The scoops are generous and you're very likely to find your favorite flavor in the line up. As usual, pretty good ice cream. We received 5 star service the second time we visited from a nice young man in his mid-twenties. He was delightful and generous. However, the first time we visited, there were two women in their mid-twenties that didn't vocalize anything rude, but they kind of gave each order looks when we were ordering. They were also very stingy. So I'll definitely just skip visiting if the young women are there. And definitely look out for the super cool young man. read more

As we are phasing into opening, this little ice cream shop sure made me feel uncomfortable. I understand we want to go back to normal business but the service and environment could improve. The rules here is one group in at a time. Fair. But the line sure was not 6 ft apart. The young staff members, gives you the rush to order and no welcome at all. Mind you, the only Ben & Jerry I've been to is in Vermont. So I was hoping similar service. I sure did not get some time to see what flavors were available but that was difficult as I could not see the flavors. Unfortunately, they did not wear their mask appropriately (they let is hung underneath their chin) and no gloves (as most places have worn before covid). So my recommendation to cautious customers, do not get a waffle cone. Overall, it was uncomfortable. And my ice cream melts in a heart beat and the cone was wilted because the shop was warm. I've always loved Ben & Jerry's but paying nearly $9 for a small waffle cone is just ridiculous, and they ask for a tip on top of that.

The things that I was NOT happy with brought the experience down, but there's no question that they make some kickarse flavours. ++ Big open space. Beachfront location, only a small block away from Virginia Beach. Butter Pecan was frozen solid unlike other flavours we got. - - The label sticks onto the bottom of the cone and is impossible to remove - there has to be ways to avoid this. Not all ice creams looked properly frozen, and my Cherry Garcia in particular was already melting IN THE FREEZER before I was served, and the same for Chunky Monkey, Mint Chocolate Chip - not good! Next time, we'd most likely try other places where ice creams are frozen solid like they should. read more

Visited this Ben and Jerry's during tourist season. It wouldn't have been my first choice, as I've always found Ben and Jerry's to be completely overrated, and would have preferred the Hershey's ice cream down the road, but the majority of the crowd I was with was wanting Ben and Jerry's, so that's where we went. Long line, high prices and service felt rushed (naturally with the line outside of the door). My overpriced, over hyped, ice cream was mediocre, just as I've always found it to be. The ice cream was good what was not was the price. During off season (February) with my little family of 3 we paid 20$. This was for a kids cup 1 scoop and two cones one scoop each. This was insane to me!!! Literally 3 scoops of ice cream for $20. I could have bought us a meal somewhere. Never in a million years would I expect to pay that on 3 scoops of ice cream. Amazing ice cream shop!! The service was great! My younger sister has allergies to all types of nuts, and they went out of there way to ensure there wasn't any cross contamination for her. I was extremely pleased that they also had two vegan flavors. Usually when my group goes to ice cream shops, I expect not to get anything, so this was such a welcoming surprise!! I highly recommend the chocolate waffle cones, I've never been a big fan if waffle cones until these. Staff are fairly friendly, hard to really hear them with the masks which of course isn't their fault. In conclusion, it's good ice cream and I would recommend it. read more

first time i have ever had ben and jerry's so keep that in mind! the servers were very nice and got us the icecream quickly, i LOVED that they gave us wooden spoons! i love using the least amount of plastic as possible so this was an amazing surprise! the icecream was very sweet ( i got the caramel blondie i do believe) so that was a surprise. i'm a little sensitive to sugar so after a little while of eating it made me a bit sick. the icecream was very good though! it was pretty expensive for ice cream but it is ben and jerry's so that was expected. i recommend but the icecream is super sweet. happy eating! read more

August 2, 2017 After having a great day at the beach, my family and I wanted some ice cream. While they went up to our room, I went to get the ice cream. Upon walking in, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too crowded. There were a few people standing in (what seemed to be) an unorganized line, so I politely asked the young woman behind the counter which way the line started.... *crickets*.... she looked at me but didn't answer me... hmmm, maybe she didn't hear me [I thought to myself].. So, I politely asked a second time..."There..." she answers while giving a slight nod towards the area in which the line is supposed to be. After waiting in line for a few minutes.. I ordered a 1 brownie special and 2 cups of ice cream. She made my orders, put them on the little counter then walked away without saying a word. She didn't put tops on the ice cream and made the brownie in a regular paper bowl. Not once did she ask if it was "to go or to stay". So now I'm standing there looking at the ice cream, thinking "okay, no problem.. when she comes back, I'll ask for tops and a bag" .... I wait and I wait.. I looked to the area of cash register and shes standing there *again* she looks at me but doesn't say or motion anything... I think "maybe she's helping another customer"- so I patiently continue to wait... she finally comes back to me, points to the cash register counter and says "here".. at this point more customers have come in and are waiting behind me. I ask for tops and a bag: she takes 2 tops and barely puts them on the ice cream - I had to secure them and press them down properly - she takes another paper bowl and puts it on top of the brownie special, then says "bags are in front". As I'm in the midst of asking her to please help me carry the ice cream to the other counter... what happens?.. you guessed it!... she walks away.. A customer right beside me notices, looks at me and says "wow, I guess not!.. what's her problem? I smh and proceed to walk through a crowd while carrying all this ice cream to the register. When I get there she takes out a paper bag and places it on the counter in front of me. At this point I'm highly annoyed and in a snarky tone I ask "can you please put this in a bag!".. she finally puts the cups of ice cream in a bag, but of course she doesn't put a bag on the paper bowl that has the brownie special, I'm ready to get out of here so I ask for my total, she answers me, I pay her, pick up my bag and paper bowl and start to leave while saying " thank you, have a good night" - no answer in return, of course! After picking up my brownie, I realize that she never warmed it. I had to deconstruct my dessert after getting up to my room and warm the brownie myself. After having this experience, I won't be returning. Next time I'll drive to walmart and buy my own ingredients to make dessert rather than to put up with crappy service, or go to Dairy Queen! read more

This was a nice place to stop and get a quick ice cream. Due to Covid they do not have much seating right now so be prepared to walk around town a little to find a seat. Also check the coupon books around town because their is usually some good coupons for this place in them! :) Otherwise the service was good and the ice cream was great as well. read more

They literally count the number of Reese's if you add them on top. Pretty close to counting on the sprinkles as well which they charge almost $1 for each topping. You have to repeat yourself 3 times before the whole Rowe understands you. And of course your paying beach prices. Not worth what they charge. KOHLS Brothers is a much better deal. read more
