Neither us felt like cooking on a Friday night so we headed over to Bella Tuscany in Ocoee around 7 PM to grab dinner. The location was definitely not busy. We chose to sit at the bar area and we're greeted promptly by the bartender. Brought for the menu as well as a few new items that are going to be on the new menu. This location has new ownership and is in the process of being converted to a German restaurant My husband got the chicken Parmesan and said it was delicious. He did say that the sauce does have a little kick to it but he enjoyed it. He also said the chicken was cooked really well. I opted for the carne flatbread. Which had Italian sausage, pepperoni, meatball on it. It was really good and the flatbread was nice and light and not heavy. Overall, we did enjoy ourselves and enjoyed our meal. Definitely is a little bit more expensive than locations nearby as our meal with three adult beverages ran about $95. read more

Came for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Service was incredibly slow for only a few tables in the restaurant. The servers were nice but it took forever to get drinks and to order. We had to keep flagging down our server to get refills. The food came out lukewarm. I did enjoy the flavor of my smoked salmon frittata, especially with the addition of the avocado on top. I like that I was able to substitute the potatoes for fruit for no upcharge. I will say that the menu stated my frittata had cheese in it, but I could not taste any kind of cheese. I wish there was a bit more stuff in general inside. It was a bit overcooked as well. I enjoyed the mimosas. For only $17 you could get unlimited, which was definitely worth it. I also tasted the Kir Royales and found them to be tasty but a bit too sweet for me to keep ordering. When I arrived it was just the hostess and the bartender taking care of the entire place. He still took the time to explain all that I needed to have explained: food, drinks, dessert. I enjoyed the chicken Francese, broccoli, mashed potatoes. I had meatballs and some nice bread first. And a nice strawberry cheesecake for dessert. A rum Old Fashioned with my apps, a Chardonnay with the meal and an Amaretto with my cheesecake. They weren't really serving outside, but they had two tables in front of the restaurant, so I asked if I could sit out there. Done and a very pleasant meal! Oh by the way, food was excellent! It took us a bit to come here after it opened and we finally decided on a whim to try it out. We were greeted and seated very quickly by a friendly host. The complimentary bread was fluffy and tasty with the oil and vinegar. We decided to stick to the classics and started with bruschetta. It was tasty and enjoyable. I ordered peach iced tea and the presentation in the tea forte pitcher made me so happy The lasagna came out bubbly hot from the oven in a cute cast iron skillet. It is a large portion and we are so glad we opted to share. It left us with enough room to try the homemade tiramisu. The dessert was okay and we both agreed, we will definitely be back. read more

My wife and I saved Bella for our last meal before flying back home and it did not disappoint. The decor inside was very beautiful and our server Yusef was on point. We started with a couple delicious Sangrias and Mushroom Stuffed Crab Cakes, which were phenomenal. My wife had the Pan Seared Halibut with Hollandaise special and I had the Beef Short Ribs. First time in at this location since they have opened here. They really changed the interior and opened up the floor plan. It is a nice open and clean décor. We were greeted right away by our server who was super friendly and knowledgeable. She stopped by timely throughout our meal and was very attentive. We ordered some cocktails and non alcoholic drinks to start with and she discussed the menu for those that had not been there before. We ordered the bruschetta and carpaccio as starters for the table to share. They came out quickly and were well prepared. Everyone really enjoyed these two items. For meals, my oldest ordered her own carpaccio as well as the kid's buttered pasta. My youngest ordered the burrata as the kid's buttered pasta as well. Both liked their items and at them. I ordered the mushroom ravioli and I enjoyed the dish. The truffle cream sauce did add a lot of flavor to the dish. For dessert we all shared a tiramisu and an order of cannoli's. I've come here a few times now and this spot is a GEM!! Their dinner is delicious with great options (get the mushroom raviolis or the lasagna pls--you won't have leftovers) and their brunch is amongst the best in Orlando. If I didn't have to drive, I totally would've chugged their French toast martini. Their brunch menu is beautiful with something for everyone, but a touch that I love so much, is that the chef takes the time to present each plate so beautifully. The service is kind, attentive, and personable. I enjoy my meals even more with this ambiance because it's calm and even when slammed with happy customers, it's not loud. We loved our waiter and the bar tender and the music playlist. I do think the tables and decor is a bit plain but, maybe they can add more later, as they do not have an official sign yet. I really want to give this place 5 stars but I can't wait to try them again because I don't think they will disappoint. We ordered pizzas to go and they were very good. Our order got messed up and I don't even think it was their fault but they scrambled to make it right and went beyond my expectation. This goes a long way with me. Ate there last night for the first time. It was good, possibly very good. But not great. Italian restaurants are tough because there are so many, and to be great you have to set yourself apart. This place is just a good Italian restaurant, but there are better in our area. Maybe they'll develop a following and survive in this location. We had the crab stuffed toasted ravioli. It was good but not great. The veal saltimboca was also good, but I was charged more on the check than the menu price. And for dessert we ordered the chocolate mousse cake, but instead our waiter brought us some different chocolate mousse dessert. It was good so we didn't complain. My wife and I LOVE this restaurant. Every dish I've tried has been very good, excellent quality and portions. I am trying to make sure I try each of the entrees but the specials are so good I've been doing that lately. I recommend the Sea Bass and the Duck when they have them. When they don't, there are so many good things to try...I love all of their sauceless pizzas and their eggplant and mushroom ravioli dishes are delicious. My wife and Iare fans of the Summerport location. We were in the area of this restaurant celebrating a couple of milestones (quietly) and felt this would hit the spot. This newer location appeared welcoming and warmly lit. We arrived at about 6 on Friday. There were no other parties arriving; the front dining room was set for a large party. The hosts were a bit distracted at our welcome, breaking into side conversations while indicating they'd seats and then trailing off, but the guy who seated us was friendly enough. Dining room was one quarter full, and we were seated at a booth that was slightly big for two, but preferential to the two-tops in an aisle at center. This rear dining area is dominated by the bar and, owing to acoustics or a very loud bartender, is an unwelcome intrusion. For the most part, service was fine if a bit perfunctory. Our server was a bit overly scripted and inattentive, but we didn't have to wait long for water, bread or our drinks. My wife's order was fine, but my apathy and meatballs were served with capellini or angel hair, either are much thinner than spaghetti which I assumed an Italian restaurant would be expert at. When I mentioned it, the server dismissed me with "oh, that's what we use" and left. A few minutes later, the manager asked how our dinners were, and I mentioned it. She was appropriately apologetic and offered to replace my dish with linguine or rigatoni. I accepted the linguine suggestion and inwardly wondered why this Italian restaurant was unable to address a simple order of spaghetti, but was happy to have the linguine to look forward to. In the interim, which took far longer to address than or original order took to prepare, a different server approached us with additional bread and asked that we let him know if we needed anything. We never saw him within speaking distance again. After about 5 minutes or so, I was presented with a plate of fettuccini, sauce and meatballs. It was good, I have the leftovers in the fridge, but it is neither spaghetti or linguine. Our original server appeared seemingly expecting that the manager and bread deliverer had provided compensatory service in his absence. When he asked how it was, still no acknowledgement of the blunders and unmentionable, elusive, "spaghetti ", I said it is fine fettuccine, but is neither spaghetti or linguine. I was full after a few bites and my wife apologized for the restaurant (it was my final day of working at my employer for 35 years). So, when our server approached again after a few minutes, we declined dessert and asked for the check. After a few more minutes, he returned and presented the check. At this point, I wasn't surprised, but was vexed by the lack of apology or adjustment for this Italian restaurant's failure to serve me a proper $22 plate of spaghetti and meatballs. I anticipated seeing the manager who had 'assisted' at the door where I had first seen her, as we left, but the door was unattended. At 7pm. On a Friday. During the holidays. In retrospect, I think I know why. The wine was good and served in impressive glassware. read more

