As a native New Yorker, I have searched for a good pizza in Eugene and thought I found the place until my experience with a simple order of a slice to tryout. I asked for the slice from the new pie pictures and she sort of refused to when I asked saying we didn't have room on top which as a pizza lover, was BS. I waited for her to warm up the slice, took it outside and wondered why she added parm cheese on it. I tasted it and was not happy with it. It tasted old and the cheese was not great. I tried to go back inside and talk with them about it, but it seemed like a waste of time. It's a shame that they decided to move old food rather than give me fresh food and what I asked for. The fact you contradicting yourself by saying an employee should give the customer what they request, and then saying I throw a fit and slammed the pizza. I throw the pizza in disgust because of the fact your staff does not listen to the consumer. You cannot tell Me that the two pictures of the cheese slices don't differ in freshness. I don't appreciate you describing me as a crazy customer when the fact is clear that your employees push the old stuff first. I did ask twinge btw. read more

Absolutely awful... on our way to sons baseball game we stopped in for a quick pizza by the slice. Everything was already prepared and sitting in the case. Ordered 4 slices and a small Caesar to go. 25 min later the already prepared pizza was not even in the oven to warm.... Salad hadn't even been started. What was supposed to be a quick grab and go lunch was a wasted 30 min and $50.... No refund, no food, we just left. Unreal. read more

Wow ..So I ordered a pizza last night and half and half went and picked it up. Got home and it was still raw. Went back to the store and thought they had finished cooking it only to find out they cooked it on the plastic box liner. And it was still under cooked . A very classic Italian, East coast, style of pizza. Thin crust, but generous edge and crust. Everything had the right balance of flavors. They also offer Stromboli and some other Italian classics. If you have never tried Stromboli I would recommend waiting until you are at a place like this where they know what they are doing. Professional and courteous staff. read more

I'm sure this was amazing pizza back when it first opened but this is in no way New York Style pizza. First, the price of a 12" pizza is $25.00 including the tip and the service was charitably mediocre; not bad but not worth the tip I gave them. That's not a 'Karen' thing to write it's a 'the cashier really doesn't want to answer your questions or talk to you' kinda 'thing' and that resonates with me. The boxed pizza is NOTHING like the slices. Slices looked subjectively good but they were sitting. The dough looked like it's kept chilled, and sent through a machine press instead of a traditional pizza dough tossing. Ingredients are arranged Papa John's style which is pretty fine with me. When the pizza came out they sliced the pizza 'school lunch' or box style. The crust was NOT crispy at all. New York Style pizza to be deemed so should be manually flipped, topped, then baked to a crispy doneness, and then sliced in triangular slices to be 'NYS.' This is not New York Style. Pizza was alright, not great. Certainly not worth the price. Got a delivery, put in the instructions "Knock on door." Pretty simple, right? Delivery driver dropped my $30 pizza on the stoop in the pouring rain without a knock, a text, or anything. First time at this Italian Bistro. It was tightwad Tuesday. So I ordered a large Half Hawaiian half italian sausage with peppers. This pizza was one big ass pie. I thought the crust was outstanding. Also, the toppings are under the cheese. The sauce was spread evenly all the way to the back of the crust. Perfectly proportioned. I went here for the first time because I placed an order off of a discounted food app. When I arrived to pick up the order, I swiped the confirmation in the parking lot. When I walked in, there were no customers, only one lady with feather earrings working. I showed her my app purchase confirmation and she said I should've swiped confirm in front of her... there were no instructions to do so when I made the purchase. She was seriously, the rudest customer service I have had, ever, and repeated herself to me like I was an idiot, SO many times. Said she would let it slide this time. Like an honor system. She said they get no notifications for the app, and I did it wrong. To berate me, on repeat, for a $5 order. Nobody deserves to be talked to that way. I am so glad I didn't sent my daughter to pick it up. She would've been traumatized by this interaction. I'd rather go anywhere else... Best pizza I've ever had on the west coast. It's phenomenal to put it in the lightest of terms. Tightwad Tuesday 2 topping for 20$ is so cheap of a price that I actually feel guilty paying so little for that quality of a pizza. Their by the slice price is very nice as well any day of the week. If I didn't have a 70% off coupon, it would have been $68.00 including delivery fee and tip ($51.20 just for the pizza) Crust seriously tasted like cardboard. I remember going to Bellizzi's as a high school kid in the 90s. Johnny would always be chilling on his stool and his mom was there too. Sweet little family run operation and hands down the best pie you could get in town until they closed down. There was a cool booth and a neon sign and the menus had a great little story about their family and the Eugene "family" a.k.a. mafia. I think I took my girlfriend out for Valentine's dinner my freshman year of college and since we were regulars there they gave us the booth. Somehow I ended up noticing they were back (thank you Facebook) and decided I needed to test it out. My wife loves a thin crust pizza so I was reluctant to recommend a place that rolls their toppings into the crust but she agreed to give it a whirl (on our anniversary nonetheless). Happy to say that after 2 decades since I've had a taste of their pizza they brought the memories right back, and almost brought a tear to my eye. I did take out but can't wait to go sit in and see who from the old family is still there. I miss the old location as it was closer to my home but I'm happy they're back and I'll be coming back again soon, the wife and kids love it. Nice clean place, nice people. Pizza was WEIRD. I expect to find a tomato based (or some sort of) sauce. There was none. Pizza was flat, lacked seasoning and lacked salt. Their explanation, that's how they make pizza. Zero flavor meant that I walked away from $10 worth of pizza and went to find something else for dinner. I just got a custom pizza from this establishment. My first time. Fir one dropped on my doorstep...nobody notified me. If I didn't have a ring camera alert I wouldn't have known. My order was $50...I went to grab the first piece and toppings all slid off. The cheese was awful looking and milky. I took one bite and it was awfully. I called the establishment right away and said, "it tasted awful" and her reply "there's nothing I can do about it!"...I replied I guess I'll go to yelp. I guess I'll call dominoes now. Good crust, employees seemed happy, we ate in and was fine but seemed mostly a take out place.

