I've been with Belmont Dental Care for a few years now and plan to stick with them well into the future. Having had bad experiences at the dentist as a kid, I purposefully avoided getting regular cleanings for nearly a decade. But then I started having pain in one tooth. A friend suggested I try out sedation dentistry, and after reading a million reviews I picked Belmont Dental Care to get it checked out. Overall, the staff at BDC are kind and personable. The tech who does cleaning for sedation folks, Mark, has always been extremely patient with me. He also always tells me exactly what he's about to do before doing it, which is a big help. Whenever a friend mentions looking for a new dentist, I always recommend Belmont Dental Care. Incredibly, I can finally say that I don't absolutely dread appointments for cleanings, which I completely credit to BDC's thoughtful approach to treatment and also offering sedation. If you're afraid of the dentist, I highly recommend giving Belmont Dental Care a call and asking to book using sedation. read more

Dr. Joe is the best! I am not one for leaving yelp reviews, but felt like this was more than necessary because Dr. Joe and his office always goes above and beyond. To say he knows what he is doing is an understatement. More importantly, he truly cares about me, the patient! I have serious anxiety of being in the dental chair, but him and his staff always ensure I feel incredibly at ease and will do anything to make me feel comfortable. They are all gentle, kind, and considerate. And when I was going through a serious mental emergency, Dr. Joe and his office took care of me in a pinch and was able to squeeze me in with my crazy schedule. I found Belmont through a co-worker and finally booked an appointment because she let me know they were really paitent with people who are terrified. They really are. I love everyone there, they take their time to expalin things to me, work with me on costs (as I have no insurance and pay out of pocket), call to follow up with me, and "nag" me - in a kind way - about my next appointment so I dont chicken out. Ok.....This place is amazing on first impressions. They have a great waiting area and smoking hot dental hygienists, assistants, whatever their technical term is. Just like the previous reviewer, I noticed they had some pretty high tech equipment, which made me feel pretty good. I found out about this place like I do most things...a referral. Dr. Joe is the nicest guy and seems to be very knowledgeable. Now, you are probably wondering why I am giving it 1 star. When we moved out of the area and it was no longer convenient. I went to a new dentist to get some of the work that I had not completed at the new guy. When I told him this dentist wanted me to get 6 fillings, he laughed. He said that was absolutely false and the teeth were fine. Yes, they had old silver fillings, but they were doing OK and not broken down. Well, correct me if I am wrong, but a few people would have just done the work and taken the money. Obviously my new guy was not BSing me. SO, I give Dr. Joe and his hotties a big one star for trying to basically steal without being 100% honest. As you will see by my reviews, I never give one star unless you truly deserve it. Okay where should I start? I initially came to this dentist because my partner told me that he received great service for a few fillings but I on the other hand had a very different experience. As you know, tooth aches are some of the worst pain a person could have. I came into Belmont Dental Care because of an unusual pain I had developed over a few days which later I found out was a chipped tooth next to a tooth that I had a root canal on a few months ago. The dentist told me that the tooth had infection in the root but it did not appear to me that there was any infection on the x-ray. After sitting in the chair for nearly 2 hours with my mouth wide open and receiving painful injections, I could hardly open my mouth to eat or drink weeks later. I felt like I was going to go into shock from the severe pain I was in. The whole left side of my face was completely sore after the first stage of the root canal. "The pain should go away after a few days" the doctor said!!! Well, IT DIDN'T!!! As of today, I am now facing yet another issue with the same tooth because I was not able to go back for the final phase of the root canal due to the severe pain I was still having when I opened my mouth weeks after the first stage. The doctor proceeded to give me Ibuprofen after I explained to her that I had a bad experience managing the pain with my 1st root canal and that the pain I was still having days later after the 1st stage was almost unbearable. She acted like she didn't care how much pain I was in and just wanted me to deal with it!!! There was no after hours emergency line to speak with a dentist regarding the pain I was still having and as of today several weeks later and seeing yet another endodontist, the same tooth is now cracked all the way down to the root and cannot be saved and I now have to receive an implant! I really regret coming here and would not recommend this business to anyone. I really feel like they wanted to charge me for an unnecessary procedure that I did not require at the time just so they could collect the insurance money. This is a tough