Horrible Experience at Bellagio Nails I wish I could give this place zero stars. I went to Bellagio Nails for a manicure and ended up with serious nail damage. My nails hurt so bad! The technician used a drill on my nails, and now my nails are incredibly weak, thin, and damaged. I've never had this issue before, so I'm really disappointed that a "professional" salon would do this. Not only did the drill cause damage, but the overall service was terrible. The technician was a great person, but seemed rushed and didn't pay attention to detail. My nails are uneven, and the polish chipped as soon as I got in the car. I've had many manicures in the past, but I've never walked out with such poor results. To make matters worse, the salon wasn't very clean. At this point, I'm just hoping I can repair my nails. I called them before going in to make an appointment for a pedicure they told me it was fine, I proceeded to walk into the business which also I've been excited to try and wanting to try for a while and I'm very disappointed that it ended this way, anyways nobody said hi to me nobody greeted me nobody asked me what I'm there for or what I want I just got a bunch of stares which was very awkward. I proceeded to sit down hoping that somebody would ask me what's going on or just tell me where to go sit for my pedicure but no nobody asked me for anything they just proceeded to walk by and look at me like I'm a complete weirdo... while I was in the salon I ended up finding a different salon that was nearby even closer to my house made the appointment while I was sitting in the salon got up and left everybody just looking again nobody says anything this is beyond me. Made an appointment in the morning for the same day at 4:00 pm. Arrived on time. When greeted, I told them I had a 4 o'clock appt for a mani/pedi and she looked confused. Told me to pick out a color. Did that and waited 15 minutes before I was spoken to again to be seated for my mani. She told me someone would be with me soon. Waited another 25 minutes, and nothing. No one checked on me or even updated me to let me know they were running behind. When I got up to tell someone that I was leaving because I've been waiting over 40 minutes, they just said 'oh no, I'm sorry'. That's it. I'm currently 9 months pregnant and just wanted a little TLC before baby gets here and the little time that I have to spare was wasted. Won't be coming back. read more

Just purchaed a home in the yorkville area and this is my first time here. Wow so far I love this place this place Nancy has been so great. Shes been constantly asking during the process if everything is good and If i like either the massage or if water is good and or if the towel was too hot. Still have yet to get the no chip but I will be updating the review shortly. So before starting on my no chip pedicure she made sure to show me my color and verify with me tbat it was the number I chose. I can just say that I'm impressed so far. I went to Bellagio Nail Spa in Yorkville for the first time on the Friday before Christmas. I called about 40min before, and they were quickly able to get me in during my lunch break, despite the salon being quite busy. It was my first time getting no-chip polish and I could not be happier with the result. They were very well done, and I'm looking forward to them lasting the next couple of weeks hopefully. :( This place is clean and the workers are nice but my nails did not come out great. I had to add my own clear coat when I got home because the clear coat they put on was really bumpy. Plus I got French nails done and if you look at my photo the white part is patchy looking. Just not great for what I paid. They are so nice though. One of the nicest salons I have been too but obviously if my nails don't look that great I'm not going back. I recently went to bravia nails in oswego and they were rude and not as clean but my nails looked amazing when I left. It's sad that when it comes to nail salons you have to choose. I would give zero stars but I can't. I've been coming to this place for the 4 times I've had my nails done. I've always heard good things about this place. I can't say the people are not nice they are great. However I just removed my nails at home to notice that my one nail had a nail fungus! Never in my life, have I ever gotten a nail fungus from doing my nail. I do hair for a living...what this means is their sanitation is NOT great. You most likely used a dirty tool on me or file. I went there today and had a pedicure and then a full set done. The pedicure lady did a great job and I loved my toes! I was upset about my full set because the lady who did them put a couple on slanted and I asked if they could be fixed and I was told if I came in for a fill they would fix them then and sorry. The first time I came this year wanted to try a new place close to home I loved my manicure dip powder nails & pedicure regular the service was good from the start especially when I noticed my toe nails felt way better afterwards. So my second time around I brought my mother initially she did not like her dip powder nails and it was after we left so of course I called and we were told we can come back to get them fixed but why was my mother was being charged for a new set?? we didn't deal with the