I'm always super grateful to find pizza places that can do a vegan gluten-free pizza (so many can do gluten-free but with a non-vegan crust, or vegan pizza with only gluten-full crust). And love that this place isn't far from my home. They have a few options for vegan toppings in addition to the vegan cheese, so I got the vegan pepperoni (and the employee working there let me read the ingredients to make sure it was gluten-free, and it was). I was also able to do a no-sauce pizza since I can't do tomato sauce anymore. Perhaps some sauce would have made the crust less hard and crunchy, but while delicious, my pizza was hard and crunchy. Even the cute little branded pizza cutter that came with my pizza had a hard time making slices. But it was tasty and satisfied my craving for pizza. Nowhere near the best vegan gluten-free pizza I've ever had but it'll do the job well enough. And it's a little pricey but it's specialty ingredients, I suppose. Okay so here's the deal - we've walked into this pizza place at least 10-15 times since moving down the street a month ago BUT we've only actually ordered pizza slices from here about 4-5 times... The reason being is because on our very first visit here, they had an AMAZING vegetarian slice of pizza (which we of course forgot to get the name of!) and we've been coming back to try it again, but it's literally not been available as a slice since. They typically only have about 2-3 vegetarian-friendly slices available on a regular basis: fresh mozzarella, regular cheese and something with zucchini on it. They sometimes have a grandma made with burrata, but we've only seen this once or twice. So what happens is this: if we walk in and all they have available for us vegetarians to eat is a fresh mozzarella or zucchini-something slice, we walk out and go somewhere else. This happens OFTEN! Which is so frustrating as this is the closest pizza place to our apartment and they have very delicious pizza. They just never have enough vegetarian slice options available!!! I'm a big fan of this pizzeria due to a combination of factors including its close proximity to the subway, historical tradition beginning several years ago, and a true dedication to detail. Thin crust with freshly prepared ingredients, my favorite slice is the mushroom pizza with fontina cheese cooked just right. There are vegan options, individual pies and freshly cured pepperoni slices that feel like you're stuck in the classic 1950s. The staff are extremely nice and let you take your time asking questions about the variety of options they have in stock. The grandma's pizza slice is really good, too. The woman at the counter told me she did not have change so I started to fuss with my phone and see if I could move money over with my venmo or something . Took my family here a while ago because it was a chilly, rainy day after picking up my son from school along with his cousins that were visiting at the time and they were all getting hungry and got excited for them because I've had the pizza here and I knew they needed a solid NY pizza that wasn't going to disappoint. Ambience: Bellucci opened in Astoria a while ago and it started off as a small shop and now has a whole seating area! After noticing how much it grew and the lines that are still present, I finally decided to try it! Food: we ordered an 18 inch pie - half burrata and half subway (there classic). I really enjoyed both pizzas! The burrata tasted really fresh especially with the tomatoes. The classic though was really delicious and I'd probably opt for that again! Service: they were really accommodating bc they were able to do a half and half pizza! I took them a while to figure out how to charge us, but they made it! I was excited to try the gluten free cheesy bread. The price says $12. I saw $12 on the screen then the price changed to $16. I asked the person ringing me up why, then a guy in a white shirt who seemed in charge said what's the problem. I said the price changed from $12 to $16 I think there was a mistake. He said let me look and no the price is the price. A customer behind me confirmed the price said $12 on the board as advertised. The guy proceeded to look at the board which says $12 and said well, the board is wrong, I will change it on the board. I asked the guy if he could go or the advertised price and he said no. It took 3 minutes of convincing. He even went so far as turning the cash register around and showing me. I said to not mansplain to me. Silly man then realized it was because I was charged $4 extra by mistake for sides of ranch that are included. Instead of apologizing he blamed his employee at the register. The employee at the register was nice. Honestly for the horrible treatment they should have offered it for free. When he gave me my cheesy bread I said that I was disappointed in the treatment but I was looking forward to the cheesy bread. He did finally did apologize verbally. Which is great because who needs more conflict in the world especially now. I accepted but couldn't figure out why he lectured me for so long. Not sure why he was on a mission initially to prove me wrong, that's something he will have to search deep down in his soul and check his bias. The other customer left without ordering. The pizza is nicely done. The crust has a nice crunch. The dough has a crispy feel and and it's not too doughy. I love it! The staff is funny and is friendly. They offer freshly grated parmesan cheese on the top of your slice if you want it. I have been twice and neither visit was a disappointment. I had a grandma slice and also a plain triangle (circular sector). They have many different topping choices and also many options. Only downside is that it's tiny, and you might have to eat this at the park or at home? It is take out only. Ate here today for lunch by myself during my lunch break while working full time and across the street as a teacher assistant at The 30th Avenue School (Q300). I had brought and ate the pepperoni pizza with a can of soda. It was great and delicious. I just went to Bellucci to try out some slices. I went around 8:30 pm (they close at 9 pm), so tried some slices they had available at the time I showed up. The space is a good size, with some seating, and is very clean. I tried the following slices: Plain (3.5/5): Decent plain slice, but not my favorite. Sauce was good, crust was good, could've had more cheese. Grandma (4.5/5): A really tasty grandma slice. A good amount of cheese, great sauce, and crispy crust. Ratatouille (4/5): A really interesting slice, topped with a lot of zucchini. As someone who doesn't love zucchini, I liked this slice more than I thought I would. Sicilian (4.5/5): I don't tend to like Sicilian slices, but this one was great. There was a good amount of cheese, sauce was good, and the dough was fluffy but substantial. I also got the Cheesy Garlic Bread (4.5/5), which was really tasty, and came with marinara dipping sauce. I really enjoyed my pizza from Bellucci, and would definitely return. read more

