Above all, the food was revolting. I placed a delivery order for two slices and a cannoli. When it arrived, the pizza was room-temperature and the cheese was congealed. The crust had a strange flaky biscuit-like texture. Worse, the cannoli was clearly stale to the point that the pastry had a slightly rancid taste from the oil going over. There was no transparency with the ordering process, so I didn't know I was ordering through a third-party app until I got the receipt by email. When I reached out to the restaurant about the food, they predictably pointed me to the app. I emailed the app company, who told me they wouldn't process a refund because the manager denied any problems when my order was picked up. So I contacted the restaurant again and spoke to the owner. He repeatedly cut me off and talked over me, playing the victim because "these apps are terrible!" and finally blaming the delivery driver. And of course since it was driver's fault, he wouldn't give me a refund or credit either. Especially since the pandemic I always prefer to support local businesses. I realize that not every meal is a perfect home run and sometimes people have off-days. But a little accountability and transparency can go a long way as a new business builds its reputation. I wish them the best, but from now on I think I'll stick with Mezza Luna. EDIT TO RESPOND: Jeremy, you are clearly the one with the confusion. I contacted the restaurant on Friday and spoke to Caden who directed me to Slice. After Slice refused me, I called the restaurant back Saturday and spoke with Jasmine who was very apologetic and offered me a replacement for the cannoli (and only the cannoli.) She then took my information and told me that the owner would contact me on Monday. When no one called on Monday (?) I called back on Tuesday and had a single conversation with you as described above. You never mentioned a replacement meal and dangled the prospect of a refund "out of the goodness of my heart" once you received the week's invoices from Slice. A lot of businesses offer mediocre product and that's okay. I have a lot more respect for someone who stands by a mediocre product than someone who refuses to do the right thing and then lies about it when held up to public view. All you did with your response was validate my initial impression of Bellizzi's. Apparently your business practices are just as bad as your food. read more

As an Italian in eugene, it's not often that my family finds great Italian food that feels as though grandma cooked it in the kitchen. I've been here a few times with my family and we have never been dissatisfied. The food is not only delicious, but the staff are fantastic. Everyone came and spoke to each table whenever there was an opportunity to do so and owner came by the table and had a lovely conversation with all of us. The overall vibe of the place is very relaxed but authentic. My mother loves the cannolis and my personal favorite is the chicken parm sandwich! Absolutely recommend! Best pizza in Eugene hands down! We tried this for the first time on grub hub to try a new pizza place and ordered the Mambo Italiano. Each bite I kept saying wow! Needless to say we have been back a few more times already. I have eaten at every pizza place in town and even worked at a couple when I was in college. This is by far the best! The dough is thick and the crust is amazing. The ingredients are so fresh. I am always impressed by the gentleman who works at the oven. You can tell he takes the time and is focused to make sure the pizza is perfect every time. If you are trying for the first time I suggest ordering a whole pie. read more

Crust was not too thick while being soft on the crush and still being crisp on the bottom. Even cut it into Chicago pub squares. Had an old world taste that I haven't found outside of Chicago. Delicious pizzas , very New York style and I love love the crust. The owner was super kind when he didn't have chili flakes he offered us some marinated pickled vegetables and those went as an awesome side to the delicious pizza. My son loved their meatballs and the tomato sauce/ pizza sauce ummm umm so good. So lucky to have this in our neighborhood. Will be my go to place now for yummy pizzas. Being new they do need more staff for faster turn around time on food but which place doesn't have teething issues when they start. read more

I've eaten here twice. The first time was just for a slice for lunch. Everything went fine, no issues. The second time my wife ordered a whole pizza online. She picked it up and brought it home. It was just a cheese pizza - NOT the pizza type we ordered. I tried calling repeatedly to try and get it corrected - maybe they gave us the wrong pizza, or maybe they could remake it. Despite calling maybe 10-15 times, their phone always went to voice mail. It was clear they were not picking up their phone. So I have to drive there with the cheese pizzas to figure out what was going on. They apparently had a new person on the register on a busy Saturday night, and the online order was entered wrong (how does that happen?!). They gave us a refund but there was nothing extra offered for our TWO trips to the pizza shop that resulted in no pizza. If they could be bothered to answer their phone, they could have simply remade it for us without us having to drive down there and wait another 45 minutes. It's very frustrating for a voice mail to claim that they're just busy with other customers and to call back in a few minutes, when it's clear they're not answering at all. Two stars instead of one because the pizza is actually pretty good. But they need to answer their phone, and they need to have well-trained people on the register entering orders from the online system. I hope for their success but they have work to do and for now I'll go somewhere else. read more

2nd time here in one week! Everything we have got has been delicious! Their cannolis are soooooooo good! Definitely a fan of their Greek pizza! The garlic bread is a must! Absolutely amazing!! The owner is so sweet and came around to all the tables asking how the food was. He stopped at our table and talked with us for a little bit. Came to realize we are from the same home town in CA. We got there right before the school lunch time rush came in and even with tons of kids all around it didn't seem crazy crammed. My husband and I were excited to try out this restaurant today for lunch and they did not disappoint. Their pizza and crust was phenomenal!! It's nice to have such a great pizza/Italian spot so close to home. Not to mention the price ! Wow! Such a low cost for amazing food and service. I've been going here for awhile, and love the Cesar salad. Last night, I got my usual large Cesar, and it was white, browned on the edges lettuce, that was clearly turned, with no bright green fresh lettuce. Best Pizza Place I've ever been too. My husband went with his ex boss which is now one of his best friends. After bringing my husband in he decided to take me out for lunch here. I ordered a pizza today for the first time. Unfortunately I wasn't happy at all, in fact I threw it in the garbage it was that bad. the pictures they post give you the impression that your going to get good (real deal) east coast style pizza. Dominos is way better and a whole lot less expensive. I asked for a NY thin crust, the crust was thick and doughy, don't understand why the smothered the whole thing with cheese, i couldn't really see my toppings and I couldn't really taste them either leading me to believe there wasn't much there. I believe the dough they use comes premade frozen and they use a conveyor type to oven. which would explain the under cooked crust. I hate to leave such a terrible review but I had this delivered through Uber and it cost me $52. oh well lesson learned I guess, hopefully I can save someone else from making the same mistake. read more

Ordered an 18" thin crust pizza for takeout. The crust was as tough as cardboard (and just as flavorful). As someone who only orders thin crust, I'd have to rank this pizzeria at the very bottom of all the pizzerias in the Eugene/Springfield area that I've tried (and I've tried a lot of them). Will not be going back... Order a pizza which was fine I guess. Also order some pasta dishes and wanted salad and garlic bread with the pasta. I was asked if I wanted cheese on the garlic bread which I said yes and what size salad which I said family. I paid and only after I paid they said it would be an hour and 15 minutes for my order. The order in front of me which was a phone order they quoted 30 minutes. I took my family home and returned to the restaurant about 35 minutes later thinking I would take care of some email while waiting for my order. Walking in they were calling my name. I walk to the counter but apparently the only thing they actually had ready to pick up was the pizza. They started gathering all the other parts of my ordered spread throughout the restaurant. Included in what they were bagging was three small salads. I said no I ordered 1 family size salad and then they told me the pasta comes with salad and garlic bread. They over rang me by $30 instead of telling me what I wanted was included in the price of the pasta. I was over it and wanted to get back and eat so I said I did not want to wait for them to process a refund. That was my choice. When I got home I found they decided to not put the family salad I ordered in the bag and the hole loaf of cheesy garlic bread I ordered they replaced with a half loaf of plain garlic bread. If you are going to ring me up for more than I asked for at least have the decency to give me what you charged me for. read more

I love to support small businesses and eat local. Decided to try their pizza. I had read Yelp reviews and they were all over the board so I figured I'd decide for myself. Well, unfortunately I was not a huge fan. It wasn't really bad, but it also just really wasn't that good. Normally I have to tell myself to stop eating too much pizza but this time I was kind of relieved when I was done with what I had on my plate. I've got tons of leftover 60 dollar pizza and I'm honestly not sure we will really eat it. Something was just missing for us here. My closest approximation is it's like Papa's Pizza. So if you love Papa's style you might love this. Otherwise I'd recommend buying slices to try before investing in a whole pizza. There's a pizza for everyone, unfortunately this wasn't mine. read more
