I ordered a chicken parm with eggplant 19 dollars get home and there is no eggplant . mind you that's all I wanted. This is a great Italian restaurant. They have everything from soup and nuts but one thing that they do have that I'd have to recommend is their lemon sauce over chicken and spaghetti. I haven't had that since I was in Sicily it's very not too tight they have great salads. They have sandwiches there too. The house wine is very nice and chilled. Give it a try. Old Tyme is just that--old-timey. It's an older restaurant, with a dated interior and exterior and a tiny parking lot. You know it's probably been around forever. But the food is tasty and the service is great. The staff is so friendly. Like the name suggests, it's an old-school Italian-American restaurant. I did not want to go, but my father had been wanting to try it, and it was his birthday, and he was paying, so I went. He loved it, which is the important thing, and I really enjoyed it. The wine list isn't super unique, but there are many options, and I went with the Rodney Strong chardonnay. I don't love chardonnay, but I like the Rodney Strong brand, so I was happy. And they have two of my favorite items on the menu--tortellini soup and chicken broccoli ziti with a garlic olive oil sauce. Both hit the spot and there was plenty for leftovers. My dad had fried calamari and pasta puttanesca. The fried calamari was awful. Overcooked and tasteless. But he loved his pasta. My stepmom was unimpressed with her spinach ravioli with alfredo sauce, but I think she just ordered wrong. The bread was good, though it should have been warmed first. This is not a place for anyone under 70. The room is warm and smells like mothballs, the beers are warm, and the atmosphere is dead.

Old Tyme has been recommended to me by multiple people. I was finally in the area and decided to give it a try. I had the veal and eggplant parm combo. It was ok. The price and portion is very good. The veal was good and the eggplant was tender. The sauce isnt my favorite. Its thinner and runnier than I prefer. The meatballs are okay. Everything was underwhelming and just okay. The outside is weird - theres no obvious main door and the lit up "open" sign is actually above the door you shouldnt go in! The outside lights are motion sensor so if no one comes in or out, the outside goes dark. Its weird. Also they need background music or something as a sound buffer. People speaking loudly or kids and loud chopping from the kitchen will be all you hear. read more

This was our sixth visit to Old Thyme and it does not disappoint. I can't say enough about the Seafood Special with homemade fusilli. The dish is abundant with mussels,clams and shrimp and the fra Diablo sauce is the best. My husband loves their eggplant and veal parm. The portions are large and food is always served hot. Service is also good and their wines are reasonably priced with a good poor. This is my new all time favorite Italian restaurant. The best is that the food is reasonably priced! read more

DO done here on a lot ng weekend, almost no patrons, newly renovated interior and classic affordable ( red) wine ( mine was medium bodied lol). Stellar cuisine ( eggplant Parm and steak tips with classic veggies), friendly unobtrusive service, and INCREDIBLE tiramisu. End of a era. Been coming here with my family for over 10 years. Rarely had a bad meal - until tonight. My wife ordered shrimp fradiavolo. Pasta was good, sauce was nice and spicy, the shrimp were small, dry/rubbery as though freezer burned. Brought to the attention of our waitress. She was polite and offered to take the plate off our bill. When the check arrived she apologized and said her manager would only take 1/2 off because 2 of the shrimp were eaten. Bit my tongue. Use to be one of my favorites, but post covid they have gone down hill just a bit. Portions are definitely a lot smaller, especially the appetizers. You no longer get a side salad with the entree. The waitstaff and food itself has always been excellent. If you have never been here before you'll definitely enjoy it, but for those who came before covid, just be aware it's not the same. Pretty good deals on their wine, as well. Parking can be right on a Friday or Saturday night just as a heads up. read more

Not sure if this is how you grill chicken, but it was dry as cardboard and just as thin...maybe thinner. Luckily it had enough vegetables so my throat didn't dry out trying to swallow whatever it was they put on the plate. read more

This is my go to Saturday night dinner restaurant. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is casual. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars, is because the menu is always the same. The dinner specials never change. They have 4 different specials that they rotate every once in a while. If you are looking for good food at good prices you will do well here. If you come more than once in a while, you will exhaust the menu quickly. I hope that they will add to, or change the current menu. If it doesn't change soon, my wife is going to make me look for another Saturday night dinner restaurant. read more

Entree: OK, my wife rated her Chicken piccata as 4 stars. My Veal Marsala was two stars (chewy and dumped over ziti smothered with wine sauce). Desert: Lava cake dry with Hersey syrup. Service: Polite young man did not write our order down and forgot our Caesar salad order when entree came (forget it) and we had to ask for (stale bread) and packaged butter. We had to search him out to pay the check. Ambience: NON-existant. I understand we are in a pandemic and we ate outside, however at least give us paper plates to eat off from not take-out containers. Plant some flowers containers please maybe some nice soft music. This is a neighborhood bar that serves plain food at a reasonable price. read more

Solid Italian food in a homey, no-frills atmosphere. This place is right down the street from my house, so I don't know what took me so long to try it! Don't drive by too fast, or you may miss it. It's a small, white, brick one-story with a nondescript sign on the front. There is free parking in the lot next door. The menu is your standard Italian fare, but at great prices (most are under $15. In addition to appetizers, you have your salads, chicken, seafood, steak, and pasta entrees. There is a full-service bar, and a bottle of beer will set you back a measly $3. I got a pasta dish, and hubs got his usual staple -- chicken parmigiana. Both were very good and solid. The pasta tasted homemade, which is a definite plus in both our books. The red sauce could have been a tad sweeter, but had a good tartness to it. I got a pasta dish in an oil and garlic, and it was neither too oily, or too garlicy, which was great. Our servers were all very pleasant and helpful. All the dishes are made to order, so they can accommodate pretty much any request you have. You want a chicken patty instead of chunks of chicken? No problem. Fusilli instead of angel hair? No problem. We will definitely be back to try out more menu options. But so far, we are happy diners. read more

I don't really get the 5 star reviews here. The staff are great, but the space and food just don't measure up. We were able to wheel right in the back door and were seated immediately, choosing to sit in the cozy area next to the bathrooms, rather than the cavernous back room or the packed front dining room. We ordered the eggplant appetizer and it was actually pretty awful, with thickly cut pieces of almost raw eggplant served with cardboard tomatoes. The oil served with the bread makes everyone gag, and no it's not the heat. We each ordered different pasta dishes, all huge portions -- and heavy and tasteless. The staff were very friendly and attentive, but there are other options around here. read more

Yum, this place is great. I got the Chicken al Spiinaci, it was a bit rich for me, but everyone else loved it. My favorite place for Chicken Marsala closed and this place quickly filled its spot in my heart/stomach. The front room isn't that elegant, but the back room is pretty sweet. Love this place :) We had our work Christmas party here and the food was amazing. I had Chicken Marvan. It was light in a white wine sauce, chicken was tender, moist and delicious. I'm generally a big fan of Old Tyme But tonight I ordered takeout from there. I ordered an entrée that generally would come with salad and bread but apparently when you take out you don't get either of those things. I at least would've expected a salad. It's the same price as your pay in the restaurant so you should get the exact same thing you get the restaurant. Disappointed read more
