I'm very picky about my nails looking natural, I don't like the very square pink and white acrylic look... Teresa & Quinn listened to me about my concerns, being very hard on my hands & nails, I can't keep polish on for more than a day or two, and wanted to put on either gels or acrylic to help my nails keep from splitting & peeling. Teresa put on a gel, then painted a French, with a gel top coat. This way I can apply polish at home when I'm tired of the French look... Brilliant! And they are very thin, with a beautiful shape, you wouldn't know that I had tips or any artificial stuff on them! The best part- the price-affordable! read more

I have to say I was very dissapointed. I made my appt for 315 for a gel manicure. I called them letting them know I was going to be 5 minutes late. I arrive at 320 and wait until 330. Then the nail tech starts my manicure. About 15 min in she asks if I can wait 15 min bc her appt arrived and she needed to do her nails. Are you kidding me? I am furious at this point. The lack of nail color was already annoying and the fact that midway through my service she stops to see another appt. I will not be coming back here. read more

I have lived in Encinitas for 2 years and this is the only place that I will go to. It can be a bit pricey but you do get what you pay for. I have received complements on my nails many times! I love the staff and they always remember your name. It is very clean and they are never rude to you. They do accept walk ins but i highly recommend making an appointment but they do tend to get really busy. over all I LOVE this place. read more

Went to this salon for the first - and last - time after reading the reviews here. Made an appointment and still had to wait for 25 minutes. Appointment was for a pink and white gel fill. Technician was VERY rough, overzealous with the drill until it burned, scraped my cuticles with the nail file/buffer and made me bleed, used powder gel instead of liquid, which lifted almost immediately. I could go on and on. The only advantage to this place was the price... but you get what you pay for. read more

I can't say how impressed I am by this salon. I'm a "salonaholic" I love getting my nails done, waxing etc. And this nail salon has exceeded my expectation. The staffs are oh so nice and caring. They actually took care of me and my nails. The pedicures are so clean and pretty. Their color polish options are amazing. And might I say their special acrylic pink and white nails look so natural and stays on long as well. I really like this salon. They do waxing as well, very convenient so you don't have to go to some other place to get waxed. Overall good priced salon, and high quality service. After trying other nail salons on El Camino- I was so very happy to have tried this one! It is a gorgeous salon, very relaxing, well decorated and does not smell as strongly as many others. The pedicure spa was "just right". Massages at other places are too firm or rough, she had just the right touch. The amount of cuticle trimming was just right too. Very pleased and will go back. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE: I hate to say that I complained somewhere because I have worked in costumer service since I started working and I have never complained anywhere even for poor service because I know what it's like, but this was outrageously horrible. first off I go in because I've never been there before and I have a specific nail design that I would like, but if it was too expensive I was going to get a simple Gel color. they told me upfront two times that a basic pedicure and the design would cost $35 and I said okay great and I got it. midway through my acrylic nails (which I only wanted because of the design ) he said that it would cost $15 extra. And I never would've got it if he told me that upfront and obviously I wasn't going to make him take it off and redo it because I had somewhere to be. For my acrylic nails I asked for the almond shape and he gave me oval and when I asked for him to please fix it and do the almond shape like I asked he ignored me and refused and said it was the way that it should be...Also all I did with my toes was ask for a very basic pedicure just shape and paint, nothing else. My shape and paint ended up being $22...it shouldn't have cost more than $10. There should have been no miscommunication considering they spoke perfect English. I didn't want to cause a scene there so when I called the next day to ask for a refund (because I was trying to be nice about it) they yelled at me and cursed and hung up. I was so disappointed. This is by far the worst place I've ever been. * if you want a perfect and cheap nail place to go to, visit Zen nails in laguna hills. Bellagio is a great place for gel manicures and pedicures. I found it on a whim about 9 months ago. The girls are always friendly and the prices are very fair. Super clean and well maintained. It's tucked away at the end of the shopping center near Von's so parking is usually easy. I highly recommend! read more

Went here not knowing what to expect and was extremely pleased with the mani pedi I got. Staff was welcoming and friendly and the two girls who worked on me were excellent. My nails were in really bad condition and they looked better than I ever expected when finished. Services were not done hastily but with intention to please customer. I love this salon. I've had my nails done everywhere from mira mesa, poway, carlsbad and vista. This is by far my favorite. The employees are all hard workers and really love what they do. My nails are done beautifully every time! I wear pink/white acrylic and I wear my nails very short, TAI does a beautiful job of this, and they look perfect every time for only $30!! Everyone there is very conscious of your time spent, and you are sure to be in and out within an hour (even with a pink/white fill!) Give it a try, I know you won't be disappointed! read more