review to write, as the very reason I went to Belmont dental care initially was due to reading each review on here thoroughly and noting all the glowing experiences. I spend a great deal of time researching each new business I go to for the first time, and with something as sensitive as dealing with your teeth you want to make sure you get this decision right. Unfortunately, I made the wrong call in choosing Belmont dental care despite all my homework. As many reviewers note, this place has a LOT going for it. I felt so assured I had made the right call when sitting in the lobby filling out new patient forms. I had not been to the dentist in some time, and was stressed about the situation. Over new years eve while on vacation, I bit into a piece of bone accidentally on a piece of chicken, and had completely cracked the back portion of the tooth adjacent to my front teeth. The tooth was hurting me a great deal, and I was uncomfortable constantly. On arriving I got to meet Denise at the front desk who was incredibly polite, friendly and helpful through all my visits. I had Dr Joe as my dentist, and he is also awesome. Friendly, laid back and knew just how how to put my mind at ease. When I came in I was notified a veneer would need to be put in place as the tooth was damaged so badly a bond would not work. We had to schedule time a few days later on for the service to take place due to the lengthy time the procedure would require. The price for this tooth repair was going to run me just under $600 out of pocket, as apparently even though the tooth needed fixing to be functional at all, a veneer is more cosmetic then anything else and insurance would only cover so much. I had them verify with my insurance in writing what exactly would be covered to make sure I didn't have unexpected charges down the road. A few days passed and they called me saying that $600 initial projection was accurate and had been verified in writing. I felt great about Dr Joe, Denise was very helpful and a real professional, and I decided not to see other dentists to confirm this was my only solution and obtain other pricing and diagnosis. That was a HUGE mistake on my part. I went ahead with the procedure, and it turned out wonderful. My smile is back to looking great, and I felt at ease throughout the three hour procedure. The issue and problem wasn't with my service or their expertise, but that I ended up receiving a random bill two and a half months later for an additional 300 dollars along with the 600 I already paid. Spending almost a thousand dollars out of pocket for a cracked tooth is a tall order, but if I had known it would end up costing this much I would have seen some of the other top notch dentists in the area to confirm the problem and that veneers was my only option. Evidently, they told me that although my insurance had verified in writing how much I would have to pay, a few months later they decided there was a 'whoops' along the way and I would be the one to deal with that error. This whole thing felt like a total lie and deception to me, and something added a couple months down the road just to try and squeeze me out of every dime possible. I have no problem paying for outstanding service. I was impressed with every aspect of the procedure, and Dr Joe and Denise were a pleasure. Tacking on 300 dollars months down the road after I requested them to obtain confirmation is just bad business. I called them to discuss and see what could be done as I hadn't anticipated this 'bill' but they let me know it is what it is and pay up. There is nothing that can be done, and no concessions were to be had for telling me one thing and doing another. If you can't trust your dentist, can you really feel good about them performing surgery procedures?? The funny part of this is that I had intended to come back and get a few porcelain veneers for cosmetic purposes to make my smile really shine around the time I received the bill. That would have been around 5k out of pocket, but something I felt comfortable with and knew what it would entail going in. I am so disappointed with how they handled hitting me up for 300 dollars months down the road that not only will I never go back here, but I have many friends who ask me if I know of a great dentist. Rest assured after this bait and switch I let them know where exactly not to take their business. This is a place that has loads of slick style and flashy appearances, but you absolutely cannot count on them following through on what they promise you when it is all said and done. Great customer service, excellent office and chair side manor. but how in the world do you tell a healthy adult, who had a clean exam 6 months ago with a different dentist, that they now needed 9 fillings. The reason? "the cavities are between your teeth, so for one cavity, we would need to give you fillings to both teeth surrounding it". kinda strange, when another dentist gave me a second look and said i maybe needed 2 at most, and that's just because of some fillings i got ten years ago filled with the metallic material (and not the modern white substance) were starting to have some decay around them. be smart. if something sounds fishy, don't spend 700-900 on 9 fillings, get a second opinion for cheap somewhere else and figure out what you truly need done. read more

