This Belle Tire location is awesome! Several times I have gone in with a minor issue and they have fixed it totally free - no charge. When they do a more serious job or repair they also do an excellent job. But really you can't beat that customer service. On Thursday they are open till 8pm which is great if you don't get out of work till 5. I highly recommend. read more

I was on my way back home to Chicago from Detroit when I noticed something up with my driver's side rear tire. I pulled into a gas station in Benton Harbor and noticed the pin on my tire was messed up and it was almost flat. It was 7:30 pm and I panicked. I googled what was around and saw that Belle Tire was closing in 30 min. I called and they said don't worry, bring it in. Jim and his guys were kind, quick and fixed my tire in no time! Otherwise, without CAA or anything, I would have been screwed. Thank you so much guys for helping me out. And they didn't even charge me!!!! These guys are angels =) Good people do exist!!! What an awful and expensive experience! We had one ruined tire and a brand new spare, so we decided to purchase 3 new tires, put spare on & use one of the original good tires for our complete on the car set. The used tire would then become our good spare. However, the Belle Tire guy put the ruined tire under our car as our spare and threw our good tire away! Unbelievable! Of course, we did not know this until the following week when our tire sensor alerted us that we had a low tire. My husband checked all four tires & pressure was good. Since the Belle Tire idiot had put our spare on incorrectly, my husband could not check the pressure. We were due for service, so we had our garage check the tire, and that was when my husband recognized the ruined tire had been put in as our spare! Please beware of this place. The workers are not adequately trained and service is below par. My husband filed a complete complaint detailing the issues, and the manager just said, "Tell me again what is your problem." Jenn, my husband contacted the manager twice & was ignored. This was more than an "inconvenience." This was a $270.00 avoidable mistake. Belle Tire in Benton Harbor knows about this and has offered no resolution. read more

Two weeks to get an appointment, two hours of waiting in the lobby while they figured out they didn't have the tires they needed. On the way back home they low air pressure light tuned on. Another day to come in and get them put on. Great cheap tires if you are willing to go through horrible customer service. Go somewhere else! Not friendly is an understatement. Guess they thought I was stupid because I'm a woman. Went in for a simple tire pressure sensor. Knew which one as had just had a me Jamie run a scan for the code. Code said left front. So that's what I told them. Now hours later 1 of 4 sensors will scan and never the same tire. Tried to tell me when one goes they all go together. Told him that wasn't going to work since 2 on back had just been replaced a couple months ago. Told them since they hadn't fixed it, put the old one back on so I could go somewhere that can fix it. Senior light won't go out and sensor won't read. First told me the new sensor was on left side, then right then left again. But if I told them the left side and they put on left side. Came in and told me it was reading right side so they were changing to right. Then when won't work they try to say the only one that is reading is the new one. Well the new one is on the right NOT the left. Old one in and I'm leaving. These people have no clue what they are doing! read more

Do I even have to leave 1 star? We took my girlfriends car in for new tires and an alignment. On her way home she calls me to say that she can feel her wheel shaking. I took the car for a drive myself and sure enough, after a short while, I could hear what sounded like rubbing in the wheel well on the front driver side. I stopped the car to check the lugs and was able to spin each one with my thumb and pointer finger. The rest of the tires had about half a turn left. I understand that people make mistakes, but that is a mistake you just cannot make. read more

Called for an appointment and got an estimate from Gene. Dropped off car a few mins early and got right in, however, I asked for Gene since he is the one I spoke to on the phone. He acted like he was to busy to talk to me and actually told the other guy that he was trying to go to lunch. Simply took my name and keys and walked away leaving us standing in the lobby. I had some other things I wanted checked out. Wife and I walked to a couple shops and we're gone for about 1.5 hours and couldn't believe that we hadn't heard anything about our car being finished so we went back to find it had been done for a while. No phone call. Gene was not there when we picked up but the guy that helped us also was not friendly and just wanted our money and to get us out the door. No discussion aon what they were supposed to chech out (i.e. alignment, rear tire wear, etc). Price was as quoted and in line with other shops in the area (I guess that is the only positive of our experience). Not good customer service. Questionable of I will return, I would have to base that decision on the sales person at that time. No complaints about quality of work yet. read more

i went there the other day coz i had my check engine on,so they asked for 70$ to inspect the car after the inspection they said you have to change this part i don't know the name exactly coz i'm not in cars. Anyway,after they change the part they said everything is ok and they charge me 200$,but the problem wasn't fixed and when i tried to ask him why the light is still on? he said"oh u had many problems and we just fix one of them and if u want i will give you an estimate with the rest!!!! When Belle tire replaced my tires, they checked my brakes. I was told that they were fine. This made me happy because I didn't have to buy new brakes and they could have lied and charged me for new ones. I would have never known. Also, when my tire blew, they didn't have my size tire. I was going out of town for the weekend, so they rented a car for me! Great customer service!!! read more