I am always on the lookout for a good authentic Italian restaurant. This location has always seemed to have a lot of turnover. Places come and in a year or so they go. I have to say service was excellent. Very friendly, polite and helpful. The food was ok. I really wanted to like it more and I have to say a few items on the menu were unfortunately not available. The price seemed to me that it was a bit on the higher end. Yes I understand this is not olive garden (yuk) and they use fresh ingredients but other places in town are a bit lower. The atmosphere was also excellent. They really seem to be trying to be someplace nice to go for dinner with the décor. I would be interested in trying their Brunch options but dinner was just a little underwhelming for me personally. Which makes me sad because as I said it was a beautiful place and they were so nice. ( that I think had a lot to do with me rating a 4 instead of a 3) Be aware they are more of a modern twist on Italian rather than traditional but still a great spot for a date night. read more

Bella Tuscany is a very upscale Italian restaurant. However, the service was more on par with what I would expect from a Chilis. We did not want a big formal dinner, but was excited to try some appetizers and flat bread. We started with our drink order. My wife asked for a tea, but they were out so did a flavored tea. Very odd to be out of black tea, but I like their presentation. It is brewed table side and very good presentation. We asked what cheeses were on the cheese platter to choose between different appetizer options. When the server brought our drinks we asked about the cheeses again. The server said oh no one came over, let me go check again. At this point I thought it was a simple miscommunication. We placed our orders of two salads, calamari, and a flat bread. The server asked if we wanted it placed at different levels. We said no when ever items are ready is fine. The Caesar salad is labeled as a wedge. I was curious how they did a wedge with romain lettuce. It is just served as leaves as to be expected in fine dining, but certainly not a wedge. The beat salad was very full of arugula. It could have used more beat. The goat cheese was very good and enjoyed the craisisn. The calamari had a good dusting on it, but it was very chewy. It seemed as though the octopus may have been old. We then asked about our flat bread and the server said I thought you were going to tell me when you wanted me to put it in. Basically it was just the most average service, and lies told for the mistakes that he made. Hopefully it was just for the day that his game was off. However, I think he may just be badly trained and is not ready for fine dining. We were surprised at the manager as well. He did one table greet and just stood at the wall the rest of the night. I was surprised since he was not busy that he was not checking on tables or even noticing potential training opportunities for his staff. Most likely we will not return. We were told the Windermere location is much better, but still not worthy of the fine dining price tag. I would encourage you to try that location over the Ocoee one. read more

I would consider this restaurant modern in design but traditional in menu. This place was packed to the brim with people so I knew the food was going to be amazing. Even though this is just a little hole in the wall you could tell that people came because they were doing something right. For appetizers we started out with crabcakes truffle risotto balls and calamari each one of these things were absolutely delicious. I believe the crabcakes were a special but the other two are on the regular menu. I highly recommend the truffle risotto balls. We had quite a few people out to dinner with us so I was able to take lots of different pictures. Everyone enjoyed their food very thoroughly. Not a single person was disappointed. I myself had little pasta purses filled with sweet pear and cheese in a white sauce with pancetta. This is one of my favorite pasta dishes to get out at Italian restaurants. I was not disappointed in The slightest. The first bite I took reminded me of every amazing time I've ever eaten this dish. Finally for dessert we shared the tiramisu. I'm not sure how we mustered up room but we did and I'm glad. It was light and fluffy and had the perfect moisture from the espresso. We all left full and happy. Excited Bella Tuscany has opened up in the previous Rusteak Ocoee location! There's a lot of potential here and we loved the food. I will say for a premium product like $20+ pastas and $30 entrees the interior could use some more love. A lot of chipped paint, wall areas that need patching, worn fixtures like the host stand. That said our pasta dishes were fantastic especially the Blue Cheese Fiocchi we will be back just for that! Our server Carly was very attentive and happy to offer suggestions. I tried one of the house cocktails a Raspberry Lemon Drop which was not good without the sugar rim, off-putting flavor. But my husband ordered an Aperol Spritz (not on menu) that was perfect! Our tiramisu which we were told is made in house was good, a little on the small side. Overall for 2 drinks, 2 pastas, and a dessert it was $92 before tip which is pretty high by Ocoee standards but we really hope they continue to improve and look forward to returning. read more

