Was in FL visiting family and working so we picked a place in between us. No parking so had to find a spot, ended up in the public garage a few blocks from the restaurant Hostess was very friendly and seated us right away. We came in to celebrate my friend's birthday and we had an amazing experience. Diego assisted us and he was absolutely incredible! He made sure we had a good time. They gave us bread and limoncello on the house which was a very nice gesture. It is a small location, so even with a reservation, there is a wait to be seated as they try to turn over tables. I ordered off their Bite 30 menu. I had the burrata, pollo capriccioso, and an affogato. The burrata was fresh and creamy. The chicken was essentially "marry me chicken" and it was tasty. The polenta and veggies it came with were a nice addition. The affogato was perfect. I will say, they don't split checks for parties of 6+ so as a party of 10 we had to put it all on one card which was not ideal. We had a nice experience, but this is not an ideal location for large groups or anyone in a rush. read more

We tried Grappolo for Bite30 2026. It was actually difficult to get a reservation inside versus outside but I made an early (5:15 pm) reservation so we could get a table inside. It is quite a small place and the tables are very close together. This was fine early on when there were only a few full tables but later on it made it difficult to hear and you felt like you were having dinner with the folks next to you. I ordered the Beet Carpaccio (yes, beet not beef), the Pollo Capriccioso, and Tiramisu. My friends got the Caesar salad, one got the pizza and one got the Spaghetti Bolognese, and they got the Affogato for dessert. The first course was so good, very flavorful with thinly cut beets with goat cheese and a balsamic dressing. We looked around and saw others had bread so asked for some. It was really good and served with olive oil. When our entrees came, there were now people at the table next to us and like I said, it felt like they were almost at the same table, which I found to be awkward. My chicken dish was amazing with lots of flavor and roasted vegetables. My friends liked their meals as well. By now the restaurant was completely full and service started to drop off. I asked for more water but then she went to another table to take their orders and I had to ask for water again later. It was also starting to get loud in the small space so we ate our (delicious) desserts quickly. This is very hard to rate because the food was so good but the small space and large amount of people ended up making it not a great experience. Maybe when it is cooler out, I'll come back and dine outside. read more

Came here for Bite30 and we were highly disappointed. We were sat at a small table between two more small tables, so maneuvering the menus, glasses on the table and silverware was a challenge and this was before we had any food on the table. Service was a huge let down. We went a while with no refills and noticed we were treated differently compared to the table next to us. When the table next to us was served fish, the smell was so potent and we were so close that's all I could smell. We were able to tell they ordered off the regular menu, based off of what they ordered so I'm assuming this is why they were treated better and more waited on. The burrata and bruschetta appetizers we ordered were delicious, but it went down hill from there. The grilled chicken dish came out cold and the spaghetti bolognese had a taste that was so familiar. When I asked my man to taste it, he hit in right on the nail, it tasted like chef boyardee. The restaurant is so loud we could hardly hear ourselves speak. I found out later we were supposed to be served bread, but were not. The tiramisu was average and the gelato that came with the affagoto was less than average. I really was excited to visit Grappolo since passing by it on Park Ave last year! The restaurant is so beautifully decorated that it feels like you are in Europe, with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly but too friendly with each other, that I felt like I was sitting in a high school cafeteria while they were chatting loudly at the bar, which took away some of the romantic ambience. The food and drinks weren't anything special. The meatballs were severed very cold and without bread, the carpaccio was tasteless and the octopus was overcooked. The server was nice to comp two of our drinks since we didn't eat most of the food. Based on other reviews, I hope this was just an off-day at this restaurant, so I am being generous with 3 stars. read more

I stopped by for brunch. My overall experience was underwhelming. Our server was kind and attentive. The brunch menu is pretty basic and consists of mostly breakfast plates. They no longer offer the "Mains" section that is listed on their website brunch menu (chicken milanese, steak and eggs, crab and lobster roll) which was disappointing because those are the items my husband and I went here for. We were informed we could also order from the pizza menu. Our food order took a while to arrive although they were not busy during my visit. My husband's eggs were overcooked but they quickly replaced them when we brought it to the server's attention. My meal came with poached eggs that were cooked perfectly. Aside from the food, the restaurant is beautiful and the chairs inside are very comfortable. There was drilling noise going on for the majority of the time I was there coming from the kitchen area. They seemed to be drilling bolts/hinges on their kitchen doors. The restroom was nice and clean. Parking can be a bit of a challenge because this is a popular area on the weekends so definitely allow extra time to find parking when you visit any restaurant in this area. read more

