The 2 guys who helped me were very quick to tell me "No Thank you". I was pist and confused. I thought it was real. Most of it being marked and all. They did not . So I checked it all myself. I must say I am so incredibly impressed with how quickly they knew it was not real. I mean quiet literally 1 glance and into the nope pile. With each piece I was saying "but it's marked"! Well they were so right ! Fake as hell! The staff were all very professional. As I waited each time I saw lots of walks of life come in and I must tell you they treated everyone with the same respect ! So I have to assume the value was significantly higher for resale. The remainder was purchased for a gold value of $450. So you argument doesn't hold up. read more

Was browsing around in the store for some time and all of a sudden, a guy asked me whether I just walked in, and he said they were not supposed to open the door for me because is closed at 3. He escorted me out. When I was out I checked the time on my phone, 3:02, I am pretty sure I have spent more than just two minutes in there. Silver spot price is $75/oz and they offer $66/oz. The same item they will sell you for $80, that's an 18% spread in the bid and ask price. Additionally in WA state if you pay their price of $80 you are subject to 10% sales tax now so your cost is $88 on something they will buy back from you for $66, you are esentially losing 33% of your investment if you bought from them today and tried to sell it back to them tomorrow. If you have any precious metals to sell, do not go here. If you have precious metals to buy, do so outside of WA state. read more

Mixed. It's a decent place to unload gold and silver bullion in a hurry. You will get sort of close to spot like most places and it's super fast but I would ONLY ONLY ONLY sell bullion here or junk silver. If you have anything that's silver or gold that at all could be worth above spot, sell it elsewhere (ebay and be just w a i t?) and here's why. First I was not impressed with their selection of coins. I don't do jewelry so I'll focus on coins. There were too many ungraded low value coins in paper holders really not worth putting on display. Then they had far too many graded coins that were cleaned. Coins that were fairly modern that were cleaned or details. That's not very impressive. The one coin I wanted was only $15 below PCGS retail as well. I didn't bother to haggle. Second, selling coins and bullion. I sold silver and gold bullion here, not much but enough I didn't need anymore and got some money back. I made a profit anyway since I sat on it for years and it was close to spot enough for me. Fine. But they SEVERELY undervalued several high grade coins I had (PCGS, MS64 and higher), including one that was a far better grade than they had of the same coin they had on display in their case. Not only that but they mistakenly looked at a silver Kennedy '76 proof from San Francisco for 1 second (didnt check the mint mark) and said it was clad. You can feel it's silver just by holding it. The mint mark says S. You can see it's silver by looking at the side. They looked over a 10 Ike complete proof set (all years) and said they were all silver. Nope, 7 are, 3 are clad. Offered $125 when the value wholesale should have been $120-160 in my opinion and $125 is a real lowball. I have two BU and AU rolls of silver dimes that I was severely lowballed on. I was offered less than $44 an ounce of silver for them according to my notes. Silver right now is well above $60 an ounce. Do your math before selling, always. Know the worth before agreeing. The only two things I accepted severe lowballs on were two ungraded cents that weren't worth much anyway that I have better graded (and crazy toned) versions of that are worth WAY more at home. But that was only a 30 dollar loss there or so, so I didn't care. Back to the graded PCGS coins I had, they were all lowballed severely and I decided to keep all my graded coins I took down there. One was worth $900-$1100 and I was not letting it go for $675. The rest were worth less than $200 or $50 but I kept those out of principal. My date did buy some silver bullion there and the price was reasonable and she got an ok deal on some jewelry (I think) but jewelry isn't my expertise. I mean silver did keep going up by my check after she bought but who knows if it'll hit $70. Her money, right? And it wasn't an unreasonable buy. TLDR: Do your homework on what you bring before you sell it there. Know it's wholesale and retail value. Take your graded coins elsewhere or to a real auction or ebay. Bullion - if you can stand the price below spot and you made enough of a profit on it like I did to not really care then have at it. I will likely swing by there every now and then to see if they have anything reasonable to match what I'm looking for if it's not too close to retail and is under $200 or something. I'm playing the long game on my collection. I will say they did have a couple of verified coins that I thought were maybe worth having (standing liberty quarters, barbers, didn't look over the morgans, but did look at the 19th century gold) but I didn't ask about the price. I knew the value in my head anyway and I'm pretty sure it would have been 30% higher. If the price was lower and I didn't just shell out a lot for a lot of coins elsewhere which was a deal I had worked on for weeks with a tremendous upside and ROI, I would have possibly considered getting the roman gold coin they had. No I didn't even ask for the price as I already knew what it's worth and figured the markup would have been a bit painful. Even though it wasn't the emperor I was looking for. I know they gotta make money. I know