The spa itself was modern, bright, and clean, while the massage room was quiet, dim, and welcoming. The work Megan did on my neck and shoulders gave me relief and a range of motion I didn't believe was possible. She possesses incredible knowledge, intuition, and application of technique. Her draping was textbook perfect, and I felt super relaxed just 5 minutes into the session. She is truly amazing! I had a GC for a therapeutic massage, so that's why I went. The GC was almost 2 years old, but…read morethey honored it without a blink of an eye, so I was happy. I've been there twice now for massages. I wanted to make sure I went more than once before I gave a review. I found the vibe to be "stuffy", not "calming" when I entered. The gentleman at the desk is abrupt and business-minded - not warm or inviting. I wasn't immediately acknowledged or greeted when I arrived, and when I was acknowledged it was transactional. I had Jamie for my therapeutic massage. She was welcoming and nice and asked some initial questions about pressure preferences, any pain points, areas I would like concentrated on or avoided. I made me feel comfortable. The room was calming, with muted lights and soft music. Very soothing. When Jamie started, she checked with me to make sure the pressure was good - would I like more or less, etc., but she wasn't overly chatty, which I liked. It was an hour massage and Jamie did not skimp at all. I was very pleased. When I returned to the desk after the massage, the gentleman just told me I was all set. He didn't ask if I enjoyed the massage and didn't ask if I would like to schedule another. I had to ask if I could book another massage with Jamie. It felt like I was bothering or interrupting him. I booked another massage in a month. I was surprised that I continued to feel better for many days post-massage. I didn't expect the effects to last as long as they did. It was definitely worth the time and price.

I had to straight out tell her 'you need to fix this' and when she did it was still choppy but it was to the point she's cutting my hair too short and im giving up. This salon is overpriced and I paid $80 dollars for a quick wash, blowout and hair trim of not even 3 inches.

I really wanted to love this place. A friend of mine recommended this place and her stylist,…read moreShannon, and since my "usual" salon is about 45 minutes away, I decided to attempt to find a nearby salon. Shannon was perfectly friendly and nice. I liked talking with her and...well, like I said, I really wanted to love this place. I really wanted to love Shannon! And I feel badly writing this review, but I have to be honest. First: The air conditioning was broken and it was a hot summer day. The windows were open and the ceiling fans were on, but it was so uncomfortable. I was paying $100+ to be pampered--sweating it out in a stylists chair had not been what I had in mind. Next, Shannon and I had trouble agreeing on a shade of hair dye because the samples she showed me were on super shiny, synthetic hair that reflected under the lights. I couldn't possibly get a good idea of what the color was because I couldn't really SEE it. I took the swatches from her and tried to angle them to see them better, but it didn't work. I almost asked if I could take them outside (the lighting in there is VERY harsh) but I felt like I would have looked silly, so I didn't. I wish I had. I finally told her I wanted a "vibrant" but not "clownish" red. I brought in photos of Christina Hendricks and Karen Gillam for reference. The biggest problem happened next. Shannon mixed the dye (and stripper, since I was going lighter) and applied it to my roots first. This might be okay if you're going darker with your hair--but I was going lighter, and roots ALWAYS lighten the easiest, within a few minutes. You're always, always, always supposed to dye the roots last if you're "lifting' color. When she washed the color out after 30-40 minutes, it was completely uneven. My roots were day-glo orange (clownish!), while the rest of my hair was a more reasonable red. She told me two things: 1) That the indoor lighting here was too harsh, it didn't really look as bad in real life as it did in the mirror and 2) that it would gradually fade after I washed it a bunch of times. I had asked for the dead ends to be cut off, and a side bang and some long layers added. I had told her I was a little nervous about the layers, but that if she thought the photo I had brought in would look good and flatter my face, that I would trust her. She said she thought it would look good. Then she unceremoniously cut a chunk of hair over my left eyebrow (not a nicely shaped, angled bang like I had had in mind--I could have done a hack job at home if I had wanted that!) and cut off the dead ends, but then she blew my hair dry and said "all done". (Afterwards, my friend agreed that she didn't think she had cut any layers. It took me two months to find a "layer" in my hair. One layer. Definitely not the photo I had brought in--like she just decided not to do layers without even getting my approval.) I liked Shannon and I had gone in to Heads Up with every intention of making her my new go-to stylist. Instead, I paid over $100 for a halo of orange hair and a not-very-good haircut. Not happy. Also important to note: When I sat down with her she asked if I had any dye in my hair. I told her that I had last used henna three months ago. At this point, she should have turned me away, but didn't. (Henna, when dyed over, has terrible chemical reactions--everything from color changes (green, blue!) and oily reactions. I'm experiencing the oily reaction at this point.)

