I booked this place via Airbnb, and I am glad we did. I was confused with the low rated reviews here because this place is clean, quiet, and small . It's perfect for the price. We did have a small bizarre issue with a lamp in the room, but management took care of it and made sure our guest experience was great. I love that the rooms have 2 patios, one in front and one in back of the room. Grounds of the place was well maintained and staff was friendly when we initially got there. Let's be clear--the BelleVue Oasis is not a boutique hotel. Maybe better suited is to call it a motel that has aspirations to be something better. Granted, I love that it's an adult only facility and that the pool/hot tub is open 24/7. But really, that's where the pros end. When we entered the room and turned on the light, we saw a couple roaches crawling in the kitchen area. And you know where this is one, there are more. On more than one occasion after that, after returning to the room from being out all day, we'd see another roach, and another, and another. We asked for traps, but it never arrived to the room. We ended up buying our own since we were going to be there for a week. The kitchen, while equipped with some things, was an odd mix of mismatched items. It's like someone went to Goodwill and just grabbed some random cups, flatware, glasses, etc. And there were only two of each item (two cups, two plates, etc.) We like having the option of eating in, but between the roaches and the mismatched kitchen items, it was a challenge. There have been comments about the quality of the towels and I would say they are pretty bad. Some people don't care so much about towels, but for a hotel to have bad towels, that's not good. Also, our room safe didn't work. We informed the hotel, but they didn't do anything. The pool and hot tub were the best things about the Bellevue Oasis in that it was usually empty, so we had it to ourselves. Also, the hotel location is close to grocery stores, downtown Palm Springs, restaurants and bars and the airport. The parking area fronting the hotel does fill up. Often times we got the last space. Carefully look at your options when booking at this property. For a short stay, few days, it *might* be doable (bring roach spray?). But for extending trips, I'd look elsewhere. read more

Chaotic and inconvenient check-in: You drive into a gated alley with six unlabeled parking spots and no visible signage, staff, or front desk. After circling around confused, I had to Google a phone number and call just to get instructions on how to enter. This "self-check-in" process felt awkward, disorganized, and unnecessarily stressful. Photos vs. reality We booked a king bed expecting comfort but got two twin mattresses pushed together, creating an uncomfortable gap in the middle. It felt like sleeping in a hammock, not a bed. Zero privacy in the bathroom: The restroom had a see-through window, offering little to no privacy. I felt exposed and uncomfortable the entire stay, worried that someone could see inside. This place is a DUMP. Check-in is virtual by email and text. They will ask you to take a selfie with your DL. After a 30-45 minute checking in, they gave us an access code. Check in hour is 4 pm. We went inside after 5 pm and the room was dirty and not clean. The cleaning ladies were very apologetic, totally not their fault. They are doing their best with a 2 person team cleaning several rooms, probably underpaid and under staffed. We left for another hour and came back to a cleaner room. The room itself is breaking down literally. Owners, managers, when was the last time you visited this dumpster?? Our room back door was broken which was kinda scary. The blinds were filthy dirty and stained really gross. The bathroom sink faucet is falling apart. The shower soap dispensers are disgusting and watered down. The sink soap dispenser is also broken and not made for the soap in the dispenser. Those dispensers altogether are just pure dollar tree trash. The hot tub outside is cold and the mosquitoes are thriving due to a lot of stagnant standing water all around the property. HOT TUB DOES NOT WORK. If you ask them to bring you towels, they can't because they are not on property so good luck. I had to dry myself with PAPER TOWELS. The landscaping maintenance hasn't been maintained in who knows how long. The irrigation is not good with the overgrown and dead plants and brush. This place was pretty gross and not what they advertised online. If it's pretty good to be true it is. This place is not it. Shame on you owners for not up-keeping this property. Lots of violations were noted and too many to write about. Worst place I've ever stayed in Palm Springs. Owners get out there and clean up the place. This place is garbage. read more