they'll offer wholesale and not retail. But oof. Just being honest here. Set your expectations before selling here and walking in and be... realistic? Bellevue rent is expensive next to the mall. I guess that fountain and that wacky funnel art cost millions. But yeah I'll probably swing back by and browse and if I find something I like maybe I'll buy. No hard feelings here just being honest. Maybe even to get a second hand appraisal or two. I brought a 8+ct yellow fancy plat ring to test them. I showed brought original certs (GIA) and appraisal(s) showing values all over 53K. They were like starving salivating wolves circling me. Shop girl 1 texted (owner) for an offer--without laying eyes on the item, they lowballed me at about 4.2% of true value. I thanked them and quickly left. I sold it back in NY for 32.5K. Do NOT trust the staff and their professional lying skills! They will tell you your gems aren't worth anything because of the manufactured gems nowadays and not being able to tell the difference, hence your gems not worth much... LIES!!! I was in there selling items (which I had done several times, unfortunately) I walked in as an older man, obviously desperate for cash, like many of us that go in there to sell our family heirlooms. I literally heard one of the staff say, "oh yeah" very happily and celebratory, another staff said, "did you score diamonds?" The guy said " oh yeah, big ones" they laughed and then realized I was in there. I wasn't going there because I had jewelry laying around, I went out of desperation due to job loss. It was my fourth time going in, up to that point I had made the mistake of trusting these sheisters, the way they manipulate your trust is disgusting. I decided to sell one item because I needed gas... I found another place called Seattle Gold, they aren't sheisters, they are at least honest about what they are doing. I took gold there, received almost double what Bellevue coins gave me, and for the jewelry they weren't going to resell, they took the gems out and gave them back to me so I could sell just the gold, most places want the gold to melt. I left this place in shock knowing what Bellevue coins had done, but it was too late to do anything about it. I had spent the money they gave me, so I couldn't even try to purchase it back even if I wanted, which I doubt they would allow anyway. I travelled to Pittsburgh to visit family, a friend of a family member has become a jeweler, I shared the story with them; they couldn't believe what I was telling them, and how much I was paid. I won't be back...actually to any of their locations! Friday I stopped by this particular location; I figured, I've worked in Bellevue and their reviews weren't too bad... The star is just for having a pleasant attitude. Other than that it was a fairly disappointing visit. I came in with my service dog and we waited patiently. There were 3 reps when I entered and 1 greeted me and said he be right with me...once he'd finished with his customer he avoided eye contact and rushed to the backoffice and shut the door. This is not the place to go to have items appraised. I brought in a gold bar I had purchased from an online bullion dealer; as counterfeits have become such a problem I wanted to have it tested. The associate was very dismissive and said they would only test it if I was going to sell the bar to them. I even asked about paying for an appraisal and I was told this is not a service they offer. The associate told me "we are not in the business of testing the metals other companies sell". He was arrogant and made us feel like we were not worth his time. I've probably bought a half dozen PCGS certified coins from them. Fair prices each time. I've also sold to BRC. Most recently, I sold seventeen 1oz gold Krugerrands to them. I visited the shop recently to see what Bellevue Rare Coins might offer me for my silver. I had done some homework before visiting - checking out online retailers, coins sold on eBay, etc. to get an idea of what my stuff may be worth. I had also thought through what I was willing to part with it for knowing that they would need to resell it with a markup later. However, upon entering Bellevue Rare Coins, we were already off to a rough start. First, no one acknowledged me. They may have buzzed me in the door, but after I said hello, I was met with not only silence, but neither of the male employees working on the floor even looked at me. I stood at the counter for a few moments before one walked by - again not acknowledging me - to go to a back room to ask someone else to come out and help me despite the fact that I was the only customer in the store. A third male employee came out of the backroom and was initially pretty nice and professional. He looked over what I had brought in and then disappeared for a few mins before coming back with an offer that was about half of what I expected. I thanked him and said I wasn't interested in parting with it for that amount. He then asked what I expected to receive, so I told him. His professional demeanor was definitely gone by this point and he acted like I was nuts. I packed up and left. He made me feel like maybe I was mistaken after leaving so I stopped into a couple more shops before heading home... another shop quoted nearly exactly what I thought the silver was worth (my walking price not their future selling), and another after that thought I was being too conservative given the rarity of what I had an quoted 50% more than my walking price... my advice to anyone would be to steer clear of this place if you're intending to sell and to proceed with caution if you are looking to buy - the customer service leaves A LOT to be desired. read more
