The worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon and I've been going every two weeks for 20 years. I got a pedicure (basic) and was told an ingrown toe nail and cleaning under my nails was by request only. Then the guy gets loud and tells me not to raise my voice at him. "Don't talk to me like that" he says, when I don't even yell. It's explains why they were empty and the shop across the street had a line. This was my first and last visit, there are too many others in the area. I came here to skip the line across the street and regret it. I've been to this nail salon many times... it's really close to my parents' house, so it has been really convenient for me. Unfortunately, I won't be going back. I've had a couple of A-OK visits here, but overall, they've been pretty rough. The last experience was enough to keep me from giving them another shot. I had a 4:15 appointment (my sister did as well), and our services didn't start until 4:45pm. That's not the first time that has happened, either. I would have much rather they told us they didn't have any space. The woman who did my pedicure was so unpleasant to the point where I thought I somehow accidentally offended her. She ended up using three coats of paint, which usually would be fine, but she didn't let the coats dry enough in between and the paint ended up all over the place in the next couple of hours. It was a total mess. I made sure to choose a polish that had a "match" color in dip powder, and when the brought out the powder for my nails, the color looked so different. She told me it would match once it was done and had the top coat on it, so on we went. Well, turns out the colors didn't match at all, and my nails ended up looking pretty bad as well. During a pedicure the man working on me grabbed my ankle so hard it hurt! Then did the same to my other ankle. This was my first visit to this shop. As a matter of fact, I've only had my nails done two other times in my life. I went in for a Pedi. The woman who did my pedicure (slightly middle-aged), was so nice, professional and did such a great job, I decided to add a manicure. But, apparently, my lady only does pedicures, at least on this day. So I was handed off to a much younger woman. Tall, thin and long hair. She was the polar opposite of the woman who did my pedicure. She was curt, rude and belittling. She also did a terrible manicure. Nails on both hands chipped before the week was out. My pedicure on the other hand, looks as good as the day it was done! He immediately began raising his voice at me, "How do you expect me to file them and shape them at the same time?!" I responded, "Oh, I just wanted to let you know the shape I like. I've been going to Laboure for five years. Their attention to detail is solid, they're respectful of their clients and they have a terrific selection of polish colors and nail treatments. In addition, they recently added the Gel manicures. Great massage chairs, pleasant decor, solid magazine selection. They take reservations and walk-ins. I've been going to Laboure Nail Salon for a few of months now and I visited the first time because it's really close to my job. I usually would be the gel manicure. The first time that I went I was very pleased with my manicure. It was great and it lasted for 2 weeks. I went back and tried a different technician and the gel manicure started peeling within a couple of days. He painted my cuticles and everything. If you are interested in a consistenly good manicure this may not be the place because all of the technicians are not equally talented or experienced. If you are a new client they may allow the inexperienced technicians to practice on you. I thought that that was what school was for....Maybe it's me! On a seperate visit I dropped my mom off for a treat after we met for lunch while I went back to work......MY BAD!!! The technician that was assigned to my mother did not speak english so my mom had to speak to the owner and the owner translated to the technician to let her know that "You're hurting me" or "I dont want my nails that short". While she got a manicure the technician stepped on her wet toes and did not fix them. The manager, Lynn said that she would fix the smudged toe nails but didnt. Instead she offered her a reward card with 10 open spots for each visit. After 10 visits you receive a free manicure. She gave her two stamps...WHAT THE HECK!?! How about fixing her nails? My mom just left kind of sad. If a specific technician hasnt been suggested to you by someone that has had a great experience...DONT GO. If there are alot of customers in the shop whether you have an appointment or not.... RESCHEDULE. They will rush right through your services. Quality isnt a top priority at this salon. I believe in quality and I dont think that its OK that some customers leave with quality sometimes or even most customers leave with quality... sometimes. I believe that every cutomer should leave with quality products and services everytime. I might accept somethings when it comes to subpar customer service in exchange for convienence, great prices or awesome quality for myself , but after they treated my mom that way and allowed her to leave with her nails looking