I've lived in Swampscott Ma, my entire life, I've never eaten at Paradiso Ristorante. It's a cute Italian bar/ristorante. Went in early on a Friday sat at the bar with my daughter and sister in law I had a pumpkin martini so yummy ! My daughter had an espresso martini so good my sister in law had a key lime martini also delicious for dinner we had chicken Parmesan with homemade fusilli and Carrozza chicken also with fusilli so good ! I had a glass of Pinot noir with my dinner every thing was delicious! Our waitress/bartender was the best !! Highly recommended!

Service was amazing - super nice server and servers assistant. They were always checking on us and had a smile on their faces while doing it. The outdoor patio was adorably decorated. Food was good and the pistachio martini was incredible. All in all a great little place with great service and vibes!

14oz steak with vegetables and mashed potatoes

Came here on a Wednesday night about an hour before they were closing with about half the seats open. Indoors and outdoor dining was available with decent coverage considering it was down pouring at the time. For drinks my sister had a traditional mule with Tito's and my friend and I had a Jameson mule, which I enjoyed more than the standard. A few sips in I could tell there was a fair amount of alcohol incorporated, always appreciated. For appetizer we shared the shrimp scampi including three orders of rolls before and after. Our server was kind enough to keep offering us more while we were waited for our entrées. The rolls were warm and perfect for the dipping oil and the scampi sauce, literally couldn't get enough of it. For entrées, my friend ordered the 14 ounce sirloin steak with the vegetables and mashed potatoes while my sister and I shared the fra Diavolo (lobster tail included) with linguini. The steak was cooked medium rare and it definitely had that bright pink center while being slightly bloody. My friend thoroughly enjoyed his meal and especially the vegetables. There was a variety of seafood including clams, muscles, scallops, lobster, fish, shrimp but surprisingly no calamari. The fresh linguini soaked up the flavorful and slightly spicy fra diavolo sauce. For dessert we shared the apple tart with the vanilla ice cream. It was a crispy outside layer with caramelized sugar on the top and bottom. The warm tart was a perfect contrast for the cold and simple vanilla ice cream. Overall, great experience. Our waitress was incredibly kind and even had other servers check up on us as well. Would definitely come again and support this local business!

We went here as a group of 6 and sat at a table for 8- which was a little cumbersome but we made do. We are all a very tight knit group and we wanted to have some great discussions here. We ordered some wine and salads. Then we had all kinds of dishes from sea bass (got steamed broccoli as the replacement vegetable for the mixed medley), veal, pasta and some other goodies. The food was very good. We had Mike as our waiter. It felt like we were in a Sopranos movie but all in good fun. In the front of the house, a Boston Red Sox v Yankees game was playing-its located directly across fr the commuter line so it is a good location. This is a good ol' standby to go to!

Paradiso Ristorante 15 Railroad Ave, Swampscott http://www.paradisoristorante.net/ Once again the food and service were top-notch at Paradiso Ristorante in Swampscott but the big story here is the new and spectacular dining room! The new dining area is spacious, welcoming, and as good as anyone else's around the North Shore! It quite possibly may even be the best! I highly recommend that every one make it a point to check this place out ASAP. Click on the link above to make a reservation.

I highly recommend! I hosted my daughter's bridal shower here, and was beyond impressed with everything from the service to the most delicious Italian food! The chicken parmesan was excellent and made thin to perfection! Connie and Kim were both amazing and paid attention to every detail! The ambiance was perfect and made for a beautiful event!

But we didn't realize until later...she was also our chef, sou chef and prob dish washer! It's a one man show lol! The next weird thing was the menu. There was a "surprise" course where you don't know what you'll get. I'm adventurous so went with that. What I didn't know was it just means she'll throw together whatever is leftover in the pot from yesterday and heat it up for you. The food was 90% awful, not fresh, reheated leftovers. Then we were leaving, no desert thanks. She insisted we have desert, cannolis. We tho if he they were comp lol, but when the bill came...there is no bill! She just gives you the total lol. Pretty sure we paid for desert and the awful food. I don't know how this is an over 4 stars.