Dr parrot is hands down the best dentist I've ever experienced. He is bright, extremely personable, and his zeal for thoroughness in his care is obvious. I was recommended to Belmont dental care by a great friend of mine and although I knew she wouldn't steer me in the wrong direction; I was still so shocked at how wonderful this office was. Truly a breath of fresh air, everything from reception to the appearance of the office, to Dr. Parrot, his dental assistant, and the hygienist. Janet, one of the receptionists, is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I have a heart condition and when I called to have antibiotics ordered for my visit she treated me with so much care and detail. She even called me to be sure I knew to pick up my meds. I have never had a dental visit be so friendly and smooth. Not to mention it was my 4 year old's second dentist visit. He was treated like a tiny human and had things explained to him in a language that was exciting and interactive. I cannot brag enough about this office. There are TVs overhead to watch as you are serviced, water, toys for the kids, Janet will watch your tyke while you finish up (lol). I am getting a snore device made with them and I have no problem paying whatever I need to have them service me. I have blue cross blue shield which they accept but if you don't have insurance please note that they do a free exam for first time customers. My hygienist was thorough and sweet as well. The first thing I noticed about Belmont Dental was the uber-high-tech facilities. The equipment is all (at least to my layman's eyes) top-notch--from the computer displays to the dowsing rod-like device which can find cavities like a Geiger counter. The examination rooms are private and reminiscent of a set from Star Trek... well, not quite Star Trek, more like Deep Space Nine (The second season). The staff is very friendly and the dentist (Dr. Wolf... who no longer works there) was very chatty and friendly. They make a point to bring up some detail you talked about from a previous visit... obviously from a cheat sheet of notes in your file, but a nice gesture nonetheless. Your average cleaning there is good. I did have some problems with a filling once and the doctor went out of his way to fix it at no charge several months later. They do tend to recommend procedures that are possibly unnecessary or at the least more expensive than they need to be. Therein lies my main gripe with the place. It is on the pricey side. You can see where lots of that money is going, which is both good and bad I suppose. They are obviously catering to the more yuppified crowd that lives in that area of Chicago. On my first visit, my wife and I were actually taken to a back office to discuss pricing, as if we were at a car dealership or something... "You know these teeth need to last a life time, so I'd suggest you go with plan A... that is if you care about your teeth..." I guess that was meant to reduce the sticker shock a bit. I just had work done with Dr. Joe and went on here to recommend him and saw the bad review. My last dentist was old school with typical diagnostic equipment. I was told Belmont Dental was way ahead of the pack in terms of technology (one of my clients is a dental imaging company and gave me the info). Firstly they are using magnification (at the max power for loupes-10x mag), obviously, the better you can see then the better you can diagnose and treat. the three other things they use daily to help with diagnosing and treatment planning are photography, digital radiography, and the diagnodent...Those tools let you see things that other Dr's with outmoded tech can't see. Yes, you can go to another Doc and he or she will say "I don't see anything wrong"...but that is not truly the case. For example, digital radiography enhances the resolution and gives them the ability to diagnose problem areas earlier. Basically addressing small problems before they become big problems. Wouldn't you rather be aggressive and replace a small filling then wait for it to break down and then need a root canal and crown (which is very expensive). Then there's the diagnodent. It's used mainly in teeth that show staining in the grooves. That type of decay doesn't show up well on the xrays, the diagnodent allows you to be much more precise with the diagnosis which is better for everyone. No I'm not a dentist, I just work with dental supply companies who in turn sell to dentists and they schooled me on what I need to look for in a dentist. So there's your technical breakdown on why I recommend them so highly. The staff is also excellent and professional. Sure they're hot, but that's not why I will continue to go there... read more

