I went in for a flat tire and was told my pressure sensor had given out as well after the repair, despite it working fine until I showed up. came to find out they had screwed the sensor on when trying to replace it (the sensor does not need a screw) and busted it. I understand mistakes happen, but being lied to and told to pay to fix that error makes me strongly concerned about the business. read more

11/30/2024 Sullivan Tire saved my life last night! After hitting a gnarly pothole and wrecking TWO of my tires, I pulled into the shop in Watertown distressed, without an appointment, one hour before closing. Jonathan handled the situation with humor and grace. He helped figure out which tires I needed. They didn't have the tires on site, but another employee, Kevin, offered to drive to the Waltham location and pick up the tires I needed, which was incredibly nice. With the help of Jonathan, Kevin, and the mechanics, I walked out of the Watertown location in 50 minutes with two brand new tires, appropriately rotated too. AND the price was super reasonable despite the extra work they put into it. I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. 10/10, highly recommend!! read more

I bought four new tires from Sullivans and when I got the car back it was making a strange noise in the front. I called the store manager (Louis?) and was told to bring the car right in. When I get there the service manager, Andre refused to have the car looked saying I needed an appointment, even though I told him his coworker told me to bring it in. Getting nowhere with Andre, I asked to speak with Louis who agreed to take the car. I asked to go on the test drive so I could show them the noise, unfortunately Andre was still mad, and continued to argue with me about why I needed an appointment. I was stunned at the continued lack of respect I was getting as a customer. Against my better judgement I left the car with them When I got the call to pick up my car, Andre handed me an estimate for over $1,800. Shocked, I ask Andre what happened to my car, he walked away saying he had nothing to do with it and gets Louis to try and justify it. Its very suspicious that all of a sudden my car needs all this work right after argument with Andre. The next day, I looked at the struts. The boots are all torn and there are large gobs of lube stuck to the pistons. Ive heard of shops doing this to convince you that the struts are leaking. Hydraulic fluid doesn't stick to the pistons in gobs. I brought the car to an honest shop who confirmed there was nothing wrong with the struts or the brakes. The sway bar bushing needed a little silicone which got rid of the noise issue. This was the worst car repair experience ever. These guys both Andre and Louis should not to be trusted period. Will never go back there again. If I had proof they ruined my strut boots I would press charges rather than just leave this bad review. read more

I have used Sullivan Tire Watertown before without problems, but on my most recent service (new tires, alignment, brake service, and battery) they returned the vehicle to me with a bent steering bar, refused to repair the damage, and refuse to reimburse me for the $1500 it cost to repair at another shop. I'm sure they'll respond here stating that their claims department reviewed the case thoroughly and found they were not at fault. It's my word against theirs, and they hide behind their insurance adjuster, offering no customer service support when there is a problem. Beware - you might be fine, but if there is an issue, don't expect much from Sullivan Tire. read more

I dropped off my car for a routine inspection. It was in excellent condition when I dropped it off. When I picked it up 24 hours later, the entire side bumper had been sheared off, and the underlying metal had been bent back and torn. Somehow Sullivan had managed to do this while my car was briefly in their care. The repair process has taken a month to complete. The auto body I've worked with -- who has been better on just about every level than Sullivan -- had to replace the entire door, re-mold the side of the car, and re-paint the whole thing: total cost, $4500, which thankfully Sullivan reimbursed me for. But the inconvenience has been major, and I will never be a customer of Sullivan Tire again. I don't know how they could have let this happen. read more

Terrible experience. They took 4 hours to mount the tires and then "aligned" for an extra $150. Problem was the alignment was way off, caused threading. Toyota up the street noticed it 1 week later. I would not recommend this shop. read more

If I could have given them 0 stars I would have done That. Kept my tire 24 hours tho they have been aware I'm a tourist and need the tire fixed ASAP. My husband called several times just to be told they'll start working in it right away. Finally I went there and the tire have been sitting on the side no one have even looked at it. . I should have been getting my tires here all along Forget the national chains, these guys are the best. Super easy to schedule an appointment online, got right back to me, excellent communication. They didnt try to pressure me into an upsell. Just sold me the tires I wanted and did an overdue alignment. (And showed me the data on HOW out of alignment my wheels were). I got four new tires here last winter, since I had just took over my Grandfather's car (which was Florida driven only). They've been great all year. Good traction through last year's snow storms and they give good rain driving also. Well the other day one of them got punctured in a car wash... you can see my review on that place under "Belmont Car Wash." I purchased a protection plan on the tires when I bought them, so I knew the repairs would be fully covered. I made a 3pm appointment and headed over... It all took about 35mins. and they were able to confirm that the rim leak that they had to patch was "more then likely caused by the car wash." They said it was all patched up and good to go. So I make the 15min. drive back home and when I got out of the car, sure enough... I hear the same hissing leak sound. There was a nail hole in the top of the tire too. Now this was either already there and they missed it, or it was caused by so really horrible luck. Sooooo back to Sullivan I go... They brought it right in. Paul, the manager, was very nice and apologetic for possibly missing the hole. They had it, once again, all patched up and good to go in 10mins. Since then, I haven't had any leakage from the tire at all. In the waiting area they have a decent sized plasma TV, pretty wide selection of magazines, complimentary Green Mountain coffee, and Free WiFi. They also have a area where you can work on your putting game (see pictures) while you wait. read more

Update: I got a call from the manager, Andre, expressing regret at the mixed messages. He offered to not charge me installation if I decide to go for a new set of tires. He also said he thought the tires were fine for highway use as is. It's nice of him to offer. If/when I take him up on it, I'll update this review again. read more
