This place was a joke. It is not clean at all. I came in with my sister for mani pedis. The owner said she had someone for my sister and I to get our nails done at the same time. When we walked in, it was only her. As my sister was getting her gel off, I looked at the polish colors. Faded, separated, obviously refilled colors lined the walls. As I sat down, there were no clean instruments for my manicure and someone else's nail clippings on the dirty towel I sat my hands on. Then after touching a dirty UV light dryer, I proceeded to go through FOUR different gel colors because they were all extremely different from the samples. The owner said it was because the samples were faded! At this point I was done, I just said stop working I am leaving - owner charged me for a full manicure (even though I got no polish and barely "manicured" nails) and the poorly applied gel clear coat. Bottom line: this place is dirty and a rip off. Horrible customer service. read more

Today, I went into this salon because the one I preferred was full. I was greeted by a nice older lady but that's about all the positive feedback I can give about this salon. The woman that gave me a pedicure was rude, quick and left me in the chair after I paid her. Usually, they will help you put your sandals back on and see you to the door. I really wanted to like this place. I was recommend to go by a friend who thought very highly of them. *Mother and daughter owned and run, love that concept. Nice people. I got my nails done on a Thursday night (paid extra and got gel) not even a week later (5 days) already had 2 of them break. Had to go back (wasted even more time) and paid to get them fixed (gave them another shot). Now it's not even 2 weeks yet and I have 4 broken nails (to include one that was fixed). Dissatisfied to say the least with the quality of their product. *I'm on my phone all day, no physical labor done. So this should not happen. No excuses. My whole reasoning behind getting gel was so I didn't need to go in so frequently and look what happened... I went back to give them another chance, got a regular fullset, the next day, they already started lifting. Liberty's Nails has lost my business due to quality. read more

Cute little hidden spot, it's a lot smaller than your average nail salon but it's family owned. The whole family works there and they are all so sweet with their adorable little dogs. Michelle is seriously such a delight, she's so sweet and gentle when doing my nails. I told her I have an anxiety while getting toes done but she was so gentle I didn't have a problem. Make sure to make an appointment since they are a smaller salon but I didn't have a problem getting an appointment at all, they took me in right away! read more

I've been to better nail salons. The polish selection was small. The pedicure was short and not relaxing. It was obvious they were trying to move things along quickly. My nail polish chipped the next day. And being allergic to dogs, I was disappointed that there were two little dogs running around the shop, laying in the empty spa chairs. read more

The fact that I got a basic manicure is an understatement. This lady just basically trimmed and filed my nails and put Polish on. That's it. I could have done this at home. What bothered me the most is when I told owner lady something, she told another worker something in her language, and that other person looked at me and laughed out loud. STAY AWAY: HEALTH ISSUE I went to Liberty's because my usual place was packed and I needed my nails done that day for Vegas. I sat down with the older of the two women and explained I wanted acrylics and instead got talked into gel because they would 'look more natural'. She started violently shaving my nails down and applied the first coats of clear gel and my finger IMMEDIATELY started painfully burning under the UV light. I jerked my hand out and although I'd NEVER felt this at any other salon she somehow convinced me it was normal. I spoke with the owner of my regular nail place and she said that burning sensation only happens when they're using cheap products which can seep into cuts. Shame on you for potentially making patrons sick. I somehow finished the manicure. Throughout the whole process I told her to please keep them as thin as you can go and finally she snapped saying I should just let her do it and show me. Welp as I feared they were a huge, bubbly triangular catastrophe but it was too late. The nail artist talked to some girl who was holding a chihuahua in a diaper that barked for my entire visit. I moved to encinitas about 5 years ago and tried several places, they were ok. My mother in law took me to Liberty and i fell in love with these ladys!! Denise and Michelle run a mother daughter business and are so sweet! Michelle does my nails special for the type of business i do, very hard on my nails... They take extra care of their clients!! I have been with them for years and will not go anywhere else. Appointments are best but they do try to take all walk ins. They are sweet and i consider them friends now!! read more

I had a chipped nail and went to get it redone. There were very few colors to choose from and I couldn't find same as mine which is a basic light beige. The lady put on base coat without cleaning nail properly since she filed it and there were dust on it. Then she proceeded to do one coat and put another to darken the color. After the top layer she touched nail several times to see if it was dry. She decided that t was and I paid her. Doing this My nail touched my bag and the polish was a bit off. As I was wondering what to do and if I would have to do it again she said it looked ok and how did I do this so quickly?.. The place is not clean, the dryers are dirty the polish have dust on them and there's isn't much choice. While I appreciated being able to get help right away after calling in I didn't feel welcome nor did I feel she did a good job. I have a darker nail with the top already looking bad. read more
