Was treated very horribly by the lady who did my nails today. She caused a huge scene where everyone ended up looking over because she was complaining so much just because I wanted to change the design of one nail. I told her I would pay to have it changed and she made a huge deal of it. I will not be going back. I even apologized to the lady at the front desk that I wanted to change the nail but if next time they shouldn't talk about their customer until they've left. I told her how it makes people uncomfortable to be talked badly about when they are the customer. The lady originally wouldn't change the design she said too bad I said no I'm paying to have it changed. So she processed half assed and made a ruckus about it. Terrible customer service. Owner was rude. I had an appointment and he made me wait 45 minutes. When I questioned my appointment time, he yelled at me. I came here with a friend to get a manicure and pedicure. I picked out a nice pink color and at the end of the appointment, my nails just looked like a clear gel was put on. I had no time to do anything about it since I had other commitments after. Not impressed. I will be reaching out to see if they can fix it a couple days later with a discount, but if not, will never be coming back read more

The worst pedicure EVER!!!!! I asked her to do the calluses on my heals, she said "no... she doesn't know how" . To thick. I told her she can use a file... she said NO! She NEVER used a file on the bottom of me feet, which desperately needed it. Ridiculous .... plus I had to wait 20 min just sitting in a chair with no water. I will NEVER return. This was my second time to Bella Vie. The first time I received a gel manicure and it peeled three days later. I foolishly gave the salon a second try on Thursday 2/19. I booked a gel mani and a pedi because I was leaving for Florida the next day. I sat down in the spa chair and was then informed that I would be receiving my manicure at the same time. This might seem convenient but I was there to relax. It was extremely uncomfortable to have to lean over to have her do my nails. After I was finished I then had to sit by the cold door and wait for my toes to dry. I had gotten over the uncomfortable time quickly because the end product came out nicely. The happiness was soon gone when two days later, on Saturday, my gel manicure began to peel. I had to remove all of the manicure. I will never go back to this salon and I will also not recommend it to friends/family. It may look nice but the end product is not worth the price. read more

My first time there was pretty good. Prices are decent and the woman who did my pedicure was very nice. The second time I went there, they rushed me in, the guy running the place was rude and the nail polish ended up chipping off within a day or so. Since I enjoyed my first time and thought Id give them another chance, I went for a third time (probably 6 months after my first 2) I made an appointment and still ended up waiting. Then the same guy running everything made the ladies rush around, had them running back and forth doing manicures and pedicures and when he would step in to assist, he didn't pay much attention and ended up burning my legs. I had to throw the towels off and he never even said sorry. Then in between all the manicures and pedicures my lady was performing, she finally came back to me and I ended up being there for 2 hours. The place was even suppose to close but they kept letting people in and making all the women rush around. After the last two incidents, I will never go back. Even though it looks nice in there and the prices are reasonable, its not worth it. Still no sorry for burning me even when I checked out to pay! read more

Definitely make sure you arent short for time when going, they are a very busy salon. BUT AMAZING work whenever I go to them. The wait is worth it to me, because they do such a great job. Everywhere else around make my nails look super thick and very fake but Bella Vie somehow makes them look more real (even though they are fake). The decor is beautiful, the salon is clean and the people are nice enough but I care more about heels and cuticles and long lasting shellac. I only go here out of desperation when my fav nail salon (Tropical Nails) is closed or too busy. And it's so expensive. read more

I just visited this salon for the last time, in fact the only reason I went this time was because the place I usually go to (2-3 x/year...I don't frequent nail salons) was closed. Bella Vie is horrible....the man that 'greets' you is flat, rude, cold and disengaged....unfortunately, the remainder of the employees are the same, with the exception of the rude part. This last visit I was led to a chair by the greeter and then promptly left....no words, no water in the basin....just shown to a chair....to wait for 10-15 min before someone else showed up. There was no communication to inform me of extended wait time. Unlike other times I've been there, it was not busy at all, there were only about 10-12 other customers there. As per my previous experiences, the woman performing the pedicure made no eye contact and didn't engage beyond the absolute necessary, ie, my chair needed to be moved forward; any attempt to converse failed. My pedicure included parrafin...she left it on for, maybe, 2 minutes..what a waste and a disappointment! When pedicure was (apparently) finished (I don't get polish) the woman got up and walked away...no eye contact, no communication...I had to call out and ask if the appointment was, in fact, completed. If I am to visit a place that calls itself a 'spa' I expect that the experience will be relaxing and pleasant. Save your (outrageous fee) of $35. to $45. for your pedicure and take it elsewhere...you will be happy you did. Oh, as an aside...my red flags go up....the employees look unhappy...given the personality of the male greeter (?owner) I wonder if there's more than meets the eye at this place. read more

