When I use to hear the name , "Ben Bridge", I use to think it was a gimmicky jeweler, with its commercials,ads for tv. But after going in to experience Ben Bridge and getting a watch my husband really wanted for Father's Day... I no longer think that. We were pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of ALL the staff. The store had just opened, not all employees had showed up yet, but not one time did I feel the stress that I am sure was being felt when you are short staffed. (We can all relate, no matter where you work) I felt very comfortable with taking my time and shopping, Mira did not falter from the amazing customer service, that I'm sure is expected from Ben Bridge. Also, knowing that there is a security officer, who was watching over the customers, employees and the store, in general, made it for a more pleasant experience. Mira was great! Want to buy a Rolex watch? Don't go to Ben Bridge in BelSquare. They don't have one to sell you. Oh, they have some. They call them "display" models. They might as well have only photos of the models. What they do have is a snotty attitude toward customer service. There is something counter-intuitive about a retail business that projects a holier-than-thou attitude toward customers. This is not our first encounter with the less than satisfactory treatment at Ben Bridge. A few years ago, we took an expensive watch in for a battery. WE had purchased the watch from Ben Bridge. That simple service took an oddly long time to accomplish (more than a week) The store 'expert' scratched the back of the watch, thereby diminishing its value. Ben Bridge offered no apology. Why did we go back to the store? They promote Rolex watches on their website. We wanted one and this company is a long-time Seattle business, it made sense to go there. But posting images of a product and then not having that product is a kind of bait-and-switch technique. This cynical attitude has somehow kept them in business for a long time. read more

We came in on a slow Friday night about an hour before closing and they had 2 employees helping one customer and then only one other employee who was occupied with another customer. No greeting or "we'll get to you soon" then one of those employees eventually freed up and ignored us to help a couple who just walked in because they were standing at the Rolex counter. Lady was rude. I was visiting my buddy in Seattle and we were apparently looking at watches near closing time. We were helped by 2 nice gentleman last Monday night Jan 8th, 2024. Both of us have growing watch collections. This past year alone between the 2 of us we have added 2 Rolex's, 3 Tudor's and a Panerai to our collection. This lady didn't greet us nor helped us but decided to abruptly interrupt us while we were trying on a watch to tell us that we had to leave because they were closing. She said it loud abruptly, while walking towards the door, as if she was shoeing us away. 100 ways she could have said it. How about whisper to your coworker that was helping us or give him a nod to remind him to let us know that you guys have to close so that he can politely let us know. How about approaching us with a politely asking us if it would be ok to schedule a time for us to return tomorrow as unfortunately you have to close. It's unprofessional to interrupt and raise your voice while herding us out like a cattle. In customer service it's not what you say it's how you say it. You should know better. We are both in sales and do very well. I'd like to think that part of our success comes from excellent customer service and treating clients with respect. Biggest mistake is to prejudge. Maybe she didn't care because she wasn't getting the commission since she wasn't the one helping us or maybe she didn't know that we had the means to purchase anything we wanted in the store. Review in the Time of Covid: Masks are off and malls are full, but it seems staffing is still hard to come by. I came in to Ben Bridge with a very nice watch I was given as a gift by my watch-nerd spouse. Since Ben Bridge is the place for fine watches and delicate work, I decided to come in there. There was no one at the watch counter, or even in the near vicinity, and people were fairly busy. Maybe my first mistake was dressing casual. Maybe it was my well-mannered, but obvious children with me. It wasn't until an older, white gentleman came up to the counter that anyone bothered to come over, and immediately they took interest in him. I decided to take my watch box out, and finally someone talked to me. The response was curt. I said, "I would like to have the watch bracelet resized," and I got a response of, "You'll have to leave it because the person to do that won't be here til 5," I said, politely and with gratitude, "Thanks, I don't think I'll be able to wait," and she bolted off turning away with a heavily punctuated, "Have a nice day," in what felt like a sarcastic tone. The first rep I walked up to walked straight passed me and said she was busy and she'd get back to me. ok...so I wait...after realizing she just kept moving to new customers, I asked a second rep...same reaction: told me she was busy and helping someone else. Next thing you know, I see her helping someone who just walked in. So I decide, you know what, I'm just going to sit in one of these chairs and I'm going to see how far they go in trying to pass us over before I act outside myself. More time goes by and my wife starts to notice I'm getting more frustrated. Then, a rep by the name of Anthony looked over the counter and asked if he could help. He was very cordial, got our rings cleaned, and then helped us check our ring sizes and take a look at some of the other rings. This place needs to hire more Anthonys and probably do some retraining with the others. Overall, this place is a one-star but gets a second star because of Anthony. read more

I went in today with my friend to get sized for an engagement ring and to browse the options. We were greeted kindly by the sales associate, and sat down with her. I give any stars at all because the we told her what we were looking for and showed her some inspiration photos and she showed us some amazing rings that were exactly what I was looking for. I was shocked however by the judgement and underlying racism that went on through our short visit there. She made several comments about how both of us looked too young to be mothers (we're in our mid 20s) and then when we told us our age she said "oh my you are too young!" Furthermore I had shown her a picture of my daughter which she praised how pretty she was, then followed with the question "is she mixed with something?" (My daughter is bi racial, I'm Hispanic and her dad is African American) Then saw a picture of my boyfriend, and said "wow you guys have been together a long time if your daughter is almost 5" and when I corrected her and said that her dad was not my boyfriend she awkwardly said , "oh , well she looks like she could be his" ... We have been into several other jewelry stores but this location is my favorite. it can get pretty busy on the weekends but that's to be expected being located inside a mall, the employees do a great job with trying to give customers adequate attention and help however they can. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We have developed a relationship with Mark, he's great. He sets realistic expectations for wait times on hard to get watches( mostly Rolex) he doesn't promise anything he knows he can't get but also tries his best to get pieces we want.
