I live in California and my son lives in Chicago. This week he had a tire get cut with a piece of metal on the road. It was not repairable . After leaving messages for another company who never got back to me I found this shop. Thanks to Ali I was able to help my son from so far away. David seemed like a nice guy at first, but we have had no luck getting any communication back regarding when we can get our car. We've called and texted multiple times, and stopped by the shop during business and there is never anyone there. At this point we have no idea if and when we can get our car back. ABSOLUTE SCAM - BUYER BEWARE Do not use them under any circumstance. They sold me two tires last night. I woke up this morning and one was completely flat and the other was run down. I came in to replace one tire and the basically put a second tire on and doesn't give me any other option. After multiple calls they started to ignore my number and will not respond. I specially told them I was leaving for a 10 hour road trip tomorrow night and they screwed me and will do the same for you. These guys will steal your money and your time. Please avoid at all costs. They were the only place nearby open at 8pm in 10 degree weather when we had a flat tire. No one else waiting when we arrived and had a new tire put on super quickly and at a reasonable price. So thankful! read more

It's Friday night, 8:15, and we've got a car full of passengers when the front tire blows. We're stranded on a busy intersection just far enough from any repair shop that a tow service will both take long enough that the shop will be closed, and cost an arm and a leg. Finally and fortunately, we call Chicago Tire & Service who say they'll stay open and wait for us to get there. We hobble our sorry donut on the Mercedes to them (20 Minutes for 3 miles) where David and his lovely girlfriend welcome us into their shop, and within literally 10 Minutes our wheel was mounted, perfectly aligned, and balanced. I cannot speak highly enough for the warm customer service, above and beyond repairs, and expert diagnosis of the car's issue. This place is great. It's annoying to face the fact that you have to deal with taking your car in to change your tires. This place makes it so easy and convenient. They just sold my wife a used tire for $80. They didn't give her the price when checking and just put it on and then they tried telling her it was new. When she told them to take it off, they gave excuses. The tread on there is almost gone. Don't trust these people. Go to the ones one Austin and Grand, Amigo or the one on the corner. read more

BEST BEST BEST tire shop in Chicago! Coming home from Oak Park to Andersonville and my BMW run flat tire side wall blows. Call BMW for a tow, wait 3 hours but it never shows up. After 3 hours of frustration I call Chicago Tire 1 block away. They had my exact Bridgestone tire in stock at a price I could not believe. I pull in to the shop and Patrick immediately had my car jacked up and tire changed and alignment done in 15 minutes. YES, 15 minutes! Again, I'm shocked at how low the price quoted over the phone was,I'm thinking some hidden fee. NO HIDDEN fee Dave charged me the exact amount quoted over phone. They are 50% cheaper then BMW and 35% cheaper then Costso, Walmart, Pep Boys, discount tires etc.. Trust me I checked and could not believe it. Dave and Patrick are a pleasure to deal with that I'm spreading the word to family and friends in City and Suburbs to go to Chicago Tire it's Friendly, fast and affordable with a great selection! This place is a scam! Stay away from this place!!! I purchased a spare rim/tire ($200 + $25 tip) for my truck almost a year ago and when I got a flat, it didn't fit. So I took it back and David was suppose to order me the original rim/tire but NEVER got back to me and when I would call some lady would tell me he was busy EVERY time I called. She would use every excuse in the book just not to put him on....he's under a car, he's busy, he worked until 1am so he's tired. That left me stuck with no rim/tire and no call from them. I also lost out on $225 so this is why I would NEVER go back nor recommend this place to anyone. They are unprofessional, unorganized, and the place is a mess. read more

I've been here a few times for various tire repairs and each time they have been more than amazing. They are quick and do a really great job. There is a comfortable waiting area even though I was only there for a short period since they were so quick!! They are very professional, kind, and work with integrity and honesty. Me and my family stopped in Chicago on our way to our next duty station. We need tires asap, so we called to check to see if the tires we needed was there and to our surprise they had them. The customer service was awesome from the young lady that answered the phone to the mechanic that installed the tires everyone was extremely professional. They even stayed open later then their usual business hours to help us. If we're ever in the Chicago area again and need anything for our vehicle this is the place we're going to. read more

I should have written this a few weeks ago but was busy... I went to this place in June 2016 after the dealership told me I had a nail that was illegal for them to fix because of where it was located. They tried to sell me 4 new tires because my tires were almost wasted mind you on a 2012 with only approx 18,500 miles on it. I went to Chicago Tire because many years ago I had gone there with someone and I liked their service. They looked at the tire and it was fixable plus they showed me where the nail was. My tires are good by the way and Chicago Tire checked the air on them which surprised us that they were filled to 41. That was ILLEGAL! So guys keep up the good work even when you see single ladies walk in and continue to make them feel comfortable. I have told people about you. Honesty and integrity will take you further than trying to make a quick dollar. I said thank you before and I say THANK YOU again! read more