I also just had my first visit to BDC. Picked them based on Yelp reviews, and wasn't disappointed. I could tell just from talking to the receptionist that it would be a good experience. She was friendly and professional, and made an appointment for me that same day, which I wasn't expecting since I was a new patient. Got there- small office but tidy and clean with up-to-date magazines to read in a variety of flavors. The technician called me in promptly at my appointment time, and after she did the initial screening, the dentist came in promptly too- no waiting around waiting to be seen, so that was pretty sweet. The dentist and technician were both friendly, thorough and gentle. They had this little bitty camera and took a picture of every single tooth in me mouth. Then they showed me the pictures on the flatscreen and explained what was going on. I seriously could not do their job. I don't want to see the inside of my own mouth that close up! I have to say I have been going to Belmont Dental care for a few years now. Even when I wasn't going to the dentist at the time but had questions about my teeth Dr. Gil Parrott, took the time to email me back to answer any questions I may have had and explain things to me. He was more than willing to take on the challenge of working with me when I have seizures that cause my Jaw to lock. He is the most exceptionally honest, trustworthy, patient, understanding and caring, professional dentist I have ever met! His pricing isn't bad either. He will NEVER push work on you that does not need to be done with your teeth. I would defiantly HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gil Parrott. Thank you for everything Dr. Parrott and the team!!! Denise is the Financial Coordinator, for the office. She is very helpful in discussing with you what the treatment of your teeth will be, and help you figure out a payment plan. There have been times when I tried to make an earlier appointment (not for anything emergency wise) and Denise will take the time to call me, and let me know someone had canceled, and would I like that opening! Very cool. Denise is very caring about the people that come into the office. Thank you Denise. Nubia, works with Dr. Parrott when my teeth are being worked on. She funny, and very friendly, she's even patient with me when my tongue moves all around and I can't control it because it has a mind of its own, lol, but I know it drives her crazy LOL. Too funny. She even laughs at me and wonders why it won't stay still. ;-) Thank you Nubia for being patient with me and my tongue. LOL ;-) All and all they are a very great team. They even had an office Party for their patients to "Thank their patients". It was pretty cool to be invited to the party to say "Thanks to their Patients", just that an office takes time to realize if it wasn't for their patient's kind of thing. I have honestly grown to sort of speak fall in love with my dental team. They really make you feel at home and like part of a family. Went here for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The staff was ultra friendly and treated me with kid gloves. They were even out-of-network for BCBS, but it was paid 100% by insurance anyway! Not to sound like a total geek, but the coolest thing was all the technology. They took pictures of my mouth (inside and out) and x-rays. The dentist projected them onto the flatscreen in the corner to show me what she had worked on and areas that needed better attention. Badass. Also, when I leaned back to get a cleaning, lo and behold, there was another flatscreen on the ceiling facing straight down! Now that's a nice touch for those of us who can't bear to be away from a glowing rectangle for longer than a few minutes. Everything was brand new looking, and super clean. Highly recommend; I almost want to go back before my next appointment just to flirt with the cute hygienists... and that's saying something, since the dentist is not the place to be. read more

I hate the dentist. I avoid going at all costs. It gives me agida. So, I knew I needed to find a dentsist that could also do magic. I am in my 20s, but have receding gums, so my teeth are super sensitive. So a normal cleaning can be quite painful. After a long hiatus, I returned to the world of routine dental care after I moved to Chicago. I chose Belmont Dental Care after a friend's recommendation and after reading the Yelp reviews. I was very impressed. Grace, the dental hygenist was very gentle and nice. She offered me complimentary nitrous to take the edge off. Dr. Parrot was wonderful. He has a fantastic bedside manner. He explained everything to me, and asked questions about everything in my medical history- not just my teeth. He provided lengthy explanations surrounding the work that needed to be done. He gave me numerous treatment options and let me be a part of the decision making process. He was very accomodating to my spazzy-nature while in the dentist chair. He offered to fill my cavities slowly over time or all in one sitting. After recommending I change to an electric toothbrush, he endorsed one toothbrush in particular. Even though it is sold in the office, he didn't pressure me to buy it there. Overall, I was very impressed with the care given at Belmont Dental Care. I will not say that I am looking forward to returning....but I am not dreading it nearly as much as I have been in the past. read more

I wasn't able to get out to the burbs to visit my normal dentist and I had randomly chipped a tooth. My dentist recommended that I meet with Dr. Parrot of Belmont Dental so I made an appointment. The place was classy looking and the team of employees there seemed to be super sweet. I met with Dr. Parrot....who was a total dream boat by the way.....and within an hour I was no longer chippy chippy chomper. He even showed me some minor cosmetic options to improve my, cute but unique, teeth in the future. I would certainly recommend him to anyone. He was fantastic! read more

I went here earlier today for the first time. I'm the type of person who doesn't like the dentist. I've put it off for about two years and was not looking forward for my return visit. But the staff here were all incredibly nice. They are definitely 'show and tell' type people. They showed my my x-rays, pictures of my teeth, they explained everything they were doing. On top of that, they even fit me in with the dentist when I didn't have an appointment (I only made an appointment for the cleaning). They explained the billing process and made sure my insurance covered everything they were doing before they did it. This is probably the best dentist's office that I've ever been to. Not just because of the smokin' hot dental hygienist (lolz) and the high tech equipment, but the dentist that I worked with, Dr. Parrot, has been really nice and super accommodating to budgets. I just had a cleaning last fall and he recommended that I get a filling some time in the near future, but that it is not of dyer urgency. My bf, Ben, went in for a cleaning and there was more work to be done than he could afford in one sitting, so Dr. Parrot worked out a plan for him to come in and get a couple of things done at a time. He'd start with the most important issues (a root canal) and work down to the smaller stuff (4 fillings). Dr. Parrot also put in a call to Care Credit to have them work with Ben so he could get a line of credit to speed up the process. I must say that I was not thrilled with the referral to Lincoln Park's oral and cosmetic surgeon's chop shop. I did call Belmont Dental to suggest they find another oral surgeon to refer their patients to, but I won't let them take the hit in their review because they really are fantastic otherwise. read more