same worker they weren't in. My mom and I walked in on a Sunday afternoon for two manicures after finding out our usual nail salon was temporarily closed for a family event. Surprisingly, we got waited on almost instantly. The girl who greeted us was not super friendly, but once we got waited on, the nail technicians were really nice. My nails were perfectly filed (square, how I like them) and looked great several days later. While this is not my go-to salon, I would go back without a doubt! I couldn't get an appt with my usual girl at my usual nail salon in North Aurora and I live in Yorkville so I thought what the hell! Why not go 3 minutes from my house and try Bellagio because I had heard from friends that TJ the owner was the one to see there. He was really really hard to get an appointment with. I called several times before anyone even answered the phone and it was his wife. He was either booked up or not going to be in when I named ten different times and days since I have such a leanient work schedule. Very frustrating. He used to be in there everyday but since he had a new baby he has been not coming in as much and his wife has been coming in instead, but I heard that she doesn't do good nails so I was persistent on seeing TJ. It took me over a month to get in with him but I finally did. He did a good job. No complaints on his work. He has lots of colors to pick from too. He was friendly and talkative and it made time go by faster. I didn't like how he charged me an extra $6 dollars to paint 6 tiny little hearts on 6 of my nails. I've always gotten a little tiny flower or something painted on my nails at several other nail places and never was charged extra. I'm already paying $45 for a no chip manicure dipping powder for God's Sake. Pacific Salon across the street from Bellagio is $10 dollars cheaper, but quality of work isn't good. All in all a good no chip manicure but TJ needs to be in the salon more often to serve his customers. Honestly, I've been going to this place because it's the only "decent" nail salon within a 40 minute radius of me. Every single time I have gone here, there's always an issue. From crooked nails, to the acrylic on one nail way thicker than the other, or telling me that they simply won't do the design. They told me they wouldn't do the pink & white ombre after switching me around 4 times & then leaving me to sit for 2 hours. Today was the final straw. I came in with 3 nails broken off ( no fault of theirs), and then the rest was just a fill. She tried to just file the nail polish off the broken one and I think she was genuinely thinking of just attaching a new tip & then filling in acrylic when it was missing. Once she realized I had 3 broken, she changed course & took an unused tip & tip the acrylic off which was EXTREMELY painful. Aren't you supposed to soak or use the electric file/buffer thing to get rid of it?? I asked for almond nails with the tip rounded out & yet they're still pointy. I showed her a simple picture of swirl nails(I will attach) & she proceeded to tell me that she couldn't do it because it was too expensive???????? On what planet is that a valid excuse. Just say you can't do the design & apologize. I went to another nail salon & got the SAME thing for $65. They charged me $45 to tell me no to the design, I picked a color I didn't like. $45 at Bellagio for a fill is ridiculous when every time I go, I am charged $45 for a full set. This place is a joke. They never use new sterilized tools on each new person anyway which I'm sure is a health code violation. I will never go to this place again & almost every person I know who has gone here is not pleased but it's the same answer every time. "There's no good nail places & this place is decent". Best nail salon in the area. They are sometimes too busy for walk ins but that's because they're the best! They always take they're time with you no matter how busy they are. The owners are incredibly friendly and all the nail techs have an eye for detail. My nails always last up to 3 weeks without breaking or chipping. Another thing that I greatly appreciate is honesty with their wait times. There's another place also in Yorkville that will seat you in the pedi chair, tell you it's a 5 min wait but in reality it's more like 30-40. Great service. When I went on a weekday evening, I was helped straigt away. The salon is very clean and family owned. The owner is a funny, talkative guy. We had quite the convo about Vegas. Where to go, what to do. And he made my nails BEAUTIFUL! He even added some art for free. He is very creative and willing to try anything for you. He takes his nail talent seriously and "plays off his customers" when designing. Oh and the pedicure is still perfect after stomping around 4 days in Vegas and a week later. I wish I could give zero stars as this service was Nothing short of Horrible! Worst service EVER. They will delete your appointment to make room for people who don't have a scheduled appointment. We waited 13 minutes to even get a hello. I stuck it out cause we had an important event but I'm still regretting it as I write this. My 5 year old could have painted my nails better- asked for a refund on nail art as it was completely bogus and was screamed at and told to get out. Never again! Beware! read more