It looks like they want to lock out their neighborhood customers and limit it to only Bikes they sold them. I had the need for a new brake pad to be installed and was told they didn't touch any other bikes unless they sold them into their shop. They told me 1) too heavy (although I have had them service it 2x before), that they didn't want to get into a job and have it cost 7-10X of the cost and have me not pay. I even offered to have them call me before proceeding or even sign a hold harmless agreement but it boils down to they want to squeeze out any brands they didn't sell. The person was apologetic for this position and said if I got stuck to call him back and he would try but no promises. That sent me down the street to another place. Bottom line is I took it to another place in Vernon (Pedal Power) and they did it fast plus a tune up for 99 dollars.. Steve at Pedal Power is wonderful if you are in the same bind with Lectric e-bikes needing a fix - even a flat tire. I would buy anything in the future from them because they see business as a long term relationship. I was very disappointed with the 2 Glastonbury bike shops. I will post the details of their service (the other 2 that turned me down). One on Main Street I gave 2 stars because I feel that they at least they may have helped me but I don't want to beg for someone to service a very easy install that took 30 min. Thankfully, there are companies like pedal Power, that will be around longer than these mom and Pop shops that just want a quick buck. For them, I would just suggest give me a price that says I don't really want to do the work and at least it's my choice but they wouldn't even do that. Again shout out to Steve at Pedal power in Vernon.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I won't be giving this shop my business again…read more This started back in Fall 2024 when I brought my bike in for a full tune-up. It came back looking great, tight brakes, true wheels, smooth shifting. I was happy to pay the $185. I stored it for the winter and looked forward to riding it in the spring. When I pulled it out in the spring, the rear tire was flat. I wasn't sure how it happened since I hadn't even ridden it, but with a big bike trip planned in July, I wanted it fixed. Visit 1: In June I brought it in for a tube replacement. I paid $24 for a new tube and labor. The staff, mostly younger employees, were joking around and not fully focused. I overheard one say they nearly blew the tire by leaving it hooked up to the electric pump too long. By the time I got home, the tire was flat again. Visit 2: I returned a few days later. They said the tire liner was the issue, so I paid another $24 for a new liner, another tube, and labor. Again, they nearly overinflated the tire -- one employee even joked, "That was a close one." Once again, the tire was flat when I got home. Visit 3: This time, they said the liner had shifted and exposed a spoke, which punctured the tube. I offered to just buy a new wheel, but they said it wasn't necessary and they could fix it. I left the bike overnight and told them I'd only pick it up if the tire held air. The next day, it didn't. They did more work, sanding spokes, and eventually got it to hold air. But when I picked it up, the wheel was no longer true and rubbed against the brakes -- and I still hadn't ridden the bike once since I got the full tune up in the fall. At this point, I was frustrated. I told them to just put on a new wheel -- but I wasn't paying full price since the damage clearly happened in their shop. I'd already spent over $200 and still didn't have a rideable bike. Visit 4: The day before my trip I paid $91 for a new wheel and labor and took the bike home. The next day, while loading it onto my car rack, I saw that now, the front tire was flat. So either they swapped the faulty rear tire to the front out of spite for me asking for a discount, or they made the same overinflation mistake again. I cannot trust this shop to do basic repairs. After spending over $300, the bike was never rideable and I had to borrow a bike for my trip. I'll be taking it elsewhere to fix the front tire. I'd strongly recommend finding a more professional, reliable bike shop.