I love this place! I had a little girls get together for my wedding party 2 days before my wedding. They stayed late so we could have the place to our self. Although place is very nice and clean and staff is really friendly, I did not like my first eyebrow wax, the lady did her work very fast and missed many hairs and one eyebrow was shaped better than the other one. I was not happy at all, and was charged 12$ plus a .50 cent debit charge. Have not tried nails but when it comes to waxing was not impressed. read more

I just spent $16 on the worst French manicure of my life. This place was completely unsanitary. Every time this girl applied a liquid whether if be oil, lotion, or nail polish remover, she squirted half the bottle on my hands. When she used alcohol to clean my nails after the lotion, she squirted so much with such force that it sprayed all over my face and clothes. WHat was she thinking??? Then she made me bleed while cutting my cuticles and just put back the cuticle cutter without cleaning and used in on the next person. It had my blood on it!!!!!! Are you kidding me!? To top it all off she used a florescent color for my nails and now I look like a French hooker. Thanks a lot Bellagio Nails!!! I hope the health department shuts you down! read more

Went in for a gel manicure and pedicure. I've never had a pedicure chip and after 3 days chipped on my left big toe the nail polish chipped then a couple of days later my right toe chipped. My gel manicure barely lasted a week...I'm not from the area and seeing "ok" reviews thought I would give the place a try...I wouldn't recommend this place to those that aren't regular clients. read more

The pricing is better than what I've paid most places and the value is far greater. This was the worst experience I have ever had getting my nails done. They finished my pedicure in 10 minutes which would have been nice if I was in a hurry. They cut me 2 times and filed each nail for about 3 seconds and then put polish on. The gel manicure was the worst part. Without asking me,she cut all my nails off. She half removed my Red nail polish which I asked her to redo twice. Looked horrible under the French manicure I got. She filed my nails with an extremely coarse file and now my nails went from strong to the weakest nails I have ever felt. I literally feel like they are going to bend off. i tried to get my credit card out of my wallet later in the day and my nail completely tore. She spilled polish remover all over my pants because she was in such a rush to move the dish to the other hand. She answered her phone twice with my hand in her hand and looked at Facebook 3 times. She kept shoving my hand in the UV lamp to make them dry more quickly which was super hot everytime my hand kept hitting the light bulb. She covered half of my now short nail with white which looked crazy. The "massage" was non existent. She literally put lotion on, rubbed it for 30 seconds and wiped it off. She said thank you and bolted out the door with her keys. Guess she was late for something. Why even come to work. NEVER EVER again....,plus it was $55. Ugh!!!!!! Truly a spa experience! I went into this salon without an appt. and simply expecting a pedicure and manicure. This was so much more. For a slight increase to a very reasonably priced service, I received a most luxurious leg/foot and arm/hand massage complete with a paraffin treatment. I've had this at some of the tops spas around the world and while the surrounding may not have been as posh, the experience was at the top of my list. Teresa and Michelle were the two young women that tended to me. I will request them in the future. I will be returning. read more

First, I will preface to say that I am not normally one to complain, but after my experience today, I feel compelled to do so. My friend and I visited Bellagio Nail Spa today. She and I have tried many nail salons in the Encinitas area, and this was, by far, our worst experience. The salon was very cold and uncomfortable - it was a cold, rainy winter day out and we were hoping for some warmth and relaxation, but not to be. During my manicure, my nail artist cut into me and drew blood on two different fingers and did not make any effort to clean up the blood, disinfect the area, or apologize for her error or for my discomfort. Even injury aside, the end result on both fingers and toes was as good as I could have done myself at home only I wouldn't have cut myself and I would have saved $30. We will not be back and we will not refer customers here. read more