Stayed overnight recently on a pass through the area, this adult only complex is comfortable and quiet. Adults only means no kids and no pets. The property is very secure and private, comfortable, with a mid century modern feel and vibe. After check in our host escorted us through the property and showed us to our rooms. My king bed room was very comfortable and well appointed, the bed was very comfy and the shower had plenty of hot water. Heavy towels and nice thread count linens. Each room has its own semi private courtyards in front and back. The grounds and pool were spotless and very well maintained. Positives : pictures of the rm and properly were accurate ! Beautiful landscaping. Very quiet and safe area close to town . When we needed towels and a garbage change the staff responded quickly. Love the mid century style of the place . Very clean pool and our room . Negatives : never received there pre check form before arrival. We called and had it sent to us. The guy on duty John ? Got impatient with us and hung up on us three times. He would not give us the code to get in there gate until he had our credit card info . I said I wasn't comfortable do this over email and wanted to do it in person . Recently had to deal with credit card fraud through a major hotel chain . I highly doubt a small business like this has the encryption in place to protect my credit card . I had to call Expedia who we booked it through and get them to either sort this out or move us elsewhere. Expedia spoke with the property, asked us to go to check in person and inspected our rm beforehand. When we got to the property Jon had a much better attitude. We were able to show the picture I'd and give our card in person for the deposit.. The bed is way to soft , cheap toiletries, ( they would be better off having those lg refilled type in the shower . no daily maid service the towels are not a great quality. We stayed at Bellvue Oasis mid November and had a lovely time. Photos on the site were an accurate representation of our room. Cute and cozy. There was an easy check in procedure so we never needed to go to a lobby. Nice pool, however the jacuzzi was not working for our stay-not to worry though because the adjoining property (which we had access to) had a working one. The only thing we had to complain about was the lack of storage. There was no dresser and only 4 hangers. However, we did tell the manager that the room could use either more hangers or a dresser (or both) and she agreed. Hopefully they'll address this. Would we stay here again? ABSOLUTELY 100% YES!! Such a gorgeous retreat in PS... small and quaint yet the rooms are large and very comfortable. Lots of photo ops!! The pool is amazing, heated, and the jacuzzi is equally as amazing. There was hardly anyone out there so plenty of room to enjoy yourself while enjoying social distance life. My bf and I were so comfortable in our room and would have loved to stay longer. I booked this hotel thru Expedia and then saw the photos of the black mold here on Yelp only minutes after booking. I immediately called Expedia to cancel the reservation due to my health concerns, they called BelleVue for authorization and they denied the request. Expedia said I'd have to call the Hotel directly if I wanted a refund, which I did. The person who answered was angry and rude and said they get multiple requests to cancel every day and can't give everyone an exception and a refund. I told him my health concerns and asked if we couldn't stay there could they at least consider what we paid a credit for someone else to stay at another time? He refused. He also said he was the only one there running the whole Hotel and he wasn't going to send me photos of the room to prove there was no mold. We told them we couldn't stay there and needed to book somewhere else. We then went to BelleVue at check-in to explain the situation in person and ask if they would at least give us a 50% refund the staff working didn't have authority to make that decision. This was Memorial Day weekend when Hotels were totally booked and vacancies were in high demand. We ended up leaving the room vacant for them to doublebook which seemed really unfair. We were told it was possible Management would refund us but we would have to wait until after the weekend to find out; they did not. When I disputed the charge on my card they contested it and we paid for a room and an experience we did not have. I am very disappointed that they made no consideration for health concerns or the fact that I promptly requested a refund within minutes of the booking and could have opened the booking for someone else to have a positive experience and leave a positive review. They were willing to charge us $500 to not stay at their Hotel, we are still making the credit card payments. read more

