Everyone at the desk is extremely friendly. You have to be over 25 years old to stay here. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. There's a small fridge and table for 2 in a queen room. One of our lamps didn't work, but there's a bunch of lighting options in the room. Why did I take a star away? The walls are paper thin. Zero soundproofing. We heard another couple arguing in the bathroom and my husband said he heard someone snoring pretty loudly. Otherwise this place is 10/10 and we'll definitely stay again if we're in the area.

To start, this review is 2 years late as we stayed there in May of 2024 for a show we attended in Red Bank. Property was used as a state funded shelter to house homeless / welfare recipients. I can't confirm or deny this is still happening in 2026. We checked in, exhausted from our 6 hour drive. At first glance, we were impressed with the hotel's charming decor and couldn't wait to crash. The first impression quickly faded as we headed to our room to the sounds of screams and N bombs billowing through the halls. Great, this was our neighbor. Walked into the room and couldn't even hold a conversation with my wife as the obnoxious voice in the next room was overbearing. Hadn't even been in the hotel 5 minutes and I'm already back at the front desk requesting we be assigned another room. The front desk clerk advised the property was full but assured us she'd speak to our neighbor and tell her to pipe down. Apparently she knew her personally. Did that work? Yes....for exactly 10 minutes. Then it was back to screams, n words and "yo yo yo yo m-fer this m-fer that." Could've sworn Cardi B was in the next room. Demanded our reservation cancel at this point with a full refund. Front desk lady told us she would boot the woman from the property. This is where it gets spicy. Front desk lady and woman are now involved in a full-scale verbal shoot out in the hallway. The clerk then summoned another staff member for assistance. Apparently, they didn't get along and were bickering back and forth in the midst of trying to evict this woman from the hotel. Doesn't get more professional than that. Police were called and finally after a 2-hour song and dance the woman vacated the premises. The police seem to be regular visitors there, the staff highlighted their frequent pop ins. Spoke to the Manager the next day, who seemed empathetic to our experience. We were promised a refund for the eventful night. When we returned home, I emailed him to touch base about it, never to hear back from him again. Moral of the story? Don't let eloquent settings fool you from the ratchet bowels that lie within the walls.

First of all, right on Rt. 34 S, not far off the GSP, and plenty of options for dining in the area. "Continental breakfast" was breads, bagels, a few cereals, Activia yogurt, bananas, coffee and tea, OJ. We were happy to have Cheerios, an unsweetened choice. There were a microwave, a mini fridge, and a TV in the room. The shower in the room was good. I found the bed and pillows mildly uncomfortable but it was just the one night and fine. Our room was right around the corner from the reception desk, and right across the hall from the laundry room, with windows open to the parking lot, but aside from 1 very loud conversation in the hallway right after we went to bed, it was quiet enough. The ambiance of the hotel is cute, reminiscent of an older era, nicely decorated. Of course Colt's Neck was (maybe still is) known for horses, hence the name. For me, the highlight was actually the next morning after we checked out - it's barely a half mile from the Central NJ famed Delicious Orchards. We drove back to NYC with more than 5 lbs of fresh autumn apples, a fantastic apple turnover, and a pkg of apple cider donuts!

