I read the reviews and they were mixed before I came here so I wasn't sure what to expect price/service wise. I knew something was going on with my car and I had a few ideas but needed to get it checked out. I talked to Chris when I arrived and after lifting my car up, It was pointed out that I needed to get two new wheel bearings and new tires. I pretty much figured that's what was going on, and they were really nice about showing and explaining what was going on. I had an idea what it would cost before I came in based off the thought I needed wheel bearings but was hoping I didn't. They helped me out price wise, and it took around 1.5 hours. I got here about 1:30 on a Friday and it wasn't as busy, but when i left it was a full house. I appreciate the service, it was great start to finish and my Ford Flex is back to riding like a dream. Set an appointment for 9am for an alignment three days in advance. Showed up 20 minutes early and somehow they already has two vehicles in fro of me. They said it was going to be 2.5 hours be for they even pulled my vehicle in. I asked the guy at the counter what did i set an appointment for and he just shrugged his shoulders. Talked to the manager and he gave me some BS on if i go to the eye doctor it could be three hours after my appointment i got seen. One, don't offer appointments if your not going to honor them. Two, get a new eye doctor if thats the case. Three, a persons time is valuable don't be McDonalds and only focus on drive thru when you have people that made appointments. Four, this is really the most important don't treat your customers like they are stupid some of us rebuild vehicles and know what required to do a job we're not all ignorant about vehicles. The guy on the phone was a dick head as well. Going somewhere else, maybe. I already have it close enough just wanted them to fine tune the toe on the outer tie rods after I had already replaced the lower control arms, sway bar links and inner/outer tie rods. Would have taken longer to connect/disconnect the equipment then it would to crack two nuts and spin two inner tie rods 2-3 times and tighten the nuts back down. Belle Tire always tries to scare people into buying extra crap. I repair all my vehicles i just don't have an alignment rack. Find somewhere else for auto repairs and if you just need tires go to discount. Have a nice day. read more

They put the wrong lug nut on one of my tires, if it had popped I would have been stranded without being able to get the tire off to put on the donut. Didn't mention a single thing to me about it, found out when I was replacing my rotors at home. Double check whatever work they do to your car before you head out. read more

Came in for a wheel alignment covered by warranty. I was told that it should take 2 to 3 hours. Its been 4 hours and im still sitting without an update. Multiple cars came in and were taken before my car. 9am-2pm and my car has not been taken to the back. When I inquire, they tell me i am next and 3 cars got to the back with mine still sitting there. The worst experience i have ever had at a Belle Tire. I should have went to my original Belle Tire on Woodward. Way better customer service and respect for a customer's time read more

I needed new tires before a road trip and these guys had everything taken care of in just over 2 hours. I called the night before and was able to get the tires I needed put on hold and confirmed the earliest appointment I could get. They didn't push any up-charges but encouraged the tire protection plan based off of the frequency that I drive. The store manager had to deal with a difficult customer over the phone and he handled the conversation with incredible professionalism. Based off of his answers the customer was raising their voice and calling him names, but the manager stayed calm and got back to assisting in-person customers after he hung up. I typically use the bell tire on 23 and VanDyke and have had wonderful service there. However, when they could not fit me in late notice I figured the belle tire down the road would be fine too. I was wrong. I received possibly the worst (and strangest) auto "service" experience of my life. I recently purchased a car from a family member that needed a laundry list of minor things checked out. Nothing major, just simple things like an alignment, air conditioning leak test and recharge, investigate a clunking noise in the rear, radiator leak inspection, tire mounting and re-balancing. Mostly stuff I don't have the equipment or time to do myself. To be clear, the car runs fine, but just needed a little TLC. So out of the entire list of MINOR maintenance things, what did belle tire do? They performed a full recharge on my AC with a leak in the compressor. The end. In other words, they didn't FEEL like doing most of the minor things on the list so they simply didn't do them. Instead, they dumped an entire batch of Freon through a broken system and charged me $180 for it. Could they have run a little dye through, found the leak and stopped there? Sure could have! But no, they'd rather charge me the full $180 and spew Freon into the atmosphere. Did they do the alignment? No. Did they investigate the clunking? No (told me it was too much work). Did they mount and rebalance my tires? No (they refused and tried to sell me some of their tires). Did they check my radiator for leaks? No (no explanation). Maybe the guy I was dealing with was a tire salesman moonlighting as a mechanic? I know as a business it's hard to find skilled or even competent tradesman but I'm pretty sure this guy is quiet quitting. Do yourself a favor and go to the belle tire on 23 and vandyke. read more