First let me just say the customer service at front desk was GREAT! However the rooms are very misleading in the pictures. My room looked like a little dungeon old stained furniture(chair) I found hair on sink and night stand and a dirty used bottle cap in shower. Pretty gross it was quiet and peaceful but I didn't even want to be in the room EVER literally just to sleep. Sucks the pictures make this place look beautiful inside and out. We booked a last-minute stay here and didn't really have too many other options. The whole check-in process here is a bit odd .. you have to fill out paperwork online and upload a selfie while holding your driver's license, which I felt uncomfortable doing. We stayed one night and left our perishables in the mini fridge, only to find out in the morning that the mini fridge wasn't working even though it was plugged in... so we had to throw out our food/drinks. The room was also covered in ants in the morning! On the tv console, the floor, the sink in the bathroom and the toilet. A couple of them were crawling all over me while I was in the bathroom. I complained to management upon checking out but they said there was nothing they can do so I reached out to Expedia. Expedia assured me that they contacted the hotel and the hotel agreed to reimburse my stay, but upon contacting the hotel I was advised that they had no idea what I was talking about. The manager (Joe) said he'd look into it and then stopped communicating altogether, and then when I followed up, Lorraine said she'd look into it and never got back to me. I had a very nice stay here! This hotel reopened/rebranded in the past 6 or so weeks, so there aren't many reviews yet. It used to be Escape, so I hope they saged the rooms. I may have had a paranormal encounter in my room on night 2 where I am almost certain I woke up to 2 gay ghosts and mentioned it to my partner who told me to go back to sleep, but we were also very drunk after going out and it could have been a super vivid dream. I hate super large resorts full of non-stop partying millennials, even though I regrettably fall under that category, so this place is great. I'm pretty sure it's under 20 rooms and the grounds are well-maintained. The pool and hot tub weren't very busy throughout the day. We even had a little outdoor patio with our room. The room was bright and clean with a new refrigerator and microwave. It was thoroughly remodeled, but there were a couple of spots that needed some touch up paint. Also, do NOT try the mouthwash they provide -- it's Hawaiian Tropic that was made in China and it makes your mouth numb like you gargled with cocaine. I would definitely stay here again! read more

This is a crazy story. My mother-in-law and her friend were checking into this place at the time the hotel _told_ us to check in: 3. But the front desk won't let them check in. Also at 3 on the same day, this hotel e-mailed us a form which they said they needed to check-in, but why not e-mail it sooner? Anyway, we filled it in and submitted it to the buggy website. Nope, they still wouldn't let them check in. Why? lunch break apparently _starts_ at 3, yes, at the exact same time they ask guests to check in. So my mom-in-law and her friend are baking in the sun while the front desk is closed for an hour while my wife and I are on the phone trying to get them into their room. The one time we got through they hung up on us telling them it was their lunch break. Finally we get through at 3:50 and they let my poor mom-in-law into the room she paid for. We told them we were upset, they said "thanks for the feedback" in a very professional sarcastic tone, and hung up on us a second time. Well at least they're inside now. Crazy service, and frankly, a little mean. Palm Springs is a big place, go somewhere else, so you don't have your own story to tell about this place. read more