This place is wonderful! The women made me feel like I was with friends, Which makes it that much more comfortable for myself. I've gotten acrylic nails in the past and they lift or break within 2 weeks, my set lasted me 5 weeks!! I have gone to 4 different technicians here and I am happy every time :) they remember me too, which I love. And the owner or manager always remembers my name which is so personal. After reading The reviews I decided to give this salon a try. Of course out of the shoot I got the man! I was so bummed since I had read his terrible review. But, I was pleasantly surprised! He was good, very gentle, which I am usually brutalized! The spa was quiet on an early Saturday and my daughter and I received the royal treatment. I do not even know where to begin. I never write reviews if they are terrible, but whoever is reading this will appreciate the time, money and PAIN I will be saving you. My friend referred me to this place and said she loved how her nails turned out. I had a couple hours before work and decided to stop in and get a full set acrylic. At first, they said they were too busy and for me to come back in one hour. I was about to say nevermind because I had to be at work. Then they change their mind and say they can take me now? Uhmmm, ok, why would you turn someone away when you really do have time? Then a man finishing up a pedicure asks me to go have a seat. So he starts doing my nails and I notice how uneven they are already looking. I dont say anything yet, hoping he would fix it before I turned into that annoying nagging person. He never did, so I politely asked if he could file them down to be more even and shorter. As hes filing away using the electronic nail buffer, he is not paying attention to how many times he hits my actual skin everytime he goes over my nail. I yelped in pain and pulled my hand away as he gouged my right ring finger with the buffer. It starts bleeding, and he puts some type of chemical on it to stop the bleeding. It burned even more so I asked to rinse it off. Instead of letting me get up and do what I asked, he puts RUBBING ALCOHOL on it. I dealt with the stinging and let him continue, probably because I wanted him to just hurry up and be done. My finger is still throbbing and burning 4 hours later as I'm typing this. He also felt the need to touch the area after I told him how bad it was stinging. I asked, "can you please stop touching it, it really hurts". Then he tells me to take tylenol to help with the pain! I almost started laughing in disbelief that this experience could not get any worse. He paints my nails worse than I could have done myself, blindfolded. He put the paint on so thick that it still isn't fully dry and if I hit it on something it shows a ding in the paint. He puts my hands under the UV light to dry and leaves me there as he goes to do another pedicure. I sat there for 20 minutes....I eventually asked if they thought my nails were ok for me to leave. He comes over from the other customer with gloves on and says his hands are dirty, so tells me to touch them myself to see if they are ok. I said, I dont know, I'm not really sure? They were still tacky feeling to me but I didnt have time to sit there forever. He tells me to wait longer and goes back to the pedicure and starts talking about me in vietnemese to the other workers. At this point, I was so irritated and the thought crossed my mind to walk out without paying. I have never thought about that before in my life because to me, that would be the same as stealing. The experience was so terrible I almost brought myself to "steal" and walk out. I couldn't bring myself to do it and payed him the 25 dollars. When I hand him my card, he takes my card with the SAME gloves on that he had been touching the other persons feet with!! I could not wait to get out of this place. No matter what, do not go to this salon. If I could have given it zero stars I would have. read more

I have never even rated anything on Yelp before, but am compelled to write about this nail salon. I had not been here for a while because one of the woman who had done my manicure was so rough cutting my cuticles that I was bleeding in two places. This happened to me twice in a row. I had not been back, but I had company in town over the holiday weekend and needed to take them someplace where they could walk in. Unfortunately the same woman was there. I wish that was the only concern I had was bleeding cuticles. The water was cold for both my daughter-in-law and niece. My daughter-in-law had her cuticles cut and bleeding, along with her heel. Same woman whom I had been unhappy with, and she didn't even bother to wipe out the water (which had blood in it) with a disinfectant. She just wiped it out lightly with a towel. The pedicure she had requested advertised a 5-minute massage. It was possibly 1 minute. My niece was having the same experience, without the bleeding. Her pedicure was so sloppy, that I had to ask the gentleman to redo it. He tried to paint over the three toes involved first. That didn't work, so he finally removed the polish and redid them. I didn't even know the extent of the poor service until I got in the car and the girls were talking about it. I went back inside to talk to them. They offered a discount coupon, but I will never be going back there - much less recommend them to anybody. If they were really concerned about customer service, they would have offered a refund. Instead the woman who rang up my niece asked her multiple times if that amount was all she was charging, hinting that the tip wasn't on the slip. I can only echo the post by 'Annie F.' - never again. And to the person at this salon who couldn't be bothered to clean up the blood in the bowl of the chair - I will be reporting this to cosmetology board. Very unprofessional. read more