The restaurant was basically empty. We sat at the bar. There were two other couples at the bar. The manager was the bartender. He saud someone called in sick so he had to cover. Each time someone ordered a glass of wine, he left to go into the kitchen to pour it. Very strange. When you order a glass of wine for $15 I think the customer should be able to see what's being poured. When I asked why they did it that way, he indicated he was going into the wine room to pour it. Apparently it's because the bar staff over pours. But they do keep the liquor in the bar so the answer makes no sense. Ordered veal medallions that were on the menu as a special. I was asked how in wanted it prepared, I chose med, med rare. It came out well done with gristle running through the middle of each piece. The chef had to see it when it was cut. It was awful. The bartender offered to replace the veal. He brought out about 2 oz of veal scallopini. The side dishes were excellent. My husband had lasagna. It was so so. We also had Caesar salad and it was excellent. The focaccia bread they brought was very chewy. I'm assuming from either being stale or rewarmed. Overall a really disappointing meal and experience. We had 6 people--4 adults and 2 kids. We wanted a particular meal from the bar menu, but as we had two kids, we couldn't sit at the bar. We sat at table very close to the bar and proceeded to order the dish we wanted. As one item on the order was from the bar menu, the chef refused to serve it to us, as we weren't sitting at the bar. Manager involved and told us it was the chef's decision. We left without dining. This happened about a year ago and we will never return. read more

Finally got a chance to visit the new location where RusTeak use to be on Maguire Rd. They did a great job with the tenant build out to make a warm, romantic, Tuscan atmosphere. I brought my 11 yr old son who devoured the spaghetti and meatballs, loved the fried mozzarella abs even got his chocolate milk in a "fancy" glass. There's still a bar in the back area of the restaurant and more seating since they close off one of the walls to the bathrooms. I had a phenomenal glass of Malbec abs the Roma flatbread. Everything was fresh and delicious. Our server, Taylor was very knowledgeable and attentive. Can't wait to have and "adult" Date Night here soon! read more

We waited for a hostess for 5 to 10 minutes, and One never came by. It was very dark and part of the restaurant wasn't even being used. We decided to head to the back to seat ourselves. Shortly after sitting down, we heard a bunch of glass break. We were handed some menus and they had a specials list. When the waitress came over, I attempted to ask her about the specials and she abruptly scolded me for asking, and I never even got to complete my question or sentence to her. It's just seems this place is very poorly run and will not be going back to it, the other location has been good when we've been there. I believe this is concentrated to this location. Food - my husband's food was great. About 1/4 of my veal parm was burnt on the bottom. The waiter was great. He took wonderful care of us. He apologized for the burnt food and treated me to a free cappuccino. The phone near us was wringing off the hook for most of our meal and we had to ask the staff to turn up the temperature as we were cold even with sweaters on. Seating starts right near the front door which does not promote comfort. The menu and the wine list are very limited as compared to the Windermere location. We will probably never go back to the Ooee location. read more

We have tried the new location and have had sub par service compared to the cost of the meal. Last night we ordered two vodka martinis with blue cheese olives. When I got home I noticed they charged us for the vodka, olive and then a delegate martini charge which totaled $36 for two vodka martinis. Then my 7 year olds ordered butter pasta with meatballs. Instead of charging us for the kids pasta she charged us a said wand separate charge for meatball which came to $16 for a bowl of pasta , butter and two meatballs. Food was just ok. But now that I am looking at the receipt I am getting angry at how we got charged. Wish I would have looked last night. read more

To be honest I was looking for Rusteak which occupied the space prior and stumbled upon the new tenant at that location. It's definitely an upscale Italian restaurant that did some nice renovations in the space. I stopped in for lunch and ate at the bar. I have to say the bartender was really friendly and provided great service. As for the food...their menu is pretty large, but they do not have a lunch menu, so it's a bit pricey IMO for a lunch. I ordered the chicken saltimbocca ($26) which was served over angel hair pasta, no salad or bread or accompaniments. It was excellent and the serving allowed for leftovers, albeit pricey for a lunch. If I lived in the area I would go back for dinner to try out some of their other menu items but likely won't dine there for lunch. read more