My first visit, I was so excited to try this place. I can say there was nothing really wrong but the service and food were good. This is a small place which is fine as it replicates many of the trattoria's you would find in Italy. The menu has a good mix and seems to be prepared well and traditionally. Service was ok. Nothing wrong with it just nothing really remarkable. I thought the price was also fine as it's even a few dollars cheaper on some items than another Italian place just down the street. Small Italian restaurant that has a very European vibe in the service and food. The servers are attentive, but don't consistently check on you so you can enjoy your meal (very European). We appreciated that since we were a larger party and having a great time together. Whenever we needed something the server was available and brought it out promptly. Having been overseas a few times that is very common and we actually prefer that service style. Myself and the kids all started with the carpaccio. It was absolutely delicious and tasted wonderful. It was so good that one of my kids ordered a 2nd one instead of dessert! I opted to try their mushroom ravioli for my entree. It was on their specials menu. It was very dense, but delicious. It was cooked al dente, as I would expect. The sauce was full of flavor, but not too heavy. We were too full to try dessert, but the ones I did see looked delicious. We went here for magical dining and had a great time. I love the location of the restaurant because park Ave is right there. I would say that space in the restaurant is a little tight and I think if they got rid of 2-3 tables it would be the perfect space. However the place is decorated beautifully. The wait staff was very attentive and constantly walking around even what looked like the restaurant manager. I got the Bruschetta, Pollo Capriccioso, affogato and tiramisu to eat and the Rosso red wine to drink. My favorites were the affogato, tiramisu and wine. My boyfriend loved his branzino and we are looking forward to coming back and trying more items off the menu ! read more

Small, intimate, wonderful. Quit here not too long ago with a friend and sat at the bar to enjoy a few drinks and some food. Staff was exceptionally nice. The menu is easy to peruse through and decide what we wanted and recommendations were made by the staff as well when requested. I had the shrimp pasta which was cooked up perfection, and the noodles were perfectly al dente. The owner of the restaurant came out and greeted us and asked how our service was call so ensuring we were well taken care of. This was an extremely nice touch. It is a smaller space with very limited seating so I highly recommend making a reservation during busy times. But overall the intimate setting allows for a cozy vibe. I have visited Grappolo twice, once for just a glass of wine and my second visit was for lunch. Both visits were very pleasant. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. We went to lunch on a Sunday afternoon and ordered from the 2025 Magical Dining menu. The selections were good and the value was great at $40. I had the Caesar salad for my stater, the Pollo Capriccioso for my entree and the chocolate mousse for dessert. I thoroughly enjoyed all courses. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The flavors of the goat cheese along with the sun dried tomatoes and cream sauce married nicely together. The chocolate mousse cake was a perfect ending to a great lunch. Service was friendly. I 100% will absolutely be coming back here. The place is super cute with a bright interior and greenery around. The bar is small, but perfect. Currently it houses 4 chairs, but will soon be 6. They don't have a liquor license, but have plenty of wine and beer to choose from. They also make cocktails with wine based tequilas, rum, etc. Dinah was our server and she was absolutely awesome! Very friendly, patient with me and my indecisiveness, and provided plenty of suggestions when asked. Massimo owns the joint and from Sicily, was also great! Spent time chatting with us and it's clear he loves what he does and takes pride in what they're serving here. After much indecisiveness, I went with the Genovese Stromboli and it did not disappoint. It was packed with flavor and the pesto was to die for. It was crispy and also filling, but not in the "I feel gross" kind of way. It also came with a side salad which was a perfect, fresh accompaniment. I had an aperol spritz and also a glass of the Montepulciano and both were great! To finish we shared a tiramisu, which was perfectly light and crave-worthy. Don't sleep on this place. I will be coming back to try even more. read more

So I wanted to try this restaurant for a while now, even though they just opened and finally got the chance to come in with my family. I had previously mentioned that we needed a highchair in the reservation. Anyhow, we got there right before our reservation at 5pm. Our sweet server, who sat us down, told us that they didn't have any high chairs because they were wet. I was dumbfounded when she said that. I said what do you mean you don't have any high chairs? She said they're all wet from the rain. I said why would you put the high chairs outside? So anyhow, we did not have a highchair for our son until I suggested to bring one inside and we would wipe it down and I had a highchair cover that I could grab from the car. Anyhow, finally, they did that and we were able to sit down. It's definitely not stroller friendly, so try to leave it in the car if you can. Anyhow, I had to ask for bread and the service was very slow. The girl I could tell was maybe new or a little inexperienced in the service industry. Anyhow, we ordered the burrata, the gnocchi, chicken and the sea bass. We also got two slices of the pistachio cake and one of the tiramisu. My chicken was very salty, and it was overly sauced, not in a good way. I didn't think that it tasted great, but I ate it anyway because we just needed to hurry up and get out of there because we were there for so long waiting for things that we needed in between our meal. The owner was there and he was very nice. He greeted each table. I would definitely try it again for lunch, but I probably won't be back here for dinner. I thought the prices were a little steep for what you received and we did order the gnocchi without the filet and there was no price difference. I thought that was a bit off putting. I'm interested to see how the pizza's taste as well as the panini, so I will be back to try that! It's very beautiful inside and very clean. The bathroom is awesome and the staff is very friendly. Grappolo Cucina Italiana is a new Italian restaurant on park avenue that recently opened up so we were eager to try it. Elevated, but still family friendly, so we were comfortable having our 2 year old there and they had high chairs available I ordered a mocktail because I'm 3 months pregnant and the waitress assured me the bartender could make something sweet even though mocktails weren't on the menu. The drink came out and a quarter of the way into the drink I realized that it had alcohol. The waitress brought the drink back and indeed confirmed that there was a miscommunication between her and the bartender. Not a great start but she was very apologetic We ordered the risotto, the Paccheri ai Gamberoni, and the kids pasta spaghetti bolognese. The risotto was tasty and not overly salty like some other versions we've had in town. The kids spaghetti was also good and a very generous portion that my husband and I agreed could've been an adult meal. The Paccheri ai Gamberoni was a bit bland; the shrimp were tasty and big but the sauce itself left a lot to be desired. Would've been 4 stars but the drink mishap brings it down to 3, especially because we figured the mocktail would be complimentary due to the mishap, but we were charged a full $12 for it. I'm sure if we brought it up to the owner who was walking around the floor he would've comped it, but would've been nice for the waitress or bartender to take the initiative to comp it themselves read more