I'm writing an update even though I haven't changed my previous one-star rating. I gave this place another try and was so annoyed with the service I received that I was inspired to write about it. The girl who did my pedicure kept looking around, over toward the register area, over to the door, back behind her, swiveling her head the whole time - rather than paying attention to what she was doing. She even painfully clipped skin on my toe because she wasn't paying attention - not just neglecting a paying customer but actually injuring me. I asked if she was expecting an "important client" because she kept watching the door. She stammered some explanation about watching to see who rang out previous clients, to make sure they paid or tipped or something. At the end of my service when I went to pay, there was no place on the credit card slip for a tip (no blank line that said Tip, just the total and a place to sign). So I didn't leave one. I don't normally leave zero tip but I wasn't going to go out of my way to tip a person who barely did their job and who hurt me in the process. I really hope someone from Bella Vie reads these reviews - your place is the closest to my work and home, and even though you're more expensive than Tropical Nails on Dorset I'd probably get my nails done with you... if you weren't so flagrantly disinterested in doing a decent job. read more

Head over heels. Went in with me girlfriend for a mani & pedi to celebrate and they were fantastic! We had called while on our way to confirm they had time for us. Upon arrival we were given an extensive menu of pedicure options and add ons, asked to choose a toe color and immediately in the chair. No waiting. I picked the Hawaiian milkshake; which included paraffin wrap, milk soak, mango mask, sea salt scrub and everything a regular pedicure has! The massage chair was amazing - lots of mode options & it massaged from my neck to my hamstrings! Looooove! The gel polish manicure was great too! As I type I still have the polish on over 2 weeks later & no chips!!! Huge selection of gel polish finally. They also have a large regular polish selection and lots of art to choose from. I highly recommend giving them a try. They have over a dozen pedicure and manicure chairs. You won't be disappointed. read more

I had problems getting quality acrylic nails here and staff was rude to me when I went back to complain that my nails were lifting. They need to use a program to book appointments so that they are not so overrun. Not accepting walk ins when busy would help. read more

I would not go back, I made a 10:15 appointment- they had us soak until 11:05, our water was getting cold, they kept refilling it with hot water. We had a quick 15 minutes pedicure. The place was clearly overbooked with not enough techs there. We were suppose to get a mani and pedi but only got a pedi because of how busy they were and we had to leave by 1230. A mani and pedi should not take over 2 hours. It was very disappointing. The lady who painted my toe nails did a fine job, the lady who did my friends toe nails on the other hand did not do such a good job, just very sloppy and did not pay attention to detail. Anyways we will not be going back. We had to make an appointment else were to get our manicures done tomorrow. bummer. read more

This is about the 5th time I've been to Bella Vie and I do plan to return. They have become increasingly busy as months went by, so I do call first for an appointment and have never had to wait. I have been most impressed by their cleanliness, so was surprised to see some negative comments. Their prices seem to be slightly higher, but not unreasonable for the thorough, high quality manicure received, which lasted many weeks. Having a pedi at this place was one of the most humiliating experiences of my life. The man at the front counter (the owner) is a complete and total monster. I sat in the chair with wax on my legs for an unusually long time as I watched the lady that had been working with me giving another lady a pedi. I asked the owner to take off the wax and explained I had to get home to my baby. He rudely and aggressively came over and took off the wax and told me not to come back if I didn't like it. He was so aggressive with me that tears welled up in my eyes and spilled down my face. At that point I put on my shoes and went to leave, without paint, at which time he physically barricaded the door and demanded full payment or he would call police. I was in full tears at this point and decided to pay so I could get out of there. He did not stop verbally slamming me. He was loud and it was very embarrassing. I cried the whole way home and told my husband that I have never had someone be so physically aggressive with me (when he removed wax) or verbally condescending. Although they had a really great selection of colors and very nice pedicure chairs I was overall not impressed with my experience to say the least. I was rushed picking out my color, there are so many to choose from! They started the water in the foot bath and filled it, by the time I got over to the chair the water was cold. Picking out a color didn't take me THAT long, I might add. The different types of pedicures they do are really interesting, but the one that I got - the tropical one, lasted the same amount of time as my friend who joined me who got the regular spa pedicure (not worth the extra money). I'm not sure about anyone else, but going to get pedicures I want them to focus on my feet - especially because I stand all day at work. What I received was a mediocre leg massage, and the whole pedicure took about 20 minutes. When she exfoliated my feet, she literally took the tool and did one swipe on each foot - which did nothing. When she was done painting my toe nails I was basically kicked out of my massage chair - that was giving me a 100 times better massage than the employee and told very rudely to grab my things and go sit basically in the door way at their nail drying station, very very poor place for this to sit as it was very cold outside and you can feel a draft. I saw one woman getting a manicure at the same time as her pedicure which I think was ridiculous since me and my friend were the only other people in the entire nail salon - so be warned, this happens for some reason. My nail polish is peeling off and it's only been about two weeks since my visit and a pedicure from my normal salon lasts much longer and the polish doesn't peel. I usually go to glamour nails (love them!!!) in maple tree place but went here because I received a gift certificate. Got a mani/pedi. While the pedi was a little relaxing (I mean, any foot rub is nice), the technician was abrasive, painful, and don't pay any attention to the temperature of the items that she was applying to my feet. I feel like she burned me and never asked if the temperature was ok. I jumped several times to indicate that I was not comfortable. The polish took 30+ minutes to dry and I finally gave up. The mani was THE WORST that I have ever gotten. She didn't listen to me and when I asked her to buff my nails a little (bc was not getting polish and recently had shellac that damaged them a bit) she put some goopy pinky stuff on them and told me I was all set. It was a little shocking. The icing on the cake was that the guy who welcomed me and other guests was extremely rude. Will not be going back. read more

