We had sampled a couple of the newer flavors and decided on the chocolate peanut butter chunk and chocolate therapy. This was a horrible experience. I debated trying another ice cream shop before settling with Ben & Jerry's. Instantly, as we walked in, the shop smelt moldy. I ordered one scoop of phish food. The girl assisting me didn't know which ice cream that was. The manager came by, and showed her by sticking her bare fingers inside the ice cream area, almost touching the ice cream. The girl scooped my ice cream and I noticed it looked like a little more than a scoop would be, but I figured she was new. She gave me my ice cream and rang it up. $12 for one scoop. After we paid, I asked why my one scoop was $12. The manager told me because I ordered a large ice cream. I explained to her I only asked for one scoop. The manager proceeded to grab the ice cream cone out of my hand, said "no problem" and threw my ice cream in the trash. She told the girl to then make me a kids scoop, which is also not what I asked either. She said she would only refund for the ice cream itself, not the cone, then charge me on top of that for a kids ice cream. I was completely blown away by this lack of customer service. The manager was beyond rude and unprofessional. I advise anyone considering coming to this establishment to highly reconsider. read more

Yes! Ben & Jerry's definitely needs to open up more Scoop Shop locations! It's my husband's favorite non-dairy ice cream so I wanted to stop in. I was happy that they had three of the non-dairy options available in the shop, one of them being one of the new Sunflower Butter flavors that I've been dying to try. You can get this info online but they had either Coconut Almond Brittle or Coconut Almond Fudge Chip (not the Coconut Seven Layer Bar) but I can't remember which coconut it was because that was one of his scoops. It was yummy. They also had Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and the New Sunflower Butter Cold Brew Coffee Fudge Chip. Those were my two scoops. Both super yummy!! I like Ben & Jerry's, but I was originally looking to try one of the many other non-chain ice cream shops that are located on this same street. Unfortunately, my internet was not working on my phone, so I just came here. This isn't too far from "Pizza Time," which is quite yummy. I walked in mid-day on a Saturday and not many people were in line at this B+J even though the street outside was packed. I don't eat much ice cream anymore, but they do sell the cookies and cream flavor here, which you can't buy in the grocery store. So I decided to go for it! I had a sundae which was a little anemic when it came to the toppings. I added crushed oreos to it as well. Portion size is quite small, which is fine, but more hot fudge would have been nice. This place is a bit on the pricey side, but that's not a surprise if you have been to their scoop shops in other locations. read more

I love B&J's! For someone who struggles with lactose, I never have a problem with their ice cream. The salted caramel was creamy and loaded with caramel swirls...yum. I wasn't a huge fan of the chunks, but it wasn't overboard either. I always enjoy the flavor combinations. If you ever get a chance to visit the factory in Vermont, do it! We've eaten at a couple of Ben and Jerry's but this one was so much better than the other one (Chattanooga). The service: 5/5 - The folks working here was nice all 3 times we ate there. They were helpful and didn't mind some of the questions we were asking them. The ice cream: 5/5 - Tried "Change the Whirled" for the first time and LOVED it, idk if they sell it in pints but when we get home we'll be looking for it. We also got our tried and true "Non-dairy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough" and it was as good as we remember. Overall, I'd recommend this place over Mayday Ice cream. read more

While walking around, my sister and I saw Ben & Jerrys and decided that ice cream sounded good. I have Celiac so I went in not expecting to find much to choose from. I asked the girl behind the counter if she knew what was gluten free (I was expecting her to say no). She pulled a list out of everything gluten free and it was a long list. She assured me that they would open a new ice cream container, use a new scoop and new gloves to make sure there was no cross contamination. I highly recommend this place as they obviously train their employees extremely well. I will certainly be making another stop to this Ben & Jerrys when I return to St. Augustine. Experience: The ice cream was really good, just you regular Ben and Jerry's. I feel like it's better to try some of the other cool ice cream shops in the area, but overall B&J's was good... nothing totally surprising or impressive, just good ice cream. Location: It's along Georgie st. which is so nice to walk along and explore. St. Augustine is known for it's history, so it's nice to enjoy the old time-y feel of everything. There are lots of shops, museums, and historical landmarks. You can also go visit Flagler college, which is walking distance and absolutely beautiful. Parking: Parking in this are is an absolute mess. There are some lots for specific restaurants, and we were able to find a public lot that had all day parking or $10 (this was on a Friday). Price: B&J's was about $5 for a small, which comes with two scoops. If I were to get it again I might ask if there was a smaller size because the portions are more than generous for such an intensely sweet ice cream. Service: Super fast service! The lady was really nice and recommended some flavors for us and was able to work both registers to check me and my friend out at the same time. read more

This is just the typical Ben and Jerry's as the ones you would find at any mall or strip mall. The varieties of ice cream are in abundance and the service was fast and friendly. They let me and my son try 4-5 different flavors until my son actually agreed/liked a flavor enough to pick it. The ice cream was as expected from Ben and Jerry's, my son made a complete mess enjoying his ice cream as also expected. Watching the rest of the line go by pretty quick made all the customers leave with a big cone of ice cream as well as a big happy smile. The difference from all other Ben and Jerry's is the great location off of George st. in the historic city of Saint Augustine, FL. I whipped around a tree and I was finally there... the world renown ice cream shop: Ben & Jerry's. Few know the blood sweat and tears they pour into their product. Legendary for so many reasons. It is there that they boast almost 50 flavors. Flavors that changed the game of ice cream forever. There is the coveted Chunky Monkey. The tempting Tubby Hubby. And not to mention the timeless classic: Vanilla. My mouth began to water, heart began to pound. I had made it. But then I saw: the eyes of the two employees staring me down. They were eyes that crushed hope and left your dreams in ruin. Eyes that would break the heart of me that night. The words left their lips like poison: "we close in 2 minutes, we can't serve you." Her words pierced my heart, making utter destruction of my dreams that night. Indeed did I protest, but only found my effort in vain as she directed me to the door. I won't soon forget this heartbreaking experience. 5 minutes left until close and these two employees who ought to carry the name of Ben and Jerry with pride made the sweet taste of their ice cream dairy product tainted forever on my tastebuds. Always I will remember my maltreatment. Stopped in today because I have never been to a Ben & Jerry's, I've only had it from the store. The employee wasn't very good at explaining the products or just didn't mention certain things, such as adding toppings into my shake or mixing the different ice creams. The shake was delicious I got the large shake and drank every last drop, partly because it was the most expensive shake Ive ever purchased at a whopping $7.99. Also I would highly recommend offering a larger diameter straw if the shake is going to have large chunks, I had to drink it like a pint of beer.