Really convenient to everything at Long Branch Beach. First a shout out to Guest Experiences Manager Kate Fowler who took care of helping us with reservations to multiple events and stayed in touch throughout. She was awesome. Always friendly, courteous and helpful. Next Front Desk Nicole who went way beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay, with directions, advice and was a huge reason for a great stay. She is a keeper and will help with anything you need. She works the afternoon shift and even though the peak check-in, will take her time to explain everything in great detail. The Property is easy to find and with a convenient initial park at the back of the hotel, then the card to enter the garage right behind with free in/out parking included in your daily rate. Having covered parking on hot days is a must (PS if you check out, you can park in the 30 minute parking spots until you leave). Another tip, don't struggle with the trolley trying to enter the Hotel as there is a slight bump in the rear door to negotiate. Just go Infront and pull your trolley and it's much easier to enter. The lobby is fab and has entertainment for all. From a pool table, to soccer table and comfortable seating. Its where breakfast pastries and coffee/tea is provided and has a small bar. There is one elevator given the size of the Property but access using the stairs is easy. Rooms are spacious, housekeeping is done daily and there is little you need once in your rooms. Now another tip. Your stay allows access to the WAVE resort and to its private beach, pool and gym. You have to show your room key and will be issued armbands. Note that it's a 10-15 minute walk and not immediately close by but well worth the visit. Alex Warren manages the Property and is really helpful to show you around. From the Hotel it is a block to the Pier Shopping Center and the most awesome restaurants around. The beach is clean and so is the boardwalk. Book early and Kate can help with suggestions. Wonderful stay at this Property and we plan to return again and again.

So when we went back up to Jersey, we decided to give it a shot since it was substantialy cheaper and has pool and free breakfast! The check in process was easy and the front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. The room was very nice and renovated. I think last time they where still working at the kinks, but now it is great! Nice, new pool area with free breakfast. We also loved the tempered glass shower! We where gonna stay at the SummerHouse in Highlands again (which is 15 Minutes from The Hub) but we decided we wanted more of a Hotel experience rather than a cottage feel. Both hotels are great though!! I highly recommend the Hub!

We wound up finding this place and let me tell you it was an absolute gem. It is only 15 minutes away from PNC. Check-In was a breeze and the room was very clean and cozy. The courtyard was fantastic- plenty space for people to lounge around, has a bbq near the outskirts of the pool along with an electric fire pit . The pool was gorgeous, big, crystal clear, very relaxing and not crowded. They also have an Outback (restaurant) pretty much connected to the hotel, so you have easy access to dinner and a complimentary breakfast room for the morning. I actually would love to come down for a whole weekend next year with a group of friends. The hotel was definitely a pleasant surprise and I would be happy to return!

I was only here for 2 nights, so I didn't require a lot - however, the area was spacious, more than enough for 2 people; bathroom was spacious enough, and there was a small area, with a mirror, outside of the bathroom that allowed me to get ready in a comfortable area vs a hot bathroom. The room provided a large enough refrigerator, microwave.... and I believe a small stove (I can't fully remember). The room we were given faced the woods, which was a beautiful setting. If I am back in the area, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Having said all that we were disappointed with the price which was $200+ per night for a cool weekend in early October (i.e. not the busy summer season). The tv in the room was finicky and was pretty old. The available tv channels were so-so. There wasn't any breakfast served in the morning unless you wanted to pay at the restaurant down stairs. The wifi was impressively slow. The bathroom looked like every other hotel bathroom I've ever seen. Their phones were down the entire weekend so we had to walk downstairs if we needed to talk to somebody. They did serve coffee in the morning but it was the basic Keurig coffee. Again we liked the hotel, but after some discussion we thought 100-150 per night would have been more reasonable.

The room had a very clean bathroom, supplied with shampoo, conditioner, soap and all the towels you need. My room included a desk, tv in the armoise with three large drawers for clothes. In the closet, there was an extra blanket, iron and iron table and suitcase holder. I enjoyed the free water, apples, tea and coffee in the lobby. Room service was terrific and the lobby manager called me once because I set a do-not-disturb and asked if I still wanted room service. The staff throughout the entire week greeted me and were very friendly. I am looking forward to visiting Atlantic Highlands, NJ again and to stay here.

The room had 5 empty outlets in it but NONE of them worked.. the only working one was the one that had the tv and fridge plugged into it. The whole place inside and outside smelled awful but I'm not sure if it was the hotel or it may just be that area or city that stinks like that. The WiFi worked okay. And this is just my opinion but I don't like how the place is literally a circle so there's one small way in and one way out.
