What is there not to like about Ben & Jerry's? Because of COVID-19, there were some modifications to service during our visit. One: there were not cone options. Two: you have to place your order outside of the ice cream shop. Three: no cash accepted (with the exception of tips). The service was pretty fast and the customer service rep was quite friendly. You could tell that they were trying to make the best with the COVID-19 situation. I had the salted caramel blondie which was pretty amazing. Also, the scoop was quite huge for the moderate price tag.

Ben & Jerry's ice cream is pretty much can't miss. The storefront carries nearly every variety available as well as a somewhat limited number of topping options. Due to its prime location on Canada Street combined with its small footprint, lines here can get L-O-N-G, but they tend to move quickly. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Prices are high, but that is to be expected when you combine B&J's "premium" ice cream status combined with the Lake George tourist price point. Seating is extremely limited, with three or four small tables inside and two or three even smaller tables outside, so plan to take your cones, cups or milkshakes for a stroll. All in all, a solid choice for dessert in the village.

Fast friendly service. They allow you to sample the ice cream before ordering. I loved how many flavors they offered! 1 scoop with a sugar cone is $4...not bad because the scoop is big and the quality is really good.

Was so excited to see a Ben and Jerry's here in Lake George since they don't have many (real) locations back in NYC. I got the chunky monkey flavor which is banana and chocolate and it was $5 for two big scoops. I would say the taste and portion was worth the price. The store itself also gave off a very comfortable vibe. I definitely recommend getting a cone here and then taking a stroll along the piers on the adjacent street because the views are magnificent!

Fast service and composed staff. Very busy store but the staff was friendly and quick. I tried the non dairy ice cream in hand and it was delicious. Small store and very busy at night. Open until 12:30am.

I am lactose intolerant and they have a delicious out of this world dairy free ice cream (peanut butter n chips). Boyfriend said their butter pecan ice cream was amazing.

I've been here two days in a row and have been impressed both times. The staff are accommodating and the ice cream is awesome, as expected. Would definitely recommend!

They don't wash their scoops so everything is cross contaminated. Disgusting. Workers were all over the place

So the last I heard this new ice cream shop was going to be taking over the old Lake George…read moreHardware Store location, but much to my surprise I discovered (thanks to a helpful sign in the window!) that Lake George Ice Cream has taken over some counter space across the street at Cafe Vero right on Canada St. We stopped in on a Wednesday evening in what was apparently an uncharacteristic lull in the line. There were only two people in front of us, and within a few minutes we were ordering. The serve Battenkill Valley Creamery ice cream here, which is pretty darn good stuff I must say. Apparently they also serve Cremewiches (don't call them Flying Saucers!) from Martha's Dandee Creme as well, which is a fantastic addition to any ice cream shop's menu. So we each tried a different flavor ice cream, and I got the PB sundae, which was absolutely amazing in spite of the owner apologizing profusely that he was out of whole peanuts and had to substitute peanut dust if that was okay with me. All of the products and ingredients there are top notch, and the server who I assume is also the owner does an amazing job engaging with each and every customer, carefully completes each order and keeps the line moving quickly. The nice thing about partnering with Cafe Vero means there is plenty of indoor seating available if you'd rather dine in, especially if you're eating after Vero closes. Remember how I mentioned an uncharacteristic lull? By the time the five of us got our orders, paid and made our way over to a booth, the line had extended out the door, which based on the quality and price of the product, I assume is a regular occurrence. It deserves to be. I've eaten at literally every ice cream joint up and down Canada Street and around to Million Dollar Beach, and this is the best stuff in town, hands down.
