I know, I know, there are some of you who go every month and more power to you- but that's too much work for lazy face here. Piel is on Ventura Blvd. and inside the RUA Hair Salon. Once inside, you go right and up the stairs. I purchased an $85 Groupon for: Microdermabrasion, LED Therapy and an Antioxidant Oxygen treatment. It's regularly $125. Lucy was welcoming. She went downstairs to get me water (facials make me thirsty!) and her little room was comfortable and smelled spa-like. It was a nice facial but I can't say it was the best I've ever had. Personally, I like to be told about what's going onto my face and a little about the procedure and what to expect- especially since I was a first-timer at Piel. I had to ask about each step, and mostly, the process was relaxing. The only part I really didn't enjoy was the LED Therapy. Lucy placed rubbery eye pads over my lids, set a heavy helmet-like thing over my face and asked me to adjust it if I was uncomfortable- which I did. But she had left the room without checking, and the helmet moved the eye pads and I laid there kinda freaked out since my eyelids weren't entirely covered by the plastic pads. I wondered if I was damaging my eyes. This was not relaxing! I will say that my skin looked really good that evening and glowed the next day. I would probably go back to Piel but I'd skip the helmet of doom...

She doesn't stop until the work is done! We've seen her 3 times now and it's been true every time. The Millia are now gone and he's gotten compliments from his family about how smooth his skin is. My skin is completely different than his (mostly dry/easily irritated). I love that Gabriella tailors her treatments for us individually and doesn't just do the same thing for both of us. I saw videos online and notes how people were bleeding so I was mentally prepared that I may look like that after. Faye is located in a building with multiple offices. During my 3 procedures of micro needling she was in the process of moving so her new office is larger. Overall it isn't bad. The first treatment wasn't as deep but the 2nd and 3rd sessions were. The numbing cream for sure works and I only felt it on body area such as my cheek bones and jaw. I was warned I may feel sunburned and that only last the rest of the day and felt fine by the next day. And I didn't peel but I slathered chilled hyaluronic acid and collagen facemasks when I got home. And did a mask daily for 3 days. She does have hyaluronic in the office for purchase as a serum or masks but I already had a serum and masks at home. Overall I did it to reduce acne scarring and after the 3rd session I did see the slightest improve. Like minuscule. But where my scarring is affects how aggressive treatments are since it in near my forehead sinuses. As a introductory to micro needling Faye made it easier. I like how they send text reminders. Parking are metered, I want to say it was $2.50 for an hour. The session is about an hour since the numbing time is about 20 mins.

Vibrant Skin Boutique will definitely be booking up quickly as more people find out about these incredible services. Victoria smashes the walls between services and redefines what it means to get a facial. Have you ever gotten a facial and hoped that it wasn't just 100% about your face? Or gotten a facial that came with a little arm squeezing that was so mediocre that it made you question the facial itself? How about a facial that was just a steam wand and someone else washing and moisturizing your face? None of that here... I booked an enzyme facial with Victoria during her grand opening. She tailored the facial to my needs and since there was a bonus deal, she added in a 30 minute LED session. This is a new business but she's not a new esthetician for those uncertain about visiting something that seems "new". Services are in a medical spa - in a clean office with secured parking. The facial started by getting cozy and relaxed on the bed. She had blankets and pillows to get super comfortable. She used soothing cleansers and various masks, letting me know what things were before she used each item. There were a few tingly items but nothing was too uncomfortable. I think she blended some masks together based on my skin, too. Each application felt like a face massage, too. I felt like she used 40 different things on my face but I'm probably exaggerating - it was just all amazing and I felt super pampered! The add on LED session was cool. I'm not sure it's something that I "see" the results of immediately but I'd do it again! I had an LED session somewhere else and felt...a little claustrophobia or dizziness with the constant light, even though eyes were closed and i had covers on. The LED that Victoria used (which pulsed bright to do) was so awesome and did not give me any weird side effects. Throughout the LED session, she did an incredible body work session, targeting my sore neck, upper back, arms, and legs. I really hope she continues to do this combo! I left feeling like I had gotten a massage, a facial, and felt overall refreshed. Highly recommend!