I literally just popped a tire on my way home and they got me a used tire and fixed my rim with no problem, the price was affordable and QUICK! plus the two guys working in the office were really nice. I'd gladly go there again if I ever had any tire issues in the future. Five stars! read more

I want to say that I received quick and great service when my tire blew out from running over a pothole. However, everything after the fact has sucked. I filed a claim for pothole damage and it's on hold from February this year (it's not almost June) because these guys don't answer their phones, return voicemails, respond to emails or Facebook messages, or even text messages. All I need is a copy of my Invoice from the day of the incident and they can't take the 2 minutes to call me back and send it to me? I even left a fax number on a voicemail and it would take 10 seconds to simply fax it to that number, but God forbid they provide that type of service. If you're in a pickle and need 24 hour service, sure call these guys, but don't expect great service if you need anything after the fact. read more

Today, around 7:45 pm I got home with a tire almost flat. I google tire service hopping to find something open. I found this tire service company that closes at 8 pm; and I call them to see if they can wait for me around 10 minutes. I explained that I had to go to work the next morning at 5:50 AM. The guy told me he will make an exception and I got there at 8:06 PM. I was so happy when Patrick fixed my tire in 10 minutes and did not charge me extra money for that. His service was excellent, cheap and fast. They made my day! I will strongly recommend this place. read more

After my wife took our car to this shop to have a repair done on a flat tire, the very same tire was flat again one hour later. She was in a different part of the city, and near a tire shop where she had a new tire put on. I later called Chicago Tire Service and explained the situation and was told they could refund the money for the original patch job "I guess". However, when I arrived at the shop they changed their minds and wouldn't refund the money without seeing the original tire. Of course, we no longer had the original tire (since we were forced to buy a NEW one and hour after it was "fixed"!). I was flippantly told, "well you're going to have to go get it." I personally feel like this is ridiculous, and terrible business practice. It was not a large amount of money for Chicago Tire Service to refund and do what I consider to be ethical. I had the receipt for the service they did and the receipt for the much larger sum spent on a new tire an hour later, but they had zero interest in refunding the money for the patch work that failed. read more

Do not take your vehicle here! We stopped in last night to get 1 tire replaced. They convinced us we needed 2, and offered used and new tires. We asked their expert opinion, and they said the tread on the used tires would offer a better match to our 2 current tires. Drove away and within 60 seconds the Low Tire Pressure light came on, but they had already closed for the day. We brought it into another mechanic, turns out they sold us 2 used tires that had HALF of the tread that our old tires had. Not only that, one of the used tires was rendered unusable. I've tried calling the shop 3 times over the past 3 hours, and have received no response. We were completely scammed and taken advantage of, which is really sad especially since we told them we had a 10 hour drive ahead of us. read more

I called to see if they were able to install a new tire for me, most places would have said come tomorrow morning, but David told me to bring it on over and he'll get it done asap. Worst service ever. I went to get one tire and ended up getting a set of used tires at what I thought was a good deal. Unfortunately it was not. I went in on Feburary 20 and not only is this placed run by one guy Dave, I left with 3+1 tire. What I mean is ,it was not a set. I got three of one tire and one of another brand. Also tires were put on backward or the wrong side of the vehicle. It was so hard to get back in touch with the shop after my wife noticed that the car was making a noise. I finally got back in touch and explained the noise and that one of the tires was wrong. All I got was a waiting period. I was told by Dave that he would take care of me and find the other tire or get me a different set. I have been waiting ever since. I was offered another set 2 weeks after at a higher price which I refused because it was not my fault they missed places one tire. On top of this issue the owner which is Dave mother is never in the shop and calls are transferred from the shop to her house. The owner is the worst, does not have any type of customer service what so ever, she has hung up on me and has been no help at all. I've been getting the run around and promises of tire which they have not kept. All my wife and I hear is they forgot or there busy. Well I need my tires. It is now towards the end of March with no response from this place and calls have been made and messages have been left with no solution. I stopped trying to go up there because it is a waste of time, apparently this is a 24 hr service that sometimes they are not open when there supposed to, because like I said this shop is only run by Dave he is the only person there and has to run the counter and the shop. This place is unorganized with there being tires just everywhere in the shop. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. read more