Have been waiting to get to Bellizzi's and wasn't disappointed. We started with a family sized salad to share that was awesome. Pizza was amazing and ended our visit by sharing a piece of cheesecake and few cannolis. To top it off the establishment was extremely clean and staff was very friendly. 10/10 will be visiting again. read more

Gave this place a try for the first time for a take out order, service was pretty bad felt like I was inconveniencing them at the counter and they had better things to do. The pizza was not much better, when I got home the pizza was not cooked all the way and for $30 minus tip which I regret now, it was pretty bland. I was able to salvage the pizza with my oven and some fresh basil so not a complete loss. But I highly doubt I will be spending any more money at this place. read more

We were driving by and saw the name Bellizzi's and we had to stop. Some may remember their place down on east 11th, same family, and same great pizza! When you order a full pie you get the rolled crust with toppings inside, always loved that. We did by the slice for a quick lunch and it was delicious, just as I remembered. We ordered a stromboli in the early afternoon on Friday, May 12, 2023, and the store manager neglected to ask what size we wanted. When we realized the issue and clarified our request for the larger dinner size, the manager became disgruntled at her loss of food ingredients, as she had to make another to accommodate the order, starting over. Upon opening the package after pickup, the stromboli was smaller than all previously ordered dinner size identical requests. After taking a photograph for evidence, I called the Eugene location the same date at 7:07 PM and asked to speak with the restaurant  manager. The female who answered the phone told me she was the manager on duty, so I explained our dissatisfaction. The female manager validated her role in having personally made the order, while refusing to seek to correct her wrongdoing of specific retaliation for having purposefully made a smaller stromboli. She actually attempted to create an excuse of the potential pertaining to why the order would have magically shrunk in the oven. I have one photograph of the wrongfully created order, and I just might order one more identical order before refusing all further orders, to enable myself to collect another photograph validating my claim for the City of Eugene Chamber of Commerce, et al. read more
