Truly the best car service! I've brought several issues here and Hratch is always knowledgeable, patient, and clear in explaining the problem and solution. As a woman it can feel intimidating dealing with car repairs but he's kind, trustworthy, and genuinely happy to help. Highly recommend!! read more

Great and speedy service. Extremely welcoming and honest customer service. I came in looking for a second opinion on something and the owner was so great and helpful in explaining everything to me. I couldn't recommend this place enough. read more

Ridiculously overpriced - hourly rate is more than a dealership. Does shoddy work, too. You won't want to take it back to have him fix it because he doesn't really know what he's doing - he takes shortcuts. read more

These guys are amazing. We have been going here for years starting with our 88 Honda and we now take our Mazda minivan and Toyota. They only do foreign cars and was a major decision factor when we bought a new car - I used to have a Dodge and I had to take it to another reliable guy who was 1 hour away - that is how much we love these guys! If there is problem they can not solve, they will not bullsh*& you but direct you where you need to go to fix the problem. Last year, I had my tires rotated at another place (wrote about it here) and they got me all upset and worried that I needed major work AND they wanted me to agree to all this work over the phone right away. Luckily, I took it to these guys who told me not to worry, it did not need to be done right away, they would keep an eye on it, etc ...and I had them do the work - a year later when it needed it. I feel very comfortable and safe with Aram and his place. read more

I've been fortunate not to need car repair very often over the years. When I have, I've relied on Aram. I kept my last car for a very long time, and Aram always gave me candid advice about what was worth paying for and what wasn't. Now that I have a new car, I'm bringing it to Aram for maintenance. read more

It was the best auto service I have ever received. On time and very nice people. I would highly recommend them. The mechanic that worked on my car is Hratch. I rate them a 5 star! read more

This shop is wonderful! Brought in our aged Subaru for a general check. Aram identified numerous problems, but was extremely realistic about which issues were high priority. Repair cost was very reasonable and there was absolutely no pressure to do additional repairs which were not immediately warranted. The car is running great now! We will definitely be back. read more

I'm wondering, is that picture of the pipe welded, and if so, is that the quality of work to expect from here..??

My 2001 Lexus LS430, 212K miles, had the check engine light on. Car running horribly - shaking, no power up hills and gas mileage was very, very poor. OBD reader said 3 of 8 cylinders were misfiring. Major issues. I have worked with many mechanics over 20+ years. Never very satisfied. I researched Lexus/Toyota mechanics and found Aram on Yelp. Completely 100% happy. Aram quickly diagnosed the problems - yes - as expected - several problems. Repairs, which weren't trivial, were done when promised and correctly (he had to correct previous substandard repairs; he did not go looking for work - these were issues directly contributing to the misfires) . His explanations of the issues and options were thorough. I cannot suggest strongly enough that if you are looking for a really competent, completely honest, skilled mechanic for your Japanese auto (Toyota /Lexus - my experience; Honda/Acura, Nissan/Infinity, Mazda, Subaru - these are Japanese auto manufacturers and on Aram's website) Aram is the mechanic you will want to hire. Find the right person, have it done right and pay the money. Car problems, left unattended, do not get better and they do not go away. They just get worse and more expensive. BTW - I am taking my 2004 LS430 to him also. I am also going to leave this review on Google. read more

These are the best men who have ever done car repair for me IN MY LIFE. They are my car therapist! I trust them always. They tell me things to do with my car, where to go to buy tires. Repairs to NOT have on the car, and they will make my Toyota last two more years. On and on I could go. They repair only Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Lexus, and the other high end car made by Honda. AND I and my love will only buy these cars. They do all the work on all my cars. They have an awesome Christmas party in December, and all of the people they service turn out. Great Armenian food is served, and customers contribute too. I love going up to anyone, as if in a singles bar, and saying ' Hey, what car are you?" And sharing great stories of repairs and passion for these two men. They also occasionally sell one of their customer's car, and its the tops! read more

