As you walk in, you're greeted by a market and an oyster bar. Then, through another entrance, you discover the dining room. It's such a fun and unique layout. They offer a tasting menu, but since we were planning to stop somewhere else afterward, we ordered à la carte. We started with the oysters, and they were incredible. The strawberry sherry jelly on top elevated the fresh oysters beautifully, adding just the right touch of sweetness and acidity. Next came the chickpea socca and the tomato salad. Together, they were absolute perfection. The tomato salad was one of the best I've had. Dressed with a tomato-water dashi vinaigrette, it was bright, refreshing, and full of umami at the same time. Light, yet surprisingly deep in flavor. Our favorite dish of the night was the Summer Pasta. The lemon butter sauce, tender summer squash, and bursts of fresh tomato created the perfect balance. Every bite tasted like summer. For our final dish, we had the halibut with artichokes, couscous, and grilled kombu. It was beautifully cooked and everything paired well together. It was delicious, although the earlier dishes had set such a high bar that this one felt a little more familiar. We did end up sending it back (which i hate doing) and got it redone adding another 10isj minutes of waiting on top of our already pretty long wait (but again it was busy so we didnt rlly care much for the wait) but i did get full off of the sides by the time the redo came out The redo definitely tasted alot better, it didnt taste burnt which was good but in general didnt really have much flavor. I will say the potatoes were good, bell peppers were okay, unfortunately nothing was great....we ended up spending around ~$210 for two people for a meal that really did not satisfy either of us, we'll maybe give it another try on a less busy day but it was rough considering this was also our anniversary dinner

Often times gluten free items lack a bit of substance when it comes to how it feels, but the nice meaty chicken pieces really helped offset that in the case of the chicken sandwich. It was fulfilling to eat and would do a great job filling up anyone who is hungry. My wife went with the waffles and they were great. They were presented beautifully with a gorgeous flower garnish. Portion size looked nice and generous from examples of things we saw being brought to tables, such as the salad and focaccia. Best appetizers were fried cauliflower and the asparagus dish w/ the eggs (which would be even better if warm). The one fish entree is the sablefish (ours was underseasoned) that's brought out on thin piece of cedar with edges still slightly charred. It comes with nothing else on the plate so plan accordingly. Just inside the door they have a little snack/pantry curated market of sorts, where you can linger while waiting for seating and can buy things like a cute little bottle of honey for $20 or a colorful crocheted wall hanging basket for $70. Lots of good natural light because of the walls of floor to ceiling windows. Option of ample seating indoors and outdoors because it's a corner location. Cautionary note: We saw and heard a lunatic in hoodie who, at 6pm on a Friday night, walked up to one of the unoccupied outdoor tables and flipped it over, causing the plates and glasses to fly in the air and shattered, landing in shards next to the elderly couple at the next table who jumped up, her understandably in shock and tears.