Absolutely do not recommend. Our room was a dump. First off, the interaction with the check in process was not desirable. Asking to send a photo of ID and credit card is not cool. We were already paid, not going to send a picture of my credit card. Although it was weird that an actual person was there when we checked in and had to take a pic of face holding drivers license ... is that strange? The lobby had a smelly smell. Even though we did get the "cheapest" room, it is no excuse to be dirty. Floors were sticky and we wore shoes while walking inside. Found black mold in shower... gross. Plus the rinky-dink handmade contraption of a shower nozzle was a joke. You had to squish yourself into the corner and ladies... don't even think of shaving your legs, no way to move around. Dusty, peeling paint and ickyness surround you. We were so disappointed. I was in PS for work so I don't look or need a super expensive resort, but maybe you can stomach this place for one night ... we had stayed for 4. Overpriced motel. Do not recommend. We paid over $200 a night expecting for a nice 1 King bedroom studio with sofa bed and small kitchen. We checked in and discovered there was no bed frame/headboard, no sofa bed or kitchen. There were dark black particles falling from the A/C unit on the wall. We had to turn off the unit so the sheets didn't get dirty. Unfortunately, the room got so humid it was hard to sleep. Walls are pretty thin. Bathrooms lacked counter space. Only positive thing about this location was the pool and adult only. Definitely, not the oasis we anticipated for my girlfriends birthday weekend. I was very disappointed. Charming & affordable with a slight invasion of privacy. The pool area is a charming lush oasis in a baron desert that is -- Palm Springs. The perfect juxtaposition for a quick getaway. One can easily loose themselves in the tranquility and accidentally doze off. So keep your SPF game strong and on point. The check-in process hints at a future Netflix docuseries on identity theft. The hotels protocol is for you to email them (post-booking / pre check-in) a selfie while holding up your government issued identification (passport, drivers license, etc...). This type of process is typically only engaged by government and financial institutions, not by John & Jane (fictitious names) running a 20 something room boutique motel. It's worrisome to say the least from todays privacy standpoint, which is why I feel compelled to solidify it in writing. Aka, my long-winded Yelp review. The rooms are appropriately suited for the low price point, but unfortunately ours smelled of mold... Yikes, am I right. My partner and I attempted to stay at this hotel for a couple of nights back in February. The room was extremely disappointing and had many issues. All of these issues were verified by a hotel staff member (who informed the owner) and I have attached some pictures. The "king size bed" was really two twin mattresses and box springs zip tied at the frame, with a king pillow topper on top of the two mattresses. The two twin mattresses were not even level with each other, which made it even more obvious. The frames that were zip tied together weren't even secured into place, so the bed moved and didn't stay in place. The towels had very noticeable stains on them, and shouldn't have been left for guests. The furniture was cheap and flimsy, I didn't feel safe putting any weighted items on top of the table. One of the lights in the room didn't work. Adam, property manager, was very helpful in relaying my concerns to the owner. But the owner came across as very arrogant and kept talking over me when I was telling him about the issues. Him spending $750,000 on the property or being a former travel journalist, did not address my problems. I don't need a life story, just try to address my concerns and if you can't, please process my refund (which took over 2 hours for him to grant after many back and forth phone calls and his hotel staff member confirming my issues). We ended up staying at Mountain View Spa and Resort for $50 cheaper. This property is not worth the price. read more

No ma'am you definitely do have bed bugs and other insects crawling around on the bed and room. As stated in plenty other reviews on here, your rooms are dirty and instead of make things right you sit there and argue it when the pictures are clear as day showing you exactly what is wrong. Yes, my husband took a shower after driving on the road all day before laying down and going to bed. As anyone else would do and once he pulled back the covers and saw what he did, he left right away and rightfully so as anyone else should do to avoid bringing bed bugs back to our home. After calling I was told I have to go back to the email agree to terms and conditions and was asked to send a "selfie" of myself holding my drivers license and a photo of my credit card. I thought all of this was pretty strange and a hassle for someone tired and just trying to get to my room and go to sleep! Anyways, that aside I politely went with it and followed your steps to get a gate code and finally got in my room, so yeah first thing I did was hop in the shower and try to go to bed! I was at the property for less than an hour and immediately grabbed all my belongings and left after seeing several bugs, hair, spiders in and behind the bed. You guys need to get it together, hire some pest control and learn some customer service. By that time it was almost 1am and I had been up working and driving since 5am the previous day so the last thing I wanted to do was play musical rooms with you. I would not have slept at your facility if someone paid me the $100.00 the room cost! I'll be disputing the charge with my credit card company as I was there less than an hour and was not delivered a safe environment to sleep in. If the dispute doesn't go through then oh well the bad reviews and public information will have to continue if you are unwilling to do the right thing and issue a refund. At this point I could care less about the $100 it's the principal and you guys should really just consider doing the right thing as a company instead of making yourself look unprofessional on here with your reply. read more

