visit and he would never "get to to know" his patients like the hygienists / dental assistants do here. I've read a similar review on here that he only gives you two sentences and he'll bounce around to the next room, in between procedures. Literally just "hi, and bye see you next time". It would rub me the wrong way, especially since this dentist is pricy. 2. They are VERY money hungry here. I feel like I spent more than 5,000 so far. I got all my fillings from him, and I already feel like these filings are back to cavities. I feel like they are using cheap fillings (if that's a thing) for people to keep coming back. I eat clean so not sure why I have cavities coming back so soon.. another time, I was in a chair numbed up for a filling, dentist walks out, and brings the receptionist in to explain to me that Dr. Chawla said it's going to be a crown, so that will be $500 now. Like, I was numbed up already so I felt like I didn't have a choice... Also, why didn't Dr.Chawla explain this to me? He had to bring in the receptionist which I thought was weird? 3. They are getting TOO busy, that they never have time to for you. Hear me out. If you have a cavity on each side of your mouth (top, bottom, left, right) he will advise you to make an appointment for 2 fillings at a time per section. Do you know how many times I had to request time off because Dr. Chawla didn't have time for me. I've been to dentists in the past that will do all your cavities right then and there. There's been times where I had to reschedule 3 times cause the dentist will not be in. They jump around room to room, leave you hanging in your room for a while cause they have other patients and you're just laying there with a mouth full of spit or a bite guard. One time I scheduled a cleaning, and on the day OF the appointment, they told me I can't be seen for a cleaning until I do my yearly exam ( which was fine) but then she said I had to schedule a whole separate appt . So now that appt will be turned into a yearly check up and the next time will be a cleaning. Like they are so busy, they can't do things all at once. I'm over here making my bosses think I have a nasty ass mouth cause I'm requesting all these days for a dentist. When I first found this dentist 3 years ago, this place had 5 stars solid. That's why I gave them a shot since I'm really afraid of dentists. I phoned them and found out that they only charge $100. My dentist had charged me more than $250 some five years ago. I thought the $100 fee was very reasonable so I scheduled an appointment with them today. I found the staff very professional and friendly. The office was clean and modern.