the way that they did. I got a dip manicure and pedicure here. The pedicure chipped right away. The manicure was soooo thick, they didn't take the time to file/shape it at all. It was so far away from my cuticles, it looked like it had a week's worth of growth after leaving the store. The man doing the manicure yelled at me when I moved my hand away, when I explained it was because he was hurting me, he began complaining to his co-workers in another language. This has to be one of my favorite nail salon in St. Louis/ St. Charles County. They have a grape seed oil pedicure that is absolutely glorious. They do a wonderful job of smoothing heels and getting all of the ick off of your feet. It may be a few extra dollars, but it is totally worth it. I've always just walked in and never made an appointment. They do great eyebrow waxes too. They have all the new items that are on the market with the shellac and crackle. HORRIBLE customer service. My nails looked like a 6 yr old did them. Had gel polish done and she didn't put the same number of coats in each nail so they were different shades. When I pointed it out all of a sudden she didn't understand me!!! Luckily another customer said they looked bad too. Some parts of my nails were missed completely!!! And had polish on my skin on 6 of my fingers. Manager or whatever she was was not helpful or friendly what so ever. No wonder they were the only nail salon that wasn't busy in the area. I just left here and got my usual pedicure, the Laboure pedi which is $40 and comes with a 10 minute massage. The owner (the female) did my pedi. First off, you can tell she did not like doing pedi's, she skipped steps and did a half-assed job with a weak massage that was not 10 minutes. She also has a very superior way about herself. When I gave her my polish that I brought in she kind of scoffed for some reason. And the whole time she kept straining to watch the flat screen tv hanging on the wall behind her. And one of my biggest pet peeves is when the pedi is done, they don't bother wiping off the oil on your legs and feet. I almost slipped walking to the table to dry my polish. I got up to get some paper napkins to wipe my legs and feet off and she very blatantly asked if I spilled any thing. I told her what the issue was and then she said something in her native language to the 2 other female workers and they all started laughing. She obviously said something rude about me, but she's lucky I was nice enough not to give her a hard time about it. Any other person would have very easily slipped and they would have a lawsuit on their hands. I got up to leave and she didn't say a word to me. I don't know if she just doesn't like her job or was having a bad day, but that is not the way to treat a loyal customer who had been going there for the past 9 years. I will not be returning. My advice to this owner is to lose the attitude and to take a course in customer service. read more

Love going here for my manis and pedis! Joe, the owner, is awesome! Everyone here greets you by name as soon as you walk in. They have free drinks to help you relax if you want, water or wine!! Very pretty decor, VERY clean- which I really appreciate! No pushy, rude employees. I try to request Joe for the Best gel manicures around, but everyone there does a professional job and for the Best price! I stopped in this salon to buy my daughter a gift certificate for the powder dip manicure. When I walked in, I made the mistake of first asking about a nail polish for myself. The manager Lynn very abruptly told me that she doesn't sell polish and walked away. I stood there thinking she was going to come right back however she just stared at me instead, essentially refusing to help me. It took me months to write this review but PLEASE make sure you also read the Google Reviews. My experience was the worst I ever had in my entire life. The only reason I went back is that the distance from my house was around 5 mins. Lyn's husband was doing my nails and I suggested a different shape (not to mention he never asked.) Suddenly, he got mad and threw the nail filer to the ground and pushed his chair, he started yelling at me because I COMPLAINT A LOT. I was in shock!!! I only talked to him once time, he wasn't very friendly and rough with my hands. If you have a business is because people like us go to your place. TREAT people with respect and do a good job! Pay your employees a decent salary so they don't have to rush to do my pedicure and manicure or whatever service. I was so terrified that I thought he was going to hit me. I told him I was going to call the police and he didn't care.. He said DO IT, I DON'T CARE! Also, he lied and told the police that his cameras were off, no records of what happened there that afternoon. If you read in YELP you will see that something similar happened to another female customer. I took a picture of him talking to the police so you can see this is real! Unprofessional and rude customer service. Do NOT recommend this location if you want quality. Go elsewhere. The first lady I spoke to did not know the prices of anything and kept asking a different lady to provide pricing in their language then she would inform me of the