I've been going to Belmont Dental Care for a few years now and have nothing but good things to say. Have had everything from regular cleanings to a few fillings and just recently, a crown. This has been hands down the most professional and polite staff of any dentist office I've been to. Joe and Dr. Parrott are the best in the business in my opinion. I have been coming here for a few years and have seen both Dr. Joe and Dr. Parrott. Their hygenists are wonderful and their administrative employees are helpful when I have questions or call to reschedule appointments. I've had my regular check ups done, fillings and a root canal as well. I love that they are not stingy with the novacaine. When I got my root canal done Dr. Joe made sure that I had my prescription pain medicine. Their after hours emergency number actually called him. I have given them a few referrals and know people that continue to use them. I'm very happy with having them as my dentists and happy that they offer 7am appointments! read more

I just had my teeth cleaned by Carlee who did an awesome job. She was very attentive and genuinely asked about me and my family. One of the most professionally run offices, of any kind, that I've encountered. Dr. Parrott's knowledge is impressive, but his care for patients is even more impressive. The time he took to discuss and resolve issues was above and beyond. And while you expect a dentist to have certain technical skills, Dr. Parrott also has a good eye for what is beautiful. Let me start off by saying this is the only negative review I have written and am doing so that others can know what is really going on at Belmont Dental. Please don't be fooled by the smiling faces at the reception desk. Dr. Parrot and his team are focused on one thing, their bottom line and not the patients. I'm not even sure where to start, as this practice is unprofessional at best. I first went to Belmont dental in 2008 to have a couple of routine cavities filled, so understand as you're reading this review, that I have been a customer of Belmont Dental for years. So when I needed a root canal, I decided to go back to the place where I thought that customer service and proper dental care were important; as it turns out, I couldn't have been more misinformed. Let me explain further. The root canal done in 2014 was the tooth that was infected to the point where half of my face was visibly swollen. When I called to ask for advice, after waiting a day to hear back from them, they informed me that I needed to make an appointment and come into the office. They said they could get me in two days later, knowing that my face was swollen and I was in pain. I decided to show up the next day and waited in the office until they could see me. Once they did, they said, "You're right Ryan, its infected and we don't have the 3D x ray machine that you need to see what's really going on". They then wrote me a prescription for my infection, charged me $128 dollars and referred me to another dentists. I was in the chair for less than 3 minutes and furthermore, the issue I was having, was with the tooth that they root canaled. They referred me to an exodontist and Belmont Dental suggested that I get the tooth root canaled again. I asked if they would stand by their work and they said that this type of thing happens from time to time and that they would not honor/stand by their work. Again, the bottom line with this practice is profits with the patients needs being a secondary afterthought. I then went and got a second opinion along with the 3D x-ray (that Belmont Dental could not provide) and that dentist told me that the root canal was poorly done and explained why. I then brought a copy of the 3D x-ray and explained to the team at Belmont Dental what I was told from my second opinion. They explicitly asked me if they could contact the other dentist and I declined. I did no, because at this point, I had ZREO TRUST in Belmont Dental. I requested that they either stand by their work or refund the cost of my root canal. They said they would talk to Dr. Parrot and would get back to me in a few days. A couple days later, I got a call from Dr. Parrot who basically tried to shame me for my poor oral health and informed me that they would not stand by their work and would 'certainly not refund me a dime'. Furthermore, you can imagine my surprise when Dr. Parrot told me that he did in fact call the other dentist, as it had his name on the CD I brought in to show them. Again, they asked if they could call the other dentist and I DECLINED. This level of unprofessionalism is beyond inappropriate, not to mention a HIPPA violation. Dr. Parrot laughed that off and said, 'since you brought in the CD, I decided to call the other dentist'. This after I EXPLICITLY told them that I did not consent to calling the other dentists. After listening to Dr Parrott talk in circles for 20 minutes, seemingly not interested in anything I had to say, I decided I had no other option that to let the community know what is really going to at Belmont Dental. This place is unprofessional, antiquated and focused on extrapolating as much money from me as possible (A common thread with a handful of reviews below). The HIPPA violation is yet one facet of the unprofessional staff, in addition to doing poor work, refusing to stand by the work and them trying to shame me for my poor oral health. Oh by the way, the infection in my tooth was so bad, I ended up having the tooth removed by my new dentists and the infection scraped from my jawbone. This after Belmont Dental recommend I get a second root canal on the same tooth, in 'an attempt to save the tooth'. My new dentist, who is a MD and a DDS said that this tooth could not be saved and needed to be removed soon due to the level of infection at the root of the tooth. I'm confident that Dr Parrot will respond to this review, as he does with all negative reviews, trying to spin the story. Please be aware that Belmont Dental is a low grade excuses for a dental office. Its my opinion, that unprofessional dentists like this, give the profession a bad name. In this day and age with ample choices, I implore you do yourself and your family a favor and go elsewhere. In summary, it's my opinion that Belmont Dental should be investigated for HIPPA violations and is not to be trusted. The 17% of 1 star reviews seem to support and echo my experience!! read more