Ordered tires, got them in quickly, installed same day. Very efficient operation. The service area was a bit messy. Maybe don't put in big windows if you aren't going to keep it clean. It didn't affect the service, but I'm sure some will be put off by it. read more

Greg took great care of me. I had purchased a full set of tires one year earlier from Belle Tire that was rated for 50k miles. The rear tires had cupped and were making very loud road noise, after running them about 25k miles. Due to the abnormal wear at about half the mileage for which they were rated, they replaced both rear tires at just less than half price. New tires and alignment and I was on my way. This shop will literally get you killed and admit it by the manager without remorse. Belle Tire 2005 M-139, Benton Harbor, MI 49022. Went in for UBER inspection (this year jan 2019), they said I needed outer left tie rod end. 1 Year 2018 ago they stated i needed to replace all tie rods in front. Just bought vehicle used and it was inspected and passed prior to entering Belle. Went down street and had parts replaced at half their price, all tie rods and ends. So from the jan 2019 inspection fail I replaced tie rod end on left, I knew before going that I had little to no front brakes and replaced rear two days before gong in. I thought if I pass I would replace front brakes I already purchased. The brake calipers were corroded and hard to remove the bolts so I thought I would wait if I passed inspection. SO I returned 1 month after first inspection with replaced tie rod end. To pass inspection Note that the inspection jan 2019 document shows my brake pads in front as 3mm (minimum passing) and the rear pads were marked as 3mm as well. (NOT POSSIBLE REAR PADS WERE TWO DAYS OLD. Now the second inspection of the tie rod end replacement came back failed and they said I needed inside tie rod and maybe the other side. I told them I am not stupid that tie rods DO NOT wear out in one year. They stated that I bought DEFECTIVE PARTS and also once again this latest inspection passed my brakes which where metal on metal on one side front. SO they ejected me from the store and I went to watch my vehicle thru the glass bay doors. THe woman cashier who lost her job across the street once again harassed me and came outside and stated/ordered me to stand at the the business entrance and stated I was not allowed to watch their mechanics work on my vehicle. When I left Belle Tire within one block my alternator light went on. I then had to find money for alternator and replaced it saturday, two days after last Belle Tire Visit. When I went to remove tire, right front to replace alternator and brake pads I discovered Belle Tire put a locking lug nut on my right front tire. I have done alot of wheel work (rotate/brakes) on the vehicle and it NEVER had locking lug nut. Now I am unable to repair a flat tire or my brakes and get stranded who knows where. I then called the Business and talked to the manager in a recorded conversation and he stated that this all happened because I was rude to his cashier and refused to repair the situation and replacement of foreign components on my vehicle to witch would cause me problems and even possible catastrophic brake failure and death. Well I called Mark at corporate and he verified my documents and statements (all recorded) and stated this was serious on many counts and the documents show this. He said he would send me to south bend belle to make everything better. He said he would reply by the end of the day. THis Mark at corporate refuses to return or accept call for days. Must have talked to his lawyers. NOW BBB in my town refuses to handle the situation because they state BBB that the jurisdiction of the BBB that services the complaint IS NOT THE BBB IN YOUR TOWN but the BBB WHERE THE CORPORATE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS!!!!! THe BBB does not list this location in Benton Harbor as existing. I have lost a week of work........ and now even the BBB is helping the Masonic invested tire company... pure corruption. Apparently after speaking with LARA, DOT Belle Tire has no certificate from the state to inspect vehicles... since they are not a commercial vehicle repair. read more

I just spent over $1000 on tires at Belle Tire and it was the worst customer service experience buying tires I've ever had. I spent the better part of two full days (four trips total) waiting for them to fix the tire sensors they damaged when they pulled off my old tires. On my fourth trip back (another 4 hour wait), they asked me to pay for the tire sensors they ruined? I can't tell you how upsetting for both a worker and a manager to ask me to pay to fix their mistake. So damage my car and ask me to pay? Ethical business people don't do business this way. These guys were great. My wife's car suffered blowout of both right tires on the highway. They are runflats, so we got to Belle Tire safely. The punctures were big, and the tire sidewalls were pretty shredded internally, so we needed two new tires. Because we bought the tires just over 60 days before at a different Belle Tire, they replaced/ mounted two new tires for just $74, even though I did NOT buy the tire insurance package. They had to send a guy about 40 miles and back to fetch matching tires from another location, and I was on my way. Very happy. (While I sat there, I heard a service guy come out and explain to an older woman that the "emergency" suspension repairs recommended by some other garage were NOT necessary, and she can just monitor and she'll be fine. She was glad she followed her son's advice to get a second opinion from Belle Tire. So I think these guys rightly have a good reputation in town.) read more