I visited for the first time during magical dining. There is no designated parking so give yourself a few extra minutes to find street parking. The espresso martinis were good but they tasted different from each other and came in different types of glass also which took away from the presentation. The bruschetta tasted fresh though the spicy calamari and spaghetti a la carbonara were the best of the dishes ordered. The server was friendly and refilled our waters as needed. Great service here at Grappolo located on Park Ave in Winter Park. The space is small but there is both indoor and Al fresco dining options, gender neutral restrooms, and a taste of Italy with the simple and elegant decor. We loved our dishes with the carbonara pasta with crispy Guanciale. Next time I'm going to ask for extra crispy. My husband really liked his beef ragu pasta that was full of meaty flavor and very filling. Wish we could've saved room for dessert since that tiramisu was calling my name but next time for sure. Yeah, conflicted on this one. I've started to develop a theory that if you order from the "Bite 30" menu, restaurants simply won't try as hard. My spaghetti bolognese arrived with no garnish, no cheese offered, just...spaghetti (it tasted ok). My girlfriend's chicken was overcooked. Lastly, this restaurant apparently charges you for each individual iced tea. For iced tea and soft drinks you're typically charged a flat rate and refills are free. What an incredible experience. We came for the Magical Dining special and have found a new place to enjoy. The place is small but you don't feel crowded at all. The ambiance is relaxing inviting you to come and enjoy the evening. Our server took good care of us. And the owner made sure our wine was properly cooled table side. Now for the food--from the bruschetta to the calamari--all was well made and delicious. Next we had the bolognese and the sea bass, wow! The sauce of the pasta was so flavorful and quite hearty. My husband loved the sea bass too. For dessert we had the profiteroles and affogato. The affogato came with the gelato nearly melted from the hot decaf espresso. I suggest they serve the gelato and cup of espresso separately so the customer pour the coffee over the gelato. I would have enjoyed it more if the gelato wasn't melted. But overall I give Grappola 5 stars and I'm happy they are here. read more

Made a reservation for 6:45 PM and arrived on time, but the hostess was extremely rude and barely spoke to us. She claimed there weren't enough seats, despite our reservation, and told us to wait outside. We weren't seated until 7:05. The dining room was very loud--we could hardly hear each other speak. We ordered wine, but the pours were wildly inconsistent; one glass was overly full, while another had barely a few sips. We ordered bruschetta to start, but it came as one uncut piece, making it difficult to share. The tableware didn't match, which added to the lack of attention to detail. For the main course, I ordered the lemon chicken special. It took over 45 minutes to arrive, and the dish was a letdown. The sauce wasn't lemony, the chicken was dry and flavorless, and instead of the mashed potatoes promised, I got roasted ones. The meal was bland and uninspired. Grappolo in Italian means a bunch and in this restaurant you will find a bunch of really good authentic italian dishes, with fresh handmade pasta , subtle but very tasty Sauces, the best pizza and good prices, all in one is a place to feel relax and enjoy! Magical Dining is a prime opportunity to try a restaurant you might not typically visit. I am very familiar with Park Avenue in Winter Park and have tried almost every restaurant there. What stood out about dinner at Grappolo last night was a) the customer service and b) the quality of the ingredients for the appetizer, entree, and dessert. Our lovely server, Nicholas, was very sweet and the restaurant itself is attractive - although it started to feel like a scene from "Inception" how one minute a table wasn't next to me and the next minute there was. Most of my meal was from the 20th Anniversary menu - Crostone Italiano, Rigatoni alla Sofia Lorenz, and finally the Tiramisu. The Crostone was excellent - the toasted bread with a medley of vegetables was delicious but the stand-out was the rigatoni. I have two requirements for Italian food - homemade "gravy" and perfectly-cooked pasta (preferably homemade). The tomato sauce and fresh ricotta cheese...chef's kiss. The Tiramisu was delicious, if a little "wet." I'd go for the chocolate mousse if I were to return. My one complaint - I noticed one or two flies in the restaurant while dining. I saw another patron notice it as well. I've also had this happen at another restaurant here on Park Avenue. Look, given the name, the reputation, the expectation...I think restaurants here should do what they can to keep this type of issue from distracting from an otherwise great dining experience.
