Buffalo chicken wings with ranch and celery
    FoodCritic 1.

The spinach dip is tasty, but sometimes too greasy to swallow. The buffalo wings are very good. The pizzas are decent. The quesadillas are big, stuffed with veggies and meat, but not very flavorful. The steak and eggs are a hit or miss. Sometimes the ribeye is the most flavorful and best cooked steak, whereas other times, it may be over cooked and over salted. It's definitely a hit or miss for the steak. If it's a hit, and you're lucky....the steak will be delicious! The service actually needs major assistance. Customer satisfaction should be top priority, but it's not.

It's a great little cafe restaurant and bakery inside the AmeriStar Casino. Very open space. Limited menu of salads, sandwiches and best of all bakery goods! Yum Yum! Food menu is pretty good though, deli sandwiches, burgers, po'boy sandwiches, soups and salads. The service is pretty good. Very friendly. Restaurant was very clean. Price was great for service and food quality. Would highly recommend!

chicken wings in a styrofoam container

I ordered the chicken wings. 6 for $9. I thought that was expensive but I assumed they would come with carrots, celery and blue cheese dressing. So I splurged. Haha NOPE they are small overcooked wings all alone in a container with a packaged ranch dressing. So hard they are hardly edible. very disappointing!!!!

This is probably the most unfriendly venue that I've visited in a long time. All of the food outlets are closed at the Ameristar on Mondays. However, this place took rude to new levels on this visit. We stood and watch Stella and another employee stand at the register and talk about money (I wish I could have recorded this). After honestly a couple of minutes, we placed an order and was then told to go to a kiosk and print a ticket and return...the kiosk didn't work. So we went to the cashier's cage and ask them to print a ticket for us. She couldn't, but told us to go to yet another kiosk and we got this one to work. We returned to Bella's and placed our order at 1:31. At 1:48 we still hadn't received our Delta burger and shrimp po boy with fries and onion rings. But it finally arrived at 1:55 pm. The food was just OK. But when you consider the price, the food didn't measure up. The service, with the exception of Christina our waitress, was horrid and bottom line, this long time customer is going to find a new venue to eat and game In Vicksburg, MS

I didn't have high hopes at all for this little bakery inside the casino. We were too late for any of the other restaurants. I grew up on fried seafood in New England so I am a bit of a snob. I had the most Amazing seafood basket!! Great service .. Big surprises all the way around!!

Brunch entrées included a small salad or fruit cup, and a dessert. We enjoyed our salads with balsamic dressing. For an entrée, I chose seafood, gumbo, and my husband, the shrimp and grits. The cheesy, creamy grits with the best I ever tasted, and my husband doesn't like shrimp, but he devoured them. We're trying both desserts, the warm peach cobbler alamode and the white chocolate bread pudding were obscene. Our meal was delicious, service, impeccable, and the setting spectacular.

My sandwich was a grilled shrimp po boy on bread that tasted like it was from Gambino's. It was very good taste wise and I enjoyed it. Ditto on the cup of seafood gumbo with shrimp in it and with a good tasting roux too. Finally the baked potato salad was creamy, cool and flavorful. Altogether this was a very good meal. On the front door is a sign saying that they charge an extra 4% for credit card usage. Also, on my check were two prices, one for cash and the other for credit. While I detest restaurants that charge extra for credit card usage, I will give Gumbo Pot credit in that they clearly disclose that fee on the door and on the bill but I still hate it.

We got the half Italian and half Honey bbq. Sides were steamed broccoli and potato salad. The sides were ok but the standouts were definitely the sandwiches. I wasn't expecting them to be so good. The sourness of the Dijon mustard coupled perfectly with the Italian meats. You may dine in but we got them to go to eat while on the road. The staff was patient with while we looked at the menu. I stated, wouldn't it be better if you informed the customer you were out of the bread and give them the option of canceling the order. She agreed, and apologized. However, I did not feel as if she was sorry for my inconvenience. This was my absolute last time to order from this McAllister. Until this last trip I had never had the sandwich that made them famous. Now that I have, I can say that this is a must stop. Heck, it may be worth a drive if you are within an hour or two. The only thing you need to know is that you must order a fried green tomato BLT. In my entire life I have never intentionally ordered a BLT. To me, this is the most dumb idea for a sandwich I have ever heard of. Until now. This is quite possibly one of teh most perfect sandwiches I have ever had. It is so great that I wanted a second when I was done but it definitely would not have been as good later as it was fresh. Amazing. Service was as friendly as one should expect from a roadsie shack such as this. The one worker took our order, made it, delievered it, and gave us some pork rinds with their homemade hot sauce to try. That was a solid thing to do as it made me buy two of their hot sauces stored in old coke bottles. Just come here. Order the BLT. Thank me later.

We were with our dog and had just finished doing some sightseeing so we wanted to get back to our rental to eat. All of the food was awesome! The wings were absolutely delicious! Wings are a staple of my wife's diet when visiting a pub/bar and I will say confidently these wings were the best I've ever tasted (across the country). If all wings tasted this good then I'd eat them all the time too. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and plenty of meat on each wing. They literally didn't need sauce. The pizza was equally as good, and I'm unashamedly snobby and critical about pizza. Admittedly, the only thing that may put people off is how greasy they are. I literally had a grease stain on my pants after resting the box on my lap for a couple of minutes on the ride home. But that aside, the flavor of both pizzas was fantastic! Perfect amount of cheese, a great tasting sauce, and a perfectly charred crust that wasn't too thick or too thin (although you will need to fold it to eat it or the slice will flop downward from the weight of the cheese). If you love pizza and wings, then eat here. As an aside, I've also had their beer, which is served at the property we were staying at, in Vicksburg. The Mr. Sippi is a very drinkable Pilsner.
