Melanie is amazing!! I cannot emphasize that enough. She is so nice, understanding, and down to earth. I got plasma fibroblast done on my upper and lower eyes and her experience is evident. She wanted the experience to be relaxing, and when she saw my eyes opened, offered to put a towel over them so I could get the most relaxing experience possible. She likes using products that are more naturally-based than chemical. Even gave me some tips on things to use from my kitchen to use to cleanse or moisturize. I even went through the things I use currently at home & she told me the pros and cons of each product. My wife recently went to go from a long hair style to a short style and although I was skeptical at first I couldn't have been happier! She looks great and the staff was friendly, accommodating and went out their way to make her feel comfortable. My wife hasn't had a regular stylist for some time since we moved from Oregon and she was afraid to let just anyone style her hair. Her stylist not only did a great job but she also showed what to do to get that certain look that it seems only a stylist can do. She also said "If you go home and notice something you need changed or fixed just let me know and I'll get you back in free of charge" That's professionalism! The nails they've done for her were great too! She never had gel nails before and now that's all she will get. They lasted so long and maintained their look. One of the best things about the pedicure was they changed the plastic liner for the foot bath. They didn't just change the water like these other places, they actually have disposable plastic liners that made it the most sanitary we've ever seen!!! I know this because I went with my wife as a surprise and watched her get a pedicure. And yes I just hung out there... I heard about this place from a friend and was apprehensive to go to a stylist I had never met before especially because what I wanted was such a huge challenging change. Lucky for me Paula was on the job! Throughout the entire process she asked me what I wanted and actually listened to what I said, she gave me a cut, lighten, and color along with lip and brow wax. She is so incredibly talented and made of sugar she was so warm and inviting and treated me as if we were long time friends. Also when she does a pedicure with callus removal she uses a solution on the feet to soften the calluses and make some very easy to file off. I had an appointment to get my hair cut last Thursday. I was new to the Salon and my appointment was with Diane. I showed her the picture of the cut I wanted (short with layers) and she asked me if I wanted to look old. I was totally taken off guard but since she was the professional I trusted her and let her do what she wanted, which was a trim and she scrunched it. I've been wanting to cut my hair for over a month and was excited to get it done but I left and I even left her a very generous tip. When I got in my car I thought - what just happened in there?? If she was unable to do the cut, she should have just told me, not insult me. I am also letting my natural hair grow in and she told me I should get heavy highlights to help with the grow out and I will need the length to cut off the damaged hair. I am disappointed that I let her treat me like that and that I paid for it too. Needless to say I went to another Salon and got the cut I wanted and treated much better. Here is the before and after. I have had some pretty bad experiences with my hair, unfortunately this makes me a HUGE scaredy cat when it comes salons. I have finally found a place that makes me comfortable and is affordable. My hair dressers name is Kim, and she is fantastic. She is easy to talk to, and very down to earth. My hair color and my stepdaughters hair color is always exactly what we ask for. Today was my second time at Simply Ravishing but my first time receiving services. I checked the website to see the list of hair stylists and chose Elizabeth. She listened to my wants and needs, looked at my head and hair and we talked about what I wanted in regards to maintenance, style, length, etc. She gave me a very detailed and customized cut (complete with texturizing) and triple-checked the length and layers. My cut can be worn smooth or toussled, she advised me on styling products and styled my hair beautifully for my head shots later that day. I do not accept anything but the best in service when I pay good money for pedicures, manicures, etc. It has been very difficult to find good service these days. People can be very nice and still not do what you ask. I've had rush pedicures with a 1 minute massage, arguing with me when I wanted long nails-they gave me a manicure instead and I returned the following day for LONG nails, the tubs for pedicures are to be scrubbed and set for 15 minutes to sanitize (not found), complaining to me about other customers who they think are "too picky" and want them to "get the __ outta here", using short cuts (pulling nails off rather than soak does irrecoverable damage) and using dremmel to take off polish (seriously?!), when I see they are too busy or near closing I offer to return but stay upon their insistence- then they hurry the job leaving out services and I am left with terrible service with a smile. If the service comes with a 5 minute massage....I want a 5 minute massage. If you become busy after I have booked my appointment they can wait or return another time but don't abandon me multiple times to service them.It's a first come first serve, remember? And I don't like to get up and move 5- 6 times to finish or get out of another customers way. If you are too busy tell me what the best time to return would be and I'll check back but by all means DON'T cut out service to fit me in only to rush me through and out the door. The only service I found terrific was in PA- a lady from Vietnam went by the name Kim. I followed her from her beginning shop to her new one and stayed with her for 10 years . She paid attention to me and my son, was very patient and thorough. Had a box with my nail files, etc. so there was no sharing. We grew close and shared her wonderful moment of getting married, her family visiting, she adored my son Carrington and spoiled him. I miss her. Here in AZ I went online and found Simply Ravishing- I absolutely LOVE their website. Every question I had was answered on their site. I have yet to see anyone else have employee profiles so you know who you'll fit best with before you go. Missy is my nail specialist and she is a doll. She listens, takes time to find out what I want and consults me. Best of all, she knows about the health of nails so she doesn't use the dremmel like