prices. I asked for an acrylic overlay, something that I typically get at other salons. This was my first and LAST time at this salon as I was in the area and needed a nail salon. After I asked for the acrylic overlay the lady gave me this long explanation and tried to "convince," me to get dip powder instead saying dip powder was "organic," which is not true. Dip powder is not ORGANIC at all. There are chemicals in the dip powder similar to what is in acrylic powder, perhaps not as much but it's not organic at all. Dip powder is LESS WORK for the nail techs which is probably why she pushed the issue and even asked me, why don't you like dip, have you tried it etc. She didn't appear to WANT to do the acrylic overlay because again, it's a longer process than the dip powder. She also had an issue getting the colors for me because I like to see the colors in the bottle FIRST because some nail salons have and still use really old and worn-out gel colors. She had an issue with that. She rushed through the acrylic overlay and the gel that she painted on is LUMPY and uneven. It's been LESS THAN 1 WEEK and the gel has already CHIPPED! There were only 2 customers in the entire salon so there really wasn't a need for her to rush through this service that I asked for and paid for. When a customer asks for a service that you provide, you should simply provide that service and NOT try to convince or persuade the customer to get something else that's less work for you. That's terrible business! Do NOT RECOMMEND this nail salon at all! read more

I went in for a pedicure and left extremely dissatisfied. The guy doing my pedi did not bother to remove all of my old polish on the edges of my two big toes. I did not not realize this until I was getting them dried and I looked at them and saw that I had my new red polish and on the edges of the big toes you very clearly see the blue polish. It was so obvious and I'm not sure why he did not bother to wipe it all off. At this point he was not in sight so I asked the owner Lynn if she could please redo just the big toes and she made the biggest deal ever, it was almost humorous. First off, she was just sitting there playing on her phone, so I did not see what the big deal was. After I learned she was the owner I was disgusted the owner could act this way. She was very rude and short. I will not be returning in the future and would advise anyone reading this to do the same. read more

Generally a very positive, upbeat person, I am saddened to give Laboure Nail Salon a very negative review. The female owner makes the atmosphere very tense and unwelcoming. The professionalism of this salon is quite questionable as well, since by the time you leave you might hardly ever be satisfied with the end results. It was convenient to use the service of Laboure Nail Salon , due to my House location, but because being treated terribly on the consistent basis, I made a decision to not return and provide additional income to the business which does not value, care, and respect its' customers. read more

I got a pedicure and talked me out of getting nails put on because she implied that since I had a baby that I couldn't or shouldn't!!. Crazy. This place was not busy at all and now I see why. However, what has occurred the last few times is having my hands jerked around while I get a manicure by the owner, Lynn. She is very condescending in maneuvering my fingers/ hands and making comments of do this not that, etc- at times almost hostile. Seriously? So while I was on a vacation to Missouri, I decided to treat myself and get my nails along with my boyfriend's toes done. I had an appointment and even arrived 5 minutes early, I ended up waiting 20 minutes after my appointment was supposed to have started. I have very few complaints about my pedi, however the gal that did my boyfriend's pedi was horrible. I could have done a better job of it at home. He still has dead skin and uneven toe nails. I mean if I'm paying 22 bucks for a basic pedi for him you could at least put on a top coat. I wish the appointment stopped there unfortunately it did not. The lady that did my b f's toes also did my mani. The color doesn't match the color on my toes at all, the nails are longer on one hand then the other, the gel is uneven on my nails, the nails are too thick and just look extremely fake. I understand that they are fake but I don't want them to look like it. While she was getting them the right shape she was not just filing my nails but also the finger skin around it. She pushed my cuticles but didn't bother to trim them off so I just have random cuticles hanging off every which way, that she proceeded to just shove when she was using the detail drill. I have never been in so much pain during get a mani in my life. I don't understand how this Salon is still in business with the shotty work I got today. Lynn was rude and spent part of my session talking in a language I couldn't understand to someone else. I would not recommend this Salon to even my worst enemy. I came in and got a gel/shellac manicure and the nail tech, who is also the manager, rushed through the entire thing. She did not push back my cuticles so my nails looked tiny after she cut them.
