We paid a $200 deposit online via PayPal to hold our date then paid the remaining balance a few weeks before our wedding date at their home. This gave us time to apply for our wedding license at the Department of Health DOH (about $13) downtown. Coco gave us guidance on the best times to go to the DOH to avoid long lines as we talked story on his porch. On our wedding day, everything was done for us and we just had to show up. We were married on Makapu'u. Coco played Over the Rainbow and the Hawaiian Wedding Song for us as he sang with his Ukulele. Our photographer, Dave was exceptional. We loved the way Coco officiated our wedding and our vows. His humor and his many Hawaiian blessings made it a beautiful wedding morning to remember. For 1 year, she patiently met regularly online with us and was quick to respond to emails. She was organized and very helpful, with excellent suggestions on everything from floral suggestions (using arch flowers as centerpieces, using bridesmaid bouquets at the head table) to hair and makeup recommendations (Mai Tokioka was truly as fantastic as she said) to restaurant recommendations. Sarah offered to receive packages at her home so we didn't have to overload our suitcases bringing things over from Canada, and also offered to print our welcome board, seating chart and display photos. This made life so much easier for us. Because of renovations at our wedding venue, we weren't able to stay there and had to stay across the street at a sister hotel. Sarah ensured that we weren't inconvenienced by having her assistants help move our things from room to room, and made sure nothing got lost. On the day of the wedding, Sarah had 2 assistants to ensure the day ran smoothly. One assistant was very sweet and followed me around to ensure I had everything I needed and helped with my dress for photos. The other assistant so kindly ran around from hotel to hotel when I forgot my garter and other things. Sarah herself made sure everything was perfect, including music, cake florals, name plates, guest sign-in table, and even helped set up the electric keyboard I requested so I could play a song just before my processional. She reached out a little prior to to our 2 month out timeline start date. Here we had meetings to check in with our DJ about music, and met a few times in person to ensure the flowers, song choices and ceremony were all in check. Just before the wedding, we met and she took our guest sign in book, table signs, seating chart, pens, etc. Bascially and literally took everything off our hands.