I'm writing to chime in with my five stars. I've been taking my car to Aram for three years now, and he's never steered me wrong (no pun intended). Here's an example of Aram really going above and beyond: in more than one case with exhaust problems I was having, he honestly told me that for him to repair the problem, it would cost much more than to bring it somewhere else; and the place he referred me to saved me literally over a thousand dollars. Another time, he told me where to get tires cheaper than what it'd cost for me to buy them through him. If it were any other mechanic I've met in my lifetime, they would have tried to fleece me. Not Aram. It made me feel like he genuinely takes his customer's best interests ahead of his own. When he actually does do the maintenance and/or repairs, he explains each thing in simple, easy-to-understand terms, doesn't patronize, doesn't candy-coat anything, doesn't cut corners. He will check in with you before performing any prior-unknown service, telling you what he's found, how much it's likely to cost, and so forth. He's never ended up charging me more than what he'd initially estimated. He's been honest as to which repairs are time-sensitive, and which ones I can safely put off. And it's always been below the cost of what any other repair shop has quoted me for similar services. You'll probably have to book your appointment with him in advance, but that's because so many people want to have Aram taking care of their car. The cash-only thing does not deter me; I actually prefer it that way. Aram has earned my trust and loyalty, and it's worth taking a lump of cash out of the ATM. Even if I move out of the immediate area (I am lucky enough to live a block away), I will still take my car to his shop for any repairs, maintenance, and so on. And yes, don't confuse his garage with the garage next door. (His is the driveway that goes to the upper floor.) So yeah, really, Aram's my go-to man, and will remain as such. In my 28 years of driving, I've never been nearly as satisfied with a mechanic as I am now. If I could give six or seven stars, I would. read more

Great place. They are quality work at a good price and get stuff done in a timely manner.

Aram always pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful. He even remembered me from 30+ years ago!

Aram (the owner) is incredible. I had been searching for weeks for a used car and thought I finally found the right one on craigslist; it had clean Carfax, etc. I looked on yelp for a Belmont-area mechanic and saw the strong reviews for Belmont Auto, so I brought the car to Aram to have a look at it to see if it was a good buy. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't be fooled, these guys are good. Aram took it on a thorough test drive, and then brought it into the shop where he put it on a jack and checked every inch of the car. Through his thorough inspection it was identified the car needed a lot of work (engine mount, brakes, muffler, rust). He never pushed any kind of recommendation on me, but very professionally made a list of the kinds of work the car would need were I to buy it. He felt like my ally and gatekeeper. I did not buy the car, and afterwards he gave me great recommendations about where and how to look in the future. He offered that even if I didn't bring a car to him in the future he was always available to chat on the phone for recommendations and advice. He is seriously a great guy, nice and conversational, has integrity, honesty, and I would recommend him to anyone. read more

I have been going to Belmont Auto Repair for 30 years. Aram is a genius with cars and if I had to buy a new car I would only consider a foreign brand that he specializes in. Other repair shops have told me he is universally respected. My 2000 Toyota Rav4 has aged beautifully with Aram in charge. It's still going strong I love the car, so thank heavens for Aram! read more

Operating power plants for 35 years makes me a pretty tough customer when it comes to mechanical issues with my cars.I have one Honda Accord with 300,000 miles on it thanks to Aram. The best thing about them is that they really listen when you describe a problem and are great in finding and solving it. They enjoy their work and take pride in getting it right. Dave read more

I've taken my car to Aram and his team for last 5 years. They really do amazing work, try their best to work with existing parts rather buying you new parts and charging you more. Always stick to time and get the job done on time. Aram used to work with Lexus dealership so he is very knowledgeable with cars. Only con is that payment is in cash and you have to be at the place before 5 to pick up the car but I'll take that over paying more and repairs done improperly. Your car will be taken good care here ! read more

This place is the best. Aram is honest, quick, and does fantastic work. When you take your car to him, he'll give you realistic options instead of just upselling you to the most expensive fix. A couple of times I've taken my car to him and he hasn't charged me anything because it was either a quick fix or it wasn't something that necessarily needed work. Incredibly nice people, too. The only thing to note is that they only take cash so be prepared. read more

People who use this auto station beware! Plenty of smiles and reassurances to cover up price gouging and shoddy workmanship- I learned this the hard way after putting my trust in Victor. They are not honest - I spent over $4000 trying to keep a pretty decent little Subaru running for my daughter - after replacing the whole engine- which he reassured me needed to be done the car had the same overheating problem from day one- I was basically milked along- got played and feel stupid- take your business elsewhere ! read more

Best place to have your car repaired in the greater Boston area. These guys are honest, thorough and hard-working. You will never get ripped off coming here and the prices are right. I won't take my car anywhere else...since I moved last summer, I even drive all the way down from Burlington VT to get my car fixed there! read more

I am surprised there aren't more reviews on this place. This place way great. I took my car in to have it looked at. I was having some problems with my shifter. He looked at it and explained what was wrong as well as something else that that wrong that I wasn't aware of. However, there was absolutely NO PRESSURE to get it fixed right away. He seemed to me completely honest and fair. I am not sure if I will spend them money to replace these parts on my car or if I will just run it into the ground. But if I do have it done I will certainly be taking my business here. read more