An apparent scam business that takes your money upfront through a third party, verified vendor, then requests - through private email communications - a digital copy of your driver's license with selfie and a copy of your credit/debit card (!). If you refuse, they go ahead and keep your reservation and re-book the room - if you give them these things (and you are stupid if you do) you are entering the world of identity fraud. They apparently can't wait for people to stumble upon this unscrupulous business to defraud customers. I should note that there are plenty of "virtual" hosts in Palm Springs who are awesome - Sonder, AvantStay come to mind - where a secure app is used at minimum for registration, but more importantly, verified third party apps (AirBnb) are used as intended: to verify customers. I would not recommend staying at Belle Vue Oasis. I was compelled to write this review based not only on the negative experiences we had with the hotel itself but also, on the quality of the service we received. We encountered several unsatisfactory experiences that all together led us to rate this hotel as a one star. 1- We had to wait over 30 minutes outside the hotel before we were able to access our room. Bella Vue failed to send a registration email with directions on how to access the property. The registration required us to fill out a questionnaire, provide photos of our ID, and also a photo of ourselves. 2-The room smelled of cleaning products, the ceiling fan was not working and the heater was broken. We walked into our room that overwhelmingly smelled of cleaning products. We tried the ceiling fan to air out the room but it was broken. Again, we called the service desk for help, we were told something about a "service panel" issue. We then opened the windows & door to air out the room for a bit while in unpacking. In December it's cold on PS so, about 10 minutes later we realized the heater was broken. 3rd time calling the service desk, for help. We spent 5 minutes receiving instructions on how to use the heater. The resolution was for BV to bring us a portable heater. While we waited for the heater we decided to use the jacuzzi. 3- The jacuzzi was broken. The gal that brought the heater informed us that the jacuzzi on the property was not working. But we did have the opportunity to utilize the Jacuzzi at another property. Not acceptable! We were charged a $25 resort fee. After check out I called to see if Belle Vue would be willing to drop the RF due to the jacuzzi not working. "No"was their response, stating, "that as a guest they offered the use of the Jacuzzi at a different location and also had access to all the other amenities on the property. "What amenities" I asked. The pool (not heated) and a mini golf (located behind the rooms, not visible). Our experience at Belle Vue Oasis was not at all as advertised and the hospitality basically "sucked"! read more

I booked a room on June 4th through Booking.com looking to get away for a day. I got a call the day before my scheduled booking from BelleVue saying that due to COVID the hotel was not allowed to open but could we stay on Friday, not the Thursday we had planned. Due to work scheduling and a caregiver we were unable to change plans , so I asked for a refund. I was told there wouldn't be an issue . We are now in almost September and I have not received my refund of $259.00 . That's quite a bit of money to pay for a room that I did not even get the opportunity to stay in. I have called Booking.com , they talked with the manager and he assured them I would get a refund . What do I have to do at this point to get my money back . I was really excited to eventually come stay at this hotel and now I'm just pissed and out $259.00 How can you be charged for a service that couldn't even be offered that day and not make it right ???! read more

My friend and I stayed at BelleVue Oasis as a weekend getaway from LA and it was exactly what we needed! The staff was very kind and accommodating, the rooms were absolutely gorgeous and the pool was a lovely escape from the desert heat. I wanted to host close friends and family for a birthday/weekend getaway. I reached out to Bellevue Oasis and Adam (manager) responded almost immediately. I shared my vision for the weekend and Adam really helped to make it happen. I don't know what I would have done without him. I will never be able to thank Adam and his staff enough for a wonderful weekend. The hotel was great. Just what you expect from a boutique hotel. Quite, comfy, and inviting. Beware. Not sure if the hotel is under new ownership or what happened... We've stayed at this hotel numerous times and we've always loved it. It's cute, quiet and perfect place to getaway. This time was different however. When we entered the room (#19), I immediately noticed there was no bed frame, just a mattress and box spring on the floor. The refrigerator wasn't working and the microwave was dirty with burned food inside. We grabbed some ice from the ice machine outside, settled into the room anyway and enjoyed the evening at the pool. The next day we went downtown and returned to our room late in the evening. Just before midnight, I went into the restroom and saw tiny black bugs crawling all over the floor. After further inspection, I found them crawling throughout the room, including around the bed that was just sitting on the floor. At this point we decided to leave the hotel immediately. We packed our belongings and left. I sent a text to the management notifying them of the problem to which they replied "sorry about that" and offered to move to another room. We declined since we had already left. The next day I contacted the hotel and Expedia and was denied a refund for the remaining days of our stay. The hotel denied that there were bugs even though we provided pictures and video evidence supporting our claim. As repeat guests of this property, I was really disappointed that the manager, Dawn, wasn't even willing to try to resolve the problem we had. She told me that because we were at the property during the day, technically we stayed 2 days and we're not entitled to a refund. As a result, we will never stay here or recommend it to anyone again. read more