other salons using it to get you in and out faster-money hungry is what I call them. She really looks at the nail to make sure they are even and perfect. I look forward to doing more business with Simply Ravishing taking in all the services they offer. I had Kristen do a pedicure for me before my feet screamed at me anymore HELP I'm Cracking Up!She had a coworker phone me to tell me she was running behind. That was awesome! and so appreciated. Then, even though I arrived late and Kristen was ready to go she got out her basin and tools and took her time to give me a terrific pedicure. She was patient beyond measure when I realized I left my wallet at home! The massage was excellent and not like any I've had before-she knows massage therapy not the typical pedicure massage you get everywhere else. She knows if somethings hurting you without asking. I am really sorry to have to write this review because my nail technician, Linda, was so nice while I was at the salon. Almost a month ago I went in for a Rock Star Pedicure. I had a birthday trip planned to meet up with some friends and go sightseeing in DC and wine tasting in Virginia and I wanted a no hassle pedi that I wouldn't have to think about on my trip. I wish it would have worked out that way, but instead I got a toe infection that required me to, under doctor's advice, "stay off of my feet" and soak my feet three times a day. Hardly the carefree vacation I had planned. the pedi was cute, but around 24 hours after my pedicure I noticed that my big toe was starting to look red and swollen right along the nail line. I texted Linda with a picture of the obviously infected toe and asked it if it was a normal reaction, and she said it was not, but don't worry. Well, a few hours later my other big toe was starting to look swollen as well, so I called my doctor, who advised me to go to urgent care. The doctor in urgent care stated that both toes were definitely very infected, and that I would have to take an antibiotics course to get rid of the infection. As well as try to stay off of my feet as much as possible. As many of you probably know, you can't drink and take antibiotics at teh same time -- so our wine tasting trip to Virginia was completely ruined. Having to stay off of my feet and soak them three times a day made it difficult to site see as well. I wasn't going to write this review, but I've been very nice with Linda about informing her about the progress, and I feel like she's still blowing it off. When she texted to check on my toes, I told her that it was, in fact, diagnosed as an infection around the nail bed, and that, almost a month later, it still not completely gone. I told her that i had to be on antibiotics for ten days as a result. She responded by asking if the doctor said it was an allergy. Mind you, I had already informed her that I was sure I wasn't allergic to gels (I've had them done before on my hands), plus, if it was an allergy, all of my toes would have become swollen, not just two. I texted her a picture of my toe so she could see the infection for herself. And like I said, the DOCTOR diagnosed it as an infection, pretty conclusive. If I were a business owner, I would have quickly offered to refund the price of the pedicure and tip, at a minimum. Goodness knows that in addition to the cost of the pedicure, I had to pay a $40 copay at the urgent care as a result, plus the $15 copay for the antibiotics I had to take as a result of the pedicure. And my trip to tour DC and wine taste in virginia was drastically impacted by the thrice daily soaking and antibiotics the infection required. Like I said, I didn't want to write this review because Linda was so nice while I was getting the pedi, but after a month of infection and an additional $55 in costs to cure the infection, its just basic customer service to apologize and try to make it up to the client. read more

I'm sorry to have to give this salon such a poor review, but after three attempts to book a spa pedi with Missy, I gave up and called Cosmos Day Salon and Spa even though they are a lot more expensive. On Friday, May 30, I called Missy and left a message to have her call me back. She called me back on Saturday and told me she would be with clients all day. I called anyway and asked her to call me back; she didn't. I called on Monday, April 30 and asked that she call me and to date, she hasn't called me back. I saw good reviews for Missy on Facebook, but after this experience, I won't be calling any longer. I've been going to Cosmos for over a year now and do get a really good spa pedicure there. I did want to try Missy because it sounded like she does a really good job. Evidently she has enough clients because she certainly could have called on Saturday after her clients were gone. I went to this salon a couple of weeks ago, after seeing a deal through their facebook page. I scheduled a massage and facial for both my mom and I. The prices were unbelievable, so I had to find out if the services were as well. We were greeted upon arrival by Terry. She is super friendly and welcoming, so yeah we felt at ease right then and there. I looked around the salon and the enitre satff seemed to be attentive and professional.Shortly after Melanie (aesthetician) and Michelle (LMT) came to meet with my mom and me. They were both so easy to talk to, that I kind of knew right then, that we would not be disappointed. After translating for my mom and brief Q&A session, Michelle took my mom back for her massage and I followed Melanie for my facial. My mom says that Michelle did a wonderful job. She says she made her feel comfortable (this was her first massage) was very patient, and worked out all the knots around her neck and back. I too had a great first time experience, with my facial. Melanie gave me a chocolate mint facial that smelled yummy and felt great! The extractions was the coolest part I think. My mom and I were done almost at around the same time and then we switched rooms. I did have a great massage with Michelle, (mother knows best) and even got some tips on scar care. My mom says she loved her facial too, and that she would like to make these part of her beauty regimen.The next day at school I was getting compliments on my skin, I honestly didn't think people could notice a change just because I did. But they noticed, and whats more important I can feel my skin smoother, no bumps and there is less redmess. *DEAL DETAILS(now expired)-1 hour massage $45, 1 hour chocolate mint facial-$35. Mother and daughter combo= 4 hours of service for $160! You cant beat that. I am glad that we decided to visit this salon, no more trial and error for us. We have found our beauty sanctuary.
