If I could give zero stars, I would. Absolutely do not go to this dentist. What a nightmare! I have NUMEROUS EMAILS where they confirmed and then cancelled and then confirmed and then cancelled and then TWO phone calls where they confirmed my appointment. Then they canceled my sister's appointment. I called and confirmed that my fiancé's appointment and my appointment were confirmed. Adrian said they were. Then he confirmed that he could not set an appointment through OpenCare for my sister, so I said I would find her a new dentist. THEN ADRIAN CANCELED MY APPOINTMENT. So I called back and he said he misunderstood and thought I said I was going to find a new dentist. When I said no, I CONFIRMED MY APPOINTMENT and said we would find my sister a new dentist, he said, "Oh, okay, I'll add you back on the schedule." THEN HE CALLED BACK and said, "We've decided it's best for you to find a new dentist. We won't help you here." So Adrian messed up my appointment NUMEROUS TIMES then said that he would not admit to messing up the appointments, and that Dr. Razzaq and he had decided they did not want to help me anymore. I was super excited to find a new dentist less than 5 minutes from my house, but if it takes 6+ emails and 3+ phone calls to then be told that due to their mistakes (which they won't admit to making) I NEED TO FIND A NEW DENTIST this place definitely shouldn't get any business. read more

Don't recommend. They're all about taking your money. Every time, I arrived to a laundry list of services they wanted me to pay for that I did not want, need, or request. And typically those things were not covered by my insurance or were under covered by my insurance, so I was expected to go out of pocket. For example, my bi-annual cleaning, when I arrived they wanted me to sign for a list of x-rays that I didn't want or need (i had ton a ton of Xrays last time) and a "periodontal cleaning" which is not covered fully by my insurance. When I asked if I could just do a regular cleaning that's covered, they said we "don't schedule based on what your insurance covers." Lol No thanks. read more

Booked an appointment at Serenity with my new insurance. The new patient forms were available online and I was also able to schedule my appointment online for that same week. Big win here since typically doctors are booked out atleast 2 weeks. When I arrived, I was greeted by a very friendly and smiling front desk. They did a great job of explaining each consent form which usually if just handed to me I just skim over. I had a 10am appointment and was taken back at 9:50am. The first tech was very nice and took some basic info. The second tech came in and took xrays and photos of my teeth. She was very nice and gentle with the pieces I had to bite down on considering that is very uncomfortable. Dr Nair then came in for my cleaning and to review my photos. She was extremely thorough and answered a LOT of questions I had. I had a really great experience and will be back. 10/10 read more

I cannot recommend enough! Dr. Razzaq and her team are truly amazing. The process, from beginning to end, was super simple. I booked online and they called quickly to confirm the apt and my information. They let me know what Covid-19 precautions would be taken and sent follow-up info via text and email. At the appointment, we did all of my paperwork contactless and they took my temperature prior to entering the building. Dr. Razzaq did a thorough consultation of my concerns and put together a care plan based on her examination, including what was covered through insurance and what I could expect to pay out of pocket. In the past, my experiences have been a teeth cleaning and then they tell you what's wrong or have the dentist look at you afterwords. This was much different and I really felt like they listened to what I had to say. There were a few problem areas I have been unhappy with, discoloration and uneven shape in my front teeth. It's to the point where I had been thinking veneers were my only option. Dr. Razzaq assured me that wasn't necessary and was able to fix both of the areas with minor work. She could have been someone who took my money and let me go on believing I needed veneers, but she was very kind and took the time to educate me on what I actually needed. Also to note, I have very sensitive teeth and she was very gentile and did not cause any pain. If you are looking for a new dentist, stop your search and go check them out! read more

I do NOT recommend Serenity Dental. I wanted to change dentists from the one I'd gone to over 30 years to be near on closer to my home and who accepted my dental insurance. Serenity fit those requirements. However, the whole experience was the strangest dental appointment I've ever had, and I've been going at least 2x a year for many years. They do show you a list of the what they will be doing during the appointment, which was nice. It listed x-rays and the evaluation. One thing I didn't notice at the time was it did NOT include the standard cleaning you'd expect at a normal regular preventative care dental visit. So I go back to the hygienist for x-rays, I warn them I have a small mouth and the hygienist at my previous dentist could not use normal equipment on me. They had a hard time with this trying to cram the piece of equipment they had for x-rays into my mouth and it didn't fit, or when they were able to get it in, I could not close my mouth. Then there was the normal gum pocket measurements that I've had before. The dentist was saying a lot of 6's which I'd NEVER had before. At the end of the visit I'm told I need periodontal scaling and root planing as well as a prescription rinse. Then periodically throughout the year, I'd need repeat visits for periodontal maintenance. I told them that I needed to consider this as I've never been told I needed this before. I went home, started researching periodontal scaling and root planing. Then I decided I'd go to another dentist for second opinion and to get a regular cleaning since they never offered to do a regular cleaning (perhaps it's not in their suite of services?). Went to another practice where I'm told my gum pocket measurements were mainly 2-3, one 4, no bleeding. I did not need scaling and planing. Not to mention that after my visit with Serenity my gums were irritated for about a week following the appointment. I guess if you really want periodontal treatment, they may be ok, but I'm not one for unnecessary procedures. I will say the staff was very courteous, but it's all about what they're doing with my dental care. read more

I would normally never write a review for a dental office. In this case I think it's is important to make sure that you all know what your in for if you choose to come here. THEY ARE USED CAR SALES MEN. They will do things that are unnecessary and that they know your insurance will not cover. Basically they up sell you and unless your a dentist or have knowledge in the field they will take advantage of you. Do not trust them. Don't trust the doctor and definitely don't trust the people at the front desk. They also have a rescheduling fee. Serenity Dental is by far the best dental treatment I've had. And that's from beginning to end. I had received a flyer for a good deal on an exam and such. I called and spoke with Holly who answered all my question nicely, with professionalism and not in a rush to get me off the phone. When my appointment comes around Holly explained all the costs to me (I dont have insurance) and showed me an itemized receipt. They called me back pretty quickly and the assistant (I dont remember her name) was very sweet and also answered a lot of questions. Then Dr. Razzaq comes in to introduce herself. Very warm and sweet. We ask each other questions, and quickly got to work. Fast and efficient. Finding a cracked filling and a new filling needing to be done, they informed me of the charges before doing the work. I was pleased with that service and pleased with their prices. They have Netflix right in front of you with headphones and the remote should you choose to distract yourself. The facility was extremely nice. Very clean and modern. Highly recommend!!! read more

I have had a tooth needing a crown for two years, I had the root canal done and have been waiting. I understand COVID , but the office manager is so condescending and mean every time I communicate with the office, The doctor, who recently purchased the practice from a great dentist, doesn't have to worry about competitors, it's who is sitting in his front office running off his customers he should be worried about! I don't normally write reviews but this is how upsetting the manager made me, at least that is who he presents himself to be, the office manager. I don't think the dentist realizes what is happening! To late for me, I am finding another dentist! It is making me give at least one star to post, If there were black stars for poor service I would click all of them. read more

So here is my review: I received a postcard to come in for a $99 exam and "possible" cleaning so I booked. I didn't have insurance and was having an issue with a tooth had been giving me trouble. I called and talked to them about their options for someone who did not have insurance and they explained they had a "membership" for $300 that would reduce cost. After exam, X Ray's and consult I was told I needed a four quadrant deep cleaning for $1700! Also needed a root canal which they referred me to another Serenity dentist. If joined the membership it was going to be $1200. No cleaning that day since I needed a deep cleaning which I thought was odd. After calling around I found a competitor (Artful Dentist/Keep Smiling Austin Dental) down the street that did the same deep cleaning for $275. Dr. Novak was more informative, explained everything and very honest. I had asked for my X Ray's and sent them so it saved on them having to it twice so remember that. Since the cleaning was so expensive I'm not using their referral either. What i can say even if you have insurance do some checking and get a second opinion, PRICES DO VARY. read more