Some of the occasional negative reviews of this place are shameful and totally unworthy from my experience. The gnocchi in "the Little Store Gnocchi" dish was melt in your mouth perfection. Best I ever had in the USA (I have been to Italy 40+ times). The mushrooms, truffle oil and Alfredo-like sauce (it's better than classic Alfredo ... smoother, less sticky, less fatty, more garlicky - and scrumptious... it was so tasty, I could drink the remnants like a divine soup -- and frankly, I did! The Veal Marsala was tender and seasoned perfectly, coated in tasty mushrooms and a dark Marsala sauce that was done with just the right balance of sweet and savory. My wife had the Seafood Di Mare that was piled high in a skillet full of calamari, shrimp, mussels and scallops on top of homemade fettuccine. The white wine sauce this was bathing in was a little tame for the magnitude of the dish - good, just not spectacular. All in all, we loved our food so much that we ordered a Haddock Francese "to go" so we can have it the following night and expand our Little Store palate. The ambiance is cute and quaint, old school pictures on the wall in unmatched frames that you would find at a garage sale. I felt like I was in a neighborhood ristorante in Tuscany. We saw only 1 employee all night and she was a hustler (in a great way). She did everything ... never stopped buzzing around to take care of a full restaurant-- not to mention a thriving takeout business (folks ... please tip this gal even when ordering takeout - she is busting her tail for you!). I love the BYOB approach because I always have lots of wine at the house - I don't need to spend an additional $100 on a $40 bottle of wine when I go out. One last comment - this is an adorable romantic place - unless the guests who visit make it otherwise. I was there with my wife, as were several other husbands enjoying a relatively quiet night out with their significant others. One younger group of 5 friends took the center table, and as the alcohol consumption rose, the volume crescendoed to the point of shouting just to be heard. A neighboring gentleman intervened and asked one particular girl to please stop shouting. He was right to do this - and to the girl's credit, she apologized and the rest of the evening was so pleasant. I say this just to remind people - restaurants are only as pleasant and romantic as the guests who honor them. By all means - celebrate life and friendship ... but be wary of your surroundings when your neighbors are just an arm's length away. God bless the Little Store -- Marbleheaders are sooooo lucky to have her !

She was patient and kind and took the time to understand what we needed. We ordered cocktails... because tonight was the last night I could before I re-start chemotherapy. Both my father and I ordered the Sangria ($14.00) ... And it was *amazing*. Honestly, it was the best I've had since my best friend and I drank together at a Flamenco restaurant in Montreal in June of 1985. My mother ordered the house dry red wine ($10.00) I didn't taste it and she didn't mention whether it was good or not. We ordered one Ceasar Salad ($10.00) and it was both really generous and incredibly delicious (see photo). My parents and I split it three was and it was plenty. The tang of the dressing really worked against the sardines and garlic. I'd definitely go back for more of that!! For dinner, my mother ordered the beef special.... Beef Braciole ($33.00) in an epic sauce. She loved it... but definitely could not finish it!! She brought the leftovers home (as did my father and I). My father ordered the Veal parmigiana ($29.99) and it was a massive, almost overwhelming plate of food (photo attached). He loved it (as did I when I tasted it!). For me?? I ordered the Pollo Vodka Bella Napoli ($26.99 - photo attached). It was a huge, almost overwhelming bowl of food and it was amazing. Deep, rich flavor with mushrooms, bacon, shallots, and tender chunks of chicken. The noodles we all ordered were the home made & hand-made fusilli that are produced in-house. I think that if a chef is going to spend the time necessary to make noodles, you should savor them... and that's what we did. Suzanne offered us a chance at dessert, but we declined, since we knew that if any of us ate a bite more, we would hit critical mass and destroy at least the surrounding block. The only weak point we encountered was the bread. It was weak, drab, and lacking in taste and character. They could do much better on that. Our bill, with taxes, was $162.62. With tip, it came to $195. Totally worth it!