They didn't have a plain slice option so I had to order the pepperoni slice which cost $4.50. The girl behind the counter was so preoccupied talking to her boyfriend that she didn't have the courtesy to offer me a tray to put this very oily and very salty slice of pepperoni pizza on. When I asked her for a tray her boyfriend interjected and directed me to take one of the dirty trays that were sitting over the garbage can. This place also looks to be copying the name of the place further up the street on 30th Ave and 37th street which is the real Andrew Bellucci pizza, which was the place that I originally intended to go to but got confused because of the similarities in the name. I read about this pizzeria in the New York Post, therefore I had to travel out to Queens to give it its just do. A short walk off of 30th Ave on the N train, it is a fairly nondescript shop that is easy to miss if you are a fast walker. At least they have a couple of tables outside to eat, and that there is plenty of people eating at them. They do take only cash, but two slices for $8 is a bit high, considering what I got. See for yourself below. A cheese and their signature Vodkaroni was the fare I got today. Cheese slice: A fair slice, nothing much to really like or dislike. The slice is plenty crispy and the crust has nice taste, but the sauce tastes rubbery and off. The cheese is not bad, as the slice is sprinkled with Pecorino Romano cheese, and you definitely taste it. I would not recommend it, as I felt it had a cheap feel to it and sorely lacking that little extra to make it great. Very disappointed overall. Vodkaroni: Unlike the cheese slice, this slice is insane, on so many levels. Like the cheese slice, the crust is spectacular. The vodka sauce complements the pepperoni without coming across too strong, the pepperoni have excellent flavor. Like the cheese slice, it too is sprinkled with Pecorino Romano cheese, but it adds to it instead of just being there. I thought this slice would run right through me, but it did not. It's a very frigid Saturday night here in Astoria. Through Instagram, my wife found out about this new spot that opened up here in Astoria. Since we both didn't want to cook, we figured why not give it a try. No regrets! We walked in and it was quite a tiny and narrow place. They were up front about not taking any more orders for pies because they were behind on their current orders. So we decided to try out some slices they had on display. After maybe a few minutes of reheating the slices, we paid and were good to go. Have to point out here that the slices are each $5. For pizza, that's definitely above average. I'm of the view that if they pay their workers a living wage, then it's a fair price. Hopefully they are doing so. The slices we got were very delicious. It's a thin crust style, and they really nailed it in terms of how crunchy it is and the flavor. The cheeses and toppings work very well together. My favorite was the veggie slice with mushrooms, onions, sharp cheese and balsamic, since the cheese had an incredibly sharp flavor. They put freshmozz, two types of pepperoni, and vodka sauce. The bread is chewy and reminds me of a flat style baguette texture and taste. The bottom wasn't too burnt. It was perfect. No sesame seeds or semolina flour needed on the bottom because their crust is unlike any ive had in nyc. Their pie prices varies from 16 to $30. A trustworthy friend recommended this place to me and I am so glad I listened! Bellucci is amazing. When I went there to order a pizza, I got there around 7 pm and a few minutes after I ordered my pie, someone walked out to inform the queue that they were not able to take any more orders because they were overwhelmed with the current orders and could not do it anymore. The people in line were very sad but they seemed to belong to one giant party and they all walked in to order all remaining single slices from the counter. Just like that, they had sold out. We ordered a Vodka Roni pie and it was such an interesting and exciting marriage of flavors =) everyone loved it. The second pie had some fresh cheese and prosciutto on it and was very tasty as well. Will be back to try out all of the other flavors. I can't wait for spring time when the pizza will still be piping hot when I walk it back to my house! This place is one of the top pizza places - the best of the best. Extremely delicious thin crust pizza. Even the crust gets finished and I don't always eat the crust. It is so good and crispy. The sauces are amazing. Got a burrata pie to take-out and it was so yummy, even without the extra burrata balls. It comes with 2 big balls in a container in a brown bag, so don't throw it out without looking inside. I thought it was utensils. I actually forgot to add them before eating a slice. Then added it to another slice. I have to say it doesn't really need the extra burrata. It's that good. Also, I like my pizza hot. With take-out, it does cool down, but this pizza was still good a little cooler. I'll have to try eating there one day though. One side of the crust did get a little soggy, but still good. I think it's the sauce. I've tried a regular pie before when it first opened and that was great. Knew it was a place I'd order from again. It's a small storefront. No inside seatings. Another great restaurant to visit with my buddy Paul, located on 30th Ave., in Astoria. He chose for the three of us, square meat lovers pie and the square pie with burrata. The staff generously offer to grate fresh parmesan atop the pie selection to your content. Say no more. The square pie definitely was the best choice. The dough is crispy and thick. Burrata is an Italian cow milk cheese made from mozzarella and cream with soft texture. Both square pies packed with flavor. From the last photo on the right clearly evident that we were half done with the square burrata pie and about to feast on the meat lovers square, filled with pepperoni, chicken and sausage.
