Took my wedding ring in to be cleaned and repaired. I had forgotten that years before when I had lost a ruby that they had been replaced with an artificial stone. So unfortunately during the heat treatment the stones got bleached. Even though it was my forgetfulness Anthony's offered to replace the stones at no cost to me. The 'new' owner needs to polish up his proper communication with good manners and right conduct. He'd mistreated my son. My husbadn and I have buying and having custom jewelry done at anthony's jewelry for more then five years. We have always been happy to support them as a small local business in our Covington community. However, My custome wedding ring upgrade for Christmas was nothing but a huge disappointment! My husband had another band with diamonds added to my ring for Christmas and it was considered a custom job and it was $2,000 dollars worth of work and was picked up by my husband on Christmas Eve day . I returned to the store two days after christmas to have it sized correctly after adding the band . I had no issue with the ring and was excited to be able to wear it ! I was meet by one of the female employees who didn't let me finish explaining why I was there and she clearly didn't recognize my ring like the other employees even though it had been in their store being worked on for three weeks. she took my ring and proceeded to tell me that my ring was broken among us several other issues, which was surprising, considering we just picked it up two days ago. this employee continue to tell me that my sizing wouldn't be for free and asked if I had a dog because my ring looked like it had been chewed on ! I couldn't believe the question or her behavior and the things that she was saying she takes my ring makes a work order and tell me to come back on January 10rh which was another three weeks. I then simply asked her and told her I was concerned that she was telling me my ring was broken and had issues because we just picked it up and paid for a custom job. She said nothing to me, except for here's your work order and come back in three weeks, I have to say I was a palled by the conversation and the things that she was saying my husband called to find out what was going on and we did receive a phone call from the owners son voicemail apologizing for the confusion and misunderstanding. Then I picked up my ring today and was told again I'm sorry for the misunderstanding and the confusion that you experienced, but here is your ring , I understand people have bad days. I understand there's error. I understand it's the holidays and it's busy and I gave everyone the benefit of the doubt until I came today to pick my ring up and nobody even the owners son did not take accountability and apologize for the way that I was treated didn't take ownership of the way I was treated poorly by his employee as a customer. Continue to say sorry for the confusion. . There was no confusion she was rude. She was wrong, and nobody took ownership of it and it's really sad because I will never again by anything from that store. read more

I went to Anthony's on the recommendation of a friend when I was looking for a wedding ring for my wife. We had shopped at several other jewelers looking for a nice ring and all of the diamonds that we had priced were $2k or more. We went to Anthony's and told them what we were looking for in a diamond and since he doesn't carry many loose stones, he asked us to come back the next weekend and he would get a small selection for us to pick from. The next weekend we came back and he had 5 diamonds to show us, we found one that was the size and quality that we wanted for far less than the other places that we looked. We also had him custom make the engagement ring and wedding band for us and he did a gorgeous job, considering we had no picture and just kind of described to him what we wanted and he drew a very rough picture and said...so something like this? So disappointed. I took a setting and a diamond in to them after hearing from two people that they were the best. Price was ok but when I picked up my ring the workmanship was bad. You could see where they had done some welding and the setting was crooked. He was happy to fix it but I really didn't think I would use them again. Last year I purchased a pearl necklace while visiting China. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. When I got home I decided to have it restrung and knotted. Unfortunately I took it to Anthonys because they had the best price. When I inspected the restrung necklace there were huge gaps and pearls were left out. I asked them to redo it and I was told it would take a month. I wasn't really happy with thhe service and they made sure I knew how inconvenient it was for them to do the work. I offered to just go elsewhere but they refused to release my jewelry without full payment. I ended up going back five times, and I live an hour away, each time pearls were left out or it was strung too tight and once it was uneven. This was a graduated necklace. Every time they were rude and would argue with me. Sadly I gave up and paid $130 just so I could take it home. I never got to wear it because the pearls finish was no longer polished. They were ruined and I have no idea how they could have even made them dull. So disappointed and they didn't even care. read more

Bought my custom 2k engagement ring 5 years ago, they did okay work but a few side diamonds always bugged me because they were set cricked. Lost weight and wanted my rings resized smaller and soldered together. I called and they said $50 for the solder and no charge on the resize. Drove an hour right after talking with them and when I got there they wanted to charge me $114! The person helping said the gal told me the wrong prices and they always charge for sizing (they get to keep the gold!)... So I took my rings and business elsewhere. Took a ring to be resized, and it came back egg shaped! I've never seen a ring come back any other shape than round. An oval shape would have been nice looking compared to this job. It was wider on one side! It was a very sloppy job and will never take my jewelry there again! They made a very gorgeous ring look like a cheap ring that was smashed in delivery. read more

I have been going to Anthony's for about 15 years and have referred many friends to him as well. During that time I've taken countless pieces of jewelry to him for repairs (minor and major), resizing and re-tips. Since I never take my rings off, I'm very hard on them and I beat them up pretty good. Each time Anthony repairs them, the repairs are seriously sturdy and strong. I have never had to return anything he's fixed. I recently took in an older diamond ring that needed some major work. I had always wanted a different setting but thought it would be more than I wanted to spend. I mentioned this to Anthony. He suggested a few options for me to get what I really wanted. The cost was just a little more than the expense of just repairing the ring. I was thrilled that I was finally going to get the setting that I've always wanted. Anthony designed a custom ring and made a wax mold for me to see and approve. He arranged it in such a way that far exceeded what I dreamed it would be. I just went to pick up my new one of a kind custom ring and I am beyond thrilled! I love, love, love it!!! I can't stop looking at it! Once again Anthony came through and didn't disappoint. Anthony and his staff are and have always been super friendly, caring and attentive. I completely trust them with all my jewelry and would never dream of going anywhere else. We are so fortunate to have this business locally. I took in my husband's smashed Claddagh ring from Ireland, and they were able to fix it like new for $22.00. Unbelievable! They sized a ring for me at no charge, a ring I planned to replace where I had originally purchased it, and then they cut off my too-tight wedding ring, re-sized it, fixed the prongs, and made a forty-year-old ring look brand-new. The employee was very helpful as we determined the correct size and spent more time with me than she would have needed to.
