Make no mistake, this review is not about the dental care I received, but more of a finacial problem. Having been a lifelong dental phobe, I was happy to find these guys. Then covid comes and I hadnt been back since 2019....I had a cracked molar and pieces were breaking off...they saw me quickly and Dr.Anand was wonderful (as wonderful as a dentist can be) providing an extraction. He took his time, making sure I was comfortable. 5 stars to the doc! Problem came in with finances....prior to my treatment my hygienist (Bryce) provided a tablet with a quote of $330. I asked if this included 'everything', she responded yes. Extraction done. Went to the front to pay and met with Mimi. I advised her that my paycheck was delayed posting due to presidents day, and I offered to give my debit card info for her to run first thing the following morning, or a post dated check. She advised me that not only did I owe the $330 but also $120 for the office visit. This is the first time I heard about the office charge and advised her this is not what I was told. She told me she would speak with the office manager and call me 'first thing in the morning before any charges were made'. This did not happen. No call yesterday. I checked my banking app this morning and see they processed a charge for $456. I called the office and spoke with office manager, Melissa. She tells me that she never got a message from Mimi and that I owed it, so she charged it. She goes on to say that Bryce is new, so she didnt know. How about sending someone who did know to speak with me? This isnt Bryce's fault. This may not be a big deal to most, but this has caused issues with automatic drafts etc. When speaking with Melissa, she told me she has bills/kids graduating and is check to check herself....how is that helpful? I work in finance in a busy medical practice, I would no more charge anything without speaking with my patient, nor would I say I would call and not follow thru, much less share my personal finacial trouble a patient. I would never disrespect a patient. After all if there were no patients, you would have a job. She continued to maintain I owed it, so she charged it. I asked her to reverse the charge and charge $330 as quoted and I'll drop off a check next payday. She said, no. Its already gone through and it would take days anyway.... Wowza, I cant believe her response. I'm not in the habit of posting bad reviews but this takes the cake. Dr Chandra and Dr. Anand deserve better office staff. read more

This place is an insurance scam. They tell me I'm covered. Then send me a bill for 207$ 6 months later. I call my insurance, who tells me I'm covered. Insurance tells me to have them resubmit. They are still charging me 207$ for a CLEANING!! Also, they ask you if you want fluoride at the start, but neglect to tell you that's an extra 35$. DO NOT USE this dentist! read more

I recently had gone to get some work done on my front left tooth, during a pandemic, they made me feel safe and with their precautionary measures, I was at ease, Dr. Manvir was awesome, I hate the dentist but this place changed my mind, he was gentle and so was his assistant through out the process. About 6 months ago, my longtime dentist retired, and I felt his replacement was more concerned about generating revenue than providing value to the existing clients. So, I started looking around for an alternative and came upon Dr. Chandra's Belterra Dental. I'm a picky person, and in particular can have trust issues with medical professionals, (as Dr. Chandra can surely attest to ), so it was with my apprehension we first started working together. After a few visits, it became more than clear this is a special office where she and her team go out of their way to provide their best at every step along the way. My father is 88 and he needed a new mouthful of teeth and is on a fixed income. Another dentist quoted him over $20K. He visited with Dr. Chandra and she worked with him to get it done *at her office* for significantly less. He has a serious heart condition and is on blood thinners. Dr. Chandra brought in two specialists who spent considerable time before the 'event' with Dad and his doctors. Last week after spending 4 hours in Dr Chandra's chair, he left with a brand new smile. I have to say I was quite nervous about such an extreme medical procedure on an 88-year old. There were no problems. Great team, great practice and 5 big stars! read more

I can't say enough nice things about Belterra Dental. Everyone is so great and so accommodating. I have never been seen there before and I called because I had a horrible pain in my tooth. They fit me in and helped me get some relief until I could get an appointment a few days later. Unfortunately the next morning I was in such excruciating pain that Dr. Anand had me come in and took care of my tooth! Both him and Dr. Chandra are so awesome and I will never go anywhere else for my dental care the support staff is so awesome especially James who really helped me out along with all other staff and assistants! I've delayed going to the dentist for an embarrassing amount of...years (sigh). I have insane dental anxiety. Even just the sounds of the tools, not being used on me can cause me to spiral into a panic attack. The staff was so kind, patient, and understanding. I was scared about being shamed for the state of my teeth (which weren't bad considering), and Natalie was the sweetest. She took extra time to reassure me and chat about fun/non-dental subjects to keep me comfortable. If you're nervous to go to the dentist, don't be. Book an appointment here and rest assured that they will keep you comfortable. Also there are two TVs (one in front and one on the ceiling) that display relaxing images to keep your mind occupied. *Dr. Chandra was also delightful and took the time to explain things in a way that I would understand. Excellent, friendly dentist and staff. Unlike past dentists I've used, Dr. Chandra explained the procedures and tools as they carried out each step. She also showed me photographs of my teeth so that I could see each problem area as we discussed it. She went into detail about how I could improve, even though the condition of many of my teeth were already satisfactory; other dentists would have told me "good enough" and just moved on. The staff also cared for my comfort. They offered a choice of TV programs (broadcast or streaming) both in the waiting area and in the chair and provided glasses to block the glare of the florescent lights. They also performed the cleaning as comfortably as possible, especially during the power brushing, when they suctioned the excess water more effectively than any dentist I've used before. Importantly, I also had a good experience before and after the appointment; I've called several times for various reasons and always get a human right away (again unlike some doctor and dentist offices I've used). And perhaps because they're a new practice, they have lots of availability and minimal wait time, so scheduling appointments was super easy. read more

For example, my wife was previously apprehensive when visiting her dentist, but less so now. I have found their billing to be fair through the insurance companies they accept. When my wife needed immediate pain mitigation due to a cracked crown, she received same day care that she had hoped for. I am reassured that Belterra Dental is so well connected with many of the best dental specialists, should I need them. The practice is professional and friendly and, in my experience, the team cares about their patients and strives to deliver the best results both clinically and cosmetically. My husband, son, and I all had cleanings and my husband and son had follow-on appointments in June 2021. The receptionist overcharged us by almost $300 and then filed the claims incorrectly with both our medical and dental insurance. After several attempts to resolve the issue, 7+ months later, we still have not been reimbursed. The receptionist stated the Doctor is aware of the issue, and she does a monthly audit to try and resolve the issue, but still nothing. If the roles were reversed and I owed them $300 they would have already sent me to collections, but because there is nothing I can do except call them every few days they don't care. I had a cleaning/exam today and was especially impressed with the safety measures they were following for Covid-19. The office stays open until 7 on Thursdays which is super convenient for me since I pass them on my way home from work. Everyone is so friendly and professional and the office has a relaxed and clean atmosphere. I have seen both Dr Chandra and Dr Mortensen and both are wonderful. If you like up selling, weak insurance issues, and pay an extra $20 a visit (for covid they post and say). Every dental office I've ever been to (for 30+ years) they wear masks and gloves and sanitize things. This is nothing new to dental/doctor offices- but sure is a money grab for Belterra dental! I find that disgusting. Although we opted this year for a lower insurance premium (meaning we pay out of pocket more, when needed), Belterra is extremely over priced for their procedures. A deep cleaning for one side of the mouth is over $1000! We have paid them off, and moving to another dental office. read more

Beware the bait-and-switch. Thought I'd try a new dentist closer to home when my 17-year Austin dentist retired. Went in for "New Patient Special" which I was told came with a cleaning. Left an hour and a half later with no cleaning, a big bid for more work ("just prioritizing the critical work for now") and $99 lighter. "We can't give the regular cleaning, you need the super deep, 3-visit cleaning". In what business does the customer have to pay for the bid? Dentistry, I guess. Would have walked out happy with no charge, because they really didn't do anything for me. The "checkup" was for their benefit. I rarely write Yelp reviewed but this is the best dental office I've ever visited. Very nice and new office with friendly front office staff. The rooms are state of the art with TVs mounted on the ceiling which was great to watch while getting treatment. I had a very challenging cavity which other dentists had suggested getting a root canal but they were able to perform a complex filling which has worked great so far. I won't be visiting any other dental offices from now on! read more

I visited Belterra clinic in September as had pain in my tooth. Other dentists had refused to extract it as it was complicated. I was at the clinic for 3 hrs and Dr. Anand and Dr. Chandra both worked on my teeth and finally it was extracted in 3 pieces without any pain or discomfort. The clinic is beautifully done up with the latest state of the art equipment. The staff is very friendly and both the dentists are very efficient. I had no complication or pain after the extraction.