Ok, since I have worked for many years in the service industry, I rarely ever leave such a poor review for any establishment. However, I am completely disappointed with my visit to this "spa". In the past, I have had a very good experience here and decided to treat myself by getting my nails done. I woul have been better off staying at home with my emery board. When I first arrived,the staff acted as though I was bothering them for even walking in the door and nicely asking which service they would recommend. My nails were then done by a woman who was exasperated by my minor requests- literally huffing and puffing... ( when you are paying well and tipping for a service, you should be able to make reasonable requests ). Even after I made it clear of what I was hoping for,she did whatever the hell she wanted and rushed away from the table on to her next client. Another woman came along and slapped some lotion on my hands and rubbed them down with a warm towel for two seconds .$65 later, I have "porn star" nails, alot of white gel polish all over my hands, and my cuticles are a mess. I realize that this is a minor 'first world" problem, having a really poor spa experience, but for a business to charge a decent amount of money for shabby services, is unacceptable. read more

I have gone here twice now, I'm not a "get my nails done every week" customer, it's usually for fun with my daughter as a treat. This salon rushes you through, laughed when I thought the manicure would last longer than three days. No real hand massage or trimming of cuticles. Plus the men that work in the shop stand around like bouncers with their arms crossed. Skip this spa and go to another establishment. read more

These guys are my new favorite nail place. My nails looked great and lasted longer than any other place around. I'd even go as far as saying they're better Royal Nails!!! They are beyond clean (sealed sanitized tools in individual pkg) and their mani & pedi options are as high quality as a fancy spa. Definitely not your typical nail salon, but the same great prices. Worst manicure I have ever had. The atmosphere is great, but I'm pretty sure I just paid $20(with tip) for my nails to be painted with clear coat. She "shaped" my nails into a razor sharp uneven mess. Never used a cuticle softener so when she cut my cuticles it really hurt. It's the one and only time I will go there. read more

This place is never relaxing, but at least sometimes you got good pedicure out of it. But no more, I give up. Need to find a new place after this last time. Hardly anyone seemed to speak English, the woman I got spoke none, not a word, apparently not even STOP, or NO, or OUCH! Which is a big problem when they are rushing you through and hurting you, and you are telling them to stop. I got cut, gouged, burned, roughed up in general. They were closing an hour earlier than usual and took me in 20 minutes before without saying a word. Even before she began, just trying to make sure the tools had been autoclaved was a whole production, to ask a simple question. Needless to say the polish is a mess too. I asked for the manager and instead a girl who was clearly NOT the manager said 'I am', while the dude, the manager, glared from the corner. I shouted over to him while speaking to her (not that she was listening as she literally answered the phone and jabbered away in Vietnamese when I started to talk to her, RUDE), I told them that was an awful experience and I am leaving injured and they are lucky to get a twenty out of me and slapped it down on the counter. I paid twenty because frankly I feel bad for the jerky woman who was beating up on me, I have no idea what they actually end up making out of the deal, but I wasn't about to pay 45 bucks for that and I won't return. Don't go here they are not nice people, don't do good work, and charge to much anyway, and the communication barrier is absurd for a highly hands on business. read more