let me start with this... for years i have stayed away from the drills, the rubber gloves, the chalky toothpaste, the spit-sucker, the bright light they shine in your face, the x-rays and the awkward conversations with their hands in your mouth. i have a hate-hate relationship with the dentist. to be perfectly honest, i am absolutely terrified of him. its an unhealthy, irrational fear that i realize no 26-year old adult *should* have, but i do. its deep-rooted and relentless. simply imagining the picking and scraping that comes along with a routine check up sends shivers down my spine. despite this fear, i recently took the plunge - and dr. joe was there to make things perfectly calming. due to my poor dental work as a kid and lack of regular appointments (thanks to my own stubborn ass and ridiculous deep-rooted fears) - i have quite a lot of dental work ahead of me... in just a matter of months, i've visited the office three times and each time has been more positive than the previous. they *actually* care about you and your well-being and i could not feel more comfortable with a drill to my face than with dr. joe. they use state of the art technology, are beyond patient, explain exactly what is going on and are always reassuring. the entire staff makes this terrible fear of mine not soooo bad. if you need a dentist - please use dr. joe. he's the best! read more

Despite my initial hope with the friendly staff - it quickly went downhill. At the time I was trying to get pregnant and had expressed concerns about irradiating my head with xrays. The hygienist openly mocked me. Then, feeling stupid, I agreed to the x-rays. Because the hygienist and a pal were snickering they accidentally hit the x-ray button twice. I know dental x-rays are probably no big deal but not a single person was sensitive to my concerns or could give a proper calibration of the risks. Then came the dentist - Dr. Lauren Weitzman filled two cavities on one side. I was in pain for weeks. I finally went to another dentist and the new dentist informed that my filling had a hole in it and to go back to the previous dentist to fix it. Otherwise she would have to charge me. The new dentist filled a cavity on the other side in half the time and no pain. It's been about a year now and still doing great. I'll never go back to Belmont Dental. read more