My experience with Belle Tire on Van Dyke in Sterling Heights has always been excellent. Between my husband and I, we usually take one of our vehicles there a couple times each year. They are always professional & curious to us. They have done a variety of work on our vehicles. Always a fair price and always without waiting forever to get it done. I was there today, for control arm concern plus a few related items. DAVE , at the front counter, had a technician check my concerns out. I brought my car in yesterday for some repairs to be done in the front and had my car back in 4 hours was pretty happy about that no gonna lie, total was $2640.00. Now I thought the price was high because they did a lot of things in the front and didn't bother to check the receipt till the next day, turns out I was charged $1000.00 in labor alone for a 4 hour job, I called and asked what there labor price was and they told me $100.00 an hour so I proceeded to ask how was my labor $1000.00 for 4 hours at $100.00 an hour and he tells me it's because they were slow and had 2 guys working on my car, I don't understand how it's my fault they were slow so they put 2 people on my car shouldn't mean I get doubled labor, and on top of that they charged me for a alignment and a warranty for it when I got that done a week prior, luckily I was refunded for the alignment and the warranty but they never asked if I even wanted that they just put it in my bill even though I did that a week before but still this place is a rip off they charged me an extra $500.00 in labor. Scum bags stole my change & my tools out of my van. On top of that gave me two massive estimates for service I don't need. $800+ for breaks when they are not needed. I just did breaks last year & $800+ for front end work on a truck that is tight & straight. I confirmed it myself & through a reputable shop. On top of all that!! I took my truck to bell tire for a vibration issue and had nothing but problems. One of these sales associates told me that 1 of the bosses recently left and that their staff was green. Do not take your vehicle to belle Tire at 17 mile/Vandyke store numbers 013. While doing one of the simplest jobs removing tires and balancing tires they dented and scratched my Chrome rims. On top of that they failed to torque down one of my wheels on my Daully truck and therefore bent the rim. They are currently trying to work with me but I'm completely unsatisfied is with what they are doing to rectify the situation. Just do yourselves a favor and stay away from that store. read more

Took my car in for an alignment and was told other parts needed to be replaced. I thought this was a bit odd considering I had recently installed those parts myself. But, just to be sure I installed everything correctly, as I am not a mechanic by trade, I took my car to a family member's shop to be looked over. Sure enough no issues. This is the second time something of this nature has happened at this location, though I figured the first time may have been a one-off. The prices are good. The quality of tire is great. They can get the work done in a reasonable time frame. Especially compared to the dealerships on all these points. There are some drawbacks too. Some big service ones. They are bad about communicating in a timely manner when they have your car. They tend to say things that are unprofessional and I have felt that I've been treated differently than my husband get treated there. They are aggressive, abrupt, don't give much information. At our last visit, I had a free tire rotation and they repaired a tire for free. The guy tried to sell us other services with a "unless you plan on getting rid of your car" omen. Seriously, dude? We've been to this location several times. I really do like the Bell Tire quality but the customer service at this location is very lacking. From now on, I'll be going up to Hall Road in Macomb Township where the service is stellar. read more

The very best tire prices in metro Detroit. However when it comes to mechanical problems I think you are better off going to a dealer who has good reviews. My GMC truck ran worse after a visit to this particular location. At least they waived the charges. The Chevy dealer a few blocks south did fix the problem. Again, tires yes. I was the first one in the door at 8am. I showed the man behind the counter the tired the website said they had in stock but they did not in fact. I asked for the next step up which actually was the 5th step up as he showed me his screen but I was willing to pay more. I asked how long it would take as I would be going to work straight after but was told maybe they could in the afternoon. This confused me since I was the only one there and there were 5 men in the office standing around drinking coffee. Arrived at 8:02 to have two tires replaced (which is what I explained when I checked in) and was told 2 hour wait because it was a busy morning. They open at 8. Got a call 90 minutes later explaining I needed to replace two tires... Duh. I was only offered one product which I was not interested in and had to inquire about better product and pricing. I was told it would be done in 30 minutes and an hour later I'm still waiting. I have taken my car to other Belle Tire locations received quicker service and better pricing.
