I was a little nervous my first time at this salon but from the moment I walked in, the customer service was outstanding! The owner even welcomed me and offered me a beverage. Since my appointment was 8am on a Saturday, I selected coffee; which the owner made while my stylist, Desiree Leon, got me seated and visited with me. She listened to me as I explained that I wanted warm blond highlights, and no ash. Desiree was friendly and efficient. Something I noticed was that the stylists and owner help each other by working together putting in foils, mixing colors, cleaning, etc. The vibe is happy. I have never heard of the product line Lanza. What a fabulous surprise! Everything has wonderful light scents. Unfortunately, I did not realize how great these products are until I left, and have to go back for the keratin shampoo/conditioner and leave in oil. The oil is an absolute must in the AZ heat. My course hair feels like silk. I did not feel any pressure to buy anything, Desiree mearly showed me what she used. I love my color and cut, and look forward to my next visit! However, after washing and letting my hair dry naturally, I noticed really apparent unevenness and choppiness, which I believe is hard to mess up with a simple blunt bob, but here we are. I called the salon and they offered for me to go back for an adjustment, but I said that if any more adjustments were to be made, it'd end up being way too short for me, so I declined. Also, I have a hard time trusting that they won't mess up my hair even more. Also, very aggressive sale tactics. I get that it's slow season and the hair stylist is newer, but pushing customers to purchase more products and services, and asking them to give you a review while they're still physically in the chair, was definitely a little too pushy. Let me clarify: 1. They weren't simply recommending what products they felt was best for my hair, they grabbed three products, took me to the front desk, and left them at the register before I could even get a word in. 2. Asking for a review: yes, it helps building clientele. But my hair stylist asked me to pull out my phone to scan the QR code and leave a review while she was dry blowing my hair. It made me feel uncomfortable and less inclined to do so. Last but not least, the owner's response and communication skill was subpar. For a business owner, saying anything along the lines of "I'm sorry YOU feel that way" instead of acknowledging and being accountable for their shortcomings, is such red flag and it's giving: gaslighting. For the people who have read my review and made it this far: Everyone's experience is different, I hope yours is better than mine, but I know I won't be coming back or recommend anyone I know to this business.