I have been meaning to write this for a long time and I'm embarrassed that it took this long. I have been going to Belmont Dental Care for almost ten years now. That should be enough of a review in itself. I was referred by my previous dentist who told me that Dr. Parrott was the dentist HE went to, which was more than adequate of an endorsement for me. Ever since then, I have had my scheduled cleanings and all other work done with Belmont Dental Care. The entire team is absolutely phenomenal. First of all, I NEVER wait. I can't remember a time in the past almost ten years that I've ever waited past my appointment time. If anything, they have waited for ME when I was late (I'm working on that). I also find their location very convenient right off the Brown Line Paulina stop. I've also never had a problem finding parking on Lincoln when I drive. The desk staff is as accommodating and friendly as is possible. The hygienists are always asking if I'm comfortable and if everything is OK. And Dr. Parrott is unlike any other doctor I've gone to. He is a friendly and social guy that makes me feel like an old friend instead of a patient. Most dentists I've been to give off a "clinical" feel like you're just there as a business transaction. But I have never felt that way with Dr. Parrott. I never feel rushed or expedited. This is especially important to me because getting work done can cause anxiety and it makes all the difference to feel comfortable in that environment. I should also add that any time I've seen the other dentists, Dr. Abadilla and Dr. Nguyen, they have given me the same level of comfort. As far as the work is concerned, Dr. Parrott is not just a dentist, but an artist. And I'm not saying this for the sake of a hyperbolic Yelp review. I recently had an aesthetic issue resolved that had bothered me for a long time. Dr. Parrott explained exactly what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. He understood and agreed that the point was not to make the teeth look absolutely textbook perfect but, instead, to make them look natural. The results exceeded my expectations. I am now even more confident when I smile and my favorite part is that people don't even notice anything changed until I show them before and after. That is EXACTLY the reaction I want because it indicates to me that the result looks natural and still like my own teeth. Any time I have work done, Dr. Parrott explains everything to me: Whether he's being overly cautious, how urgent it is, what's the timeline, etc. I really appreciate this because it includes me as part of the decision-making. I can take the information he gave me and make an educated decision instead of him just saying "you need this" or "you don't need that." If I ever did absolutely need something, though, he would tell me that. Luckily, with his eye for prevention, that has not happened. I think their prices are fair. I saw someone posted that insurance under-estimated out of pocket cost. Personally, I have not that happen in almost ten years. In fact, if anything they over estimate it and I've gotten a credit. At my last cleaning I was told I had an $87 credit on my account because insurance paid more than they thought for a previous claim. Additionally, I really appreciate that they do all of the insurance claim work for their patients. Not all dentists do that. Again, this review was a long time coming. I have referred friends who have had the same experiences I do and I cannot recommend Belmont Dental Care enough. read more

I went into for a cleaning. They we extremely nice and very informative. My cleaning had to have been the best cleaning I have ever had, my previous cleanings never was like the one from here. Ya know.. how come I didn't realize I could Yelp my Dentist! I have always dreaded going to the dentist, however I have been seeing Dr. Parrot and Staff for 2-3 years now. My husband and his family go there. Due to living in the suburbs, I tried to switch to another dentist for convenience. Big mistake, 2 dental appts later I was back with Belmont. What can I say, I just feel comfortable. They go over everything they need to do with evidence..lol. They show you the x-rays on the computer and actually point out and explain the damage. After reading the last 2 reviews, I just had to do a positive review for Belmont Dental Care. I have been 2 times in the last year or so for routine cleanings. On both visits I was impressed with the professional atmosphere, the very clean facility, and the super high tech equipment. I mean, they even showed me an up close view of my teeth on a computer monitor that I had never seen before. I have had 2 different (and both very pretty) hygienists, I don't remember their names, but they were very friendly, thorough, and professional. While, I have no cavities and need no additional dental treatment, I'm not sure about any other services, but I was never recommended any additional dental work. Also, both of my cleanings were covered almost 100% by my insurance, and they weren't even "in-my-network". So I don't know if I have really good insurance, or that their prices are not all that bad. I get my teeth cleaned every 4 or 5 months because I love the clean feeling. I have been to a few other dental offices but Carly by far is the best at cleaning my teeth. So thorough at what she does that I can say I don't think you will find anyone better than her! read more

I came here in February and took advantage of a $100 special they had going on. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, & knowledgeable. They gave me a great assessment of my teeth and recommended a dental plan. They also offered me some great pricing options since I don't have dental insurance! It was a lovely and clean place with the nicest staff. Definitely made the trip to the dentist an easy one!! read more

Getting even better! Had two fillings done last week and it was the smoothest appointment I've ever had. They did a great job making sure I understood everything they were going to do, were gentle with doing all the novocaine and laid on the nitrous freely to get me relaxed-- which was a huge plus considering the teeth involved were in the very back of my jaw so I had to keep my mouth open SUPER wide for an hour and a half. Super affordable and super kind. I'm very happy with choosing Belmont Dental as my dentist....finally, a dentist I don't mind visiting! read more

I had gone to Dr. Parrott for quite a few years but left the practice because I moved. His dental work is absolutely tops. I get so many compliments on the crowns that he's done for me, including from my new dentist. I was frustrated with the insurance mainly because I never understood that my insurance didn't cover much. Therefore, there were always higher costs than I expected. With regular check ups and cleaning it didn't strike me that much, but for my last crown it was perturbing. Candidly, I wouldn't have switched dentists because the insurance wasn't so great, instead I might have cancelled my insurance just because it was a waste. It was more annoying that the office people never really explained any of that to me in all the years! read